sometimes i see people express attitudes that are like “why bother taking racism/sexism/transphobia/homophobia/etc seriously in fan spaces it’s just fandom it’s not that serious” and my thought on that is always well we should be taking those things seriously in every aspect of our lives as y’know, a holistic approach to building a more just society

admittedly I do enjoy a lot of the theory content surrounding deltarune even if many of the theories are thematically inconsistent and/or bad. however I just imagined a beautiful world where what if instead of everyone trying to be the first to """"solve"""' deltarune prior to its completion, we were all dedicating that brain power to "theorizing" what different objects or locations would look like as a dark world. like. it's such an interesting narrative device. what if the hot new trend was everyone imagining their personal bedrooms as a dark world. or if that's too personally revealing, imagining what their favorite character's rooms would look like as dark worlds. like wouldn't that be fun. I think that would be fun. why aren't there 100 youtube videos like "what would my local DMV look like in the dark world?!" "a new jersey dark world: is it possible?" "top ten worst job locations to have turned into a dark world during your lunch break"

I think my room's dark world boss would be my half finished fursuit head (their body would be made of other half finished crafts) who's mad at me for not finishing it. early on I would explain to it the reasons why I've been too busy surviving all my responsibilities to see crafting as a priority, so then it would get mad at the light world at large for having so many responsibilities. and it would try to capture me and keep me trapped in the dark world away from responsibilities forever (a la noelle as queen's peon or asgore as flowery's best friend).

that's just off the cuff but look how easy that was can we all start imagining fan dark worlds I think it would be fun.
