A portal opens. You don’t know where it goes. Do you jump in?

You don’t even hesitate. You jump right in. Of course you would. OF COURSE YOU WOULD!! You knew you were always going to jump in. You only needed the opportunity to present itself.
The first thing you see? Buildings and many bipedal life forms around you. You look down at your claws to find out they’re no longer claws at all. In fact, you have around 5 wiggly digits at the ends of your soft, flesh covered arms. You feel naked without your tough, armored shell.
You grab the nearest being to you and ask, “What planet is this?!!”
“It’s Earth! And get your hands off of me!”
You turn around to look at the portal you just stepped through. The last thing you see, before it vanishes, are the violet hues of your old world’s sky. You blink. Now all you see is blue and all you are is a human stuck on this side of the portal.
