Rainbow Lattice Sunstone is one of Australia’s most unique gemstones only found in one region in the Harts Ranges, Northern Territory. A variety of Feldspar with Ilmenite lattice and triangles which display an iridescent rainbow effect. Most examples also have Hematite (sunstone effect) and Adularescence (moonstone effect).This very rare gem was first discovered in 1985 by Darren Arthur and Sonny Mason. Got this beauty today! It needs to be cleaned, but it’s so beautiful and clear, and huge! On one side is has lots of “fairy dusting” featuring many small DT crystals, it has a few smaller crystals sprouting from the base, and includes many small rainbows!
