Update: Originally this blog was meant to be a place where a friend of mine and I could screw around and post stuff about Yu-Gi-Oh together, because one of us had Tumblr and the other didn't. We kinda realized this was a bad idea eventually for two reasons. One, a shared account is never going to go well. Two, my friend wasn't really posting anything. So from now on, this account will just be my personal account.

There won't be much on external difference because, as I stated before, my friend never really made anything for the account. The main difference will be that the username for this account will change. It is still the same person running it though.

I'm still planing on posting though. Mainly ygo gx since thats my hyperfixation at this point. Specifically Edo Phoenix. There will be a lot of him. Previously the name of this blog was Yu-Gay-Oh Duo.

I always thought it was weird that Edo had the stupid teather thing in Arc-V.

It makes sense during the Yuya v Edo duel because Edo can use it to obstruct Yuya's movements but why else? Also no one else uses it and we know that people don't run away from duels. But I do have a proposal.

So when we see Arc-V, pretty much everyone seems to be gone. There really aren't any big members of the ressistance except for Kaito. Getting a little furthur into headcannon territory, I like to think that Kaito ended up as the head of the ressistance before Shun and Yuto abandonded them, and eventually set the ressistance back really badly.

Anyways, basically Kaito is the only one left from the ressistance that they really need to get rid of (thats still in heartland). And I'm thinking that the teather Edo has is specifically to use against Kaito. The plan goes something like this:

Lure Kaito on top of a really tall building

Use the teather to keep Kaito in the duel

If things started to look bad in the duel, Edo can jump off the building, effectivly taking Kaito with him

Or after he jumps off the bulding, he undoes the teather and attaches it to the building instead so only Kaito falls to his death

I had a couple really good open ended prompts to choose from, Ultomately I ended up settling on "Ghost Hunt", and while its not as polished as I'd have liked, I'm pretty happy with the result. But oh boy did life not want me to finish this one. Also I had an excuse to draw Edo again so I'm very happy about that

Kaito's a magical girl with a magical girl transformation in canon, so why not give him a magical girl design The concept is that Galaxy Eyes is the special magical girl item/being that helps him transform, kinda like the kwami's in miraculous or the glitter pacs in smile precure

To add onto this heres the aspects of the design I pulled from Galaxy Eyes vs Kaito's actual magical girl transformation (also a thing with the colors)

So I kinda just wanted to talk about it because this has taken over my brain, but I took the most aspects from Galaxy Eyes itself. The tail and the blade of the wing make up the actual weapon Kaito has and I wanted to incorperate the 'armor' galaxy eyes has into Kaito's design. I wanted the colors to be a bit more coherent on Kaito's design, and also I just thought adding something to his heqad made sense so I added that onto his head. To add onto that I changed the shoulder things to be partly blue instead of purple for the same reason.

Sorry for low quality Kaito, but I also wanted to incorperate aspects of Kaito's design itself because he's the OG magical girl. I thought the coat worked to mimic the skirts on clasic magical girls and I needed someing for his hands so I decided to give him his fingerless gloves. At some point I was going to try and work in the colors from his actual design in, but I felt that made it too busy thus I only put in white from his actual design. Also I lengthened his bangs by the sides of his ears so they're more visable under the helmet thing he has.

Colors. I was going to shade it at some point but I didn't feel like it and gave up so this is what I've got
