Welcome to the Lunch Squad askblog! An ask based series where our favorite agent trio will just casually eat out at Crusty Bucket's whilst answering your questions.

This story takes place 2 months after the events of Hero Mode and Octo Expansion. All of the agents know about each other's adventures and they're fairly friendly with one another, though they only really hang out when patrolling.

"This shall not stand!" - Agent 4 shouted.

"We are friends and we should do more stuff together than just patrolling!"

And that's how she made the blog and forced asked Agent 3 and Agent 8 to join in on the fun.

Four's first return from an Octoling mission could have gone better. And despite Marie's prior warnings, the young agent ended up quite hurt. After getting patched up, they share an exchange:

"On that day, Marie could only theorize what Four meant. Did she really not realize the weight of the work she's accepted? Or was she really not bothered at all by taking on this job? Crazy of all, perhaps Four did not feel all that threatened by the octoling soldiers, instead curious about them? Marie wished she could tell."

For a while now, I've been wanting to return to Splatoon art and thought:

"Hey! Marie day is coming up, what's a better way to get back into practice?"

So after rewatching a childhood cartoon of mine (an audio from which was used for this very animatic), I decided it was time to LOCK IN 👀

Callie may be the silly cousin, but let Marie indulge in some sillyness too; at least in her kid years, I beg,,, she deserves it 🙏🏼

Reminiscing on the 8th of April

As someone who no longer has my Wii U, I've decided to draw my version of Agent 3 as a tribute of sorts to salute the end of Splatoon 1. I will admit I could've done better with the background lineart, but I didn't wanna be late.

Man... To think I wasn't even interested in this franchise back when it started out. I remember being excited for the Wii U and frowning at the free game that came with it. But low and behold! After giving it a shot, all of these funny colorful squids now live in my head rent free (and I wouldn't change it for the world).

Other than that? I don't think I have anything else to add so I might as well keep the end on the simple side.

Thank you Splatoon, for being so fun, for introducing me to colorful characters, as well as now, years later, thank you for being the gateway for me to meet amazing new people. I love them all so much!

And of course,

Thank you for letting us enjoy this Festival of Life :D

We need to talk

This is very late in my timezone and I'm severely tired so I'll just get straight to the point.

The Lunch Squad is being cancelled.

I know, this will most likely come off as a shock to most of my followers. Heck, it was for me too. Unfortunately, deep down I knew it was inevitable.

I'm not asking for forgiveness I just wanted to truthfully convey my thoughts to you all.

Now please don't get me wrong, I still love this story. I love Korra, Quince and Xyril dearly. But I guess... Maybe their tale was never meant to be finished.

Although, I have this one last tribute video with my little guys, to at least give this blog some sense of finality.

Do I regret banning myself from looking at Side Order before finishing and posting this comic? Surprisingly, no!
