LUO YUNXI as TANTAI JIN in episode 01 of Till The End Of The Moon 长月烬明 (2023)
LUO YUNXI for MiniBAZAAR October Issue.
“It's a pleasure to be loved and recognized by the audience, but I don't change my mind because of the change in attention.”
What's wrong? Did something happen? Nothing. It's just that the sight of the moon reminds me of my family. There was a lake as well. It's pure and cold in summer. I used to lay beside it and watch the star while fireflies lit the bushes. What's the name of the lake? Where is it? Somewhere far away. I'll show you when the chance comes..
happy birthday to him

if you’re a gifmaker, you need to read this
staff has announced that on may 15, they’re forcing everyone to switch to the new beta post editor. this is very, very bad for gifs. @saintalicent made a post detailing the difference between the old and new post editors, but basically the new post editor shoves gifs into a text post and slightly resizes them, lowering the quality of the gifs.
gifmakers are the backbone of this website, and staff needs to be reminded of this. if you’re a gifmaker, please send polite feedback to staff explaining that you don’t want the quality of your gifs to be reduced and that this will negatively affect your experience on this website.
we got them to back off on the gif to mp4 thing last year, and we need them to back off on this. please reblog for visibility.
The thing that personally pisses me off the most is that the @staff asked for feedback back in the beginning of 2021, and promised that the feedback we sent would be used to improve the new beta editor before it was made permanent. I still have the email I sent in March of 2021 and the response I got back. Most of my complaints had to do with tagging, specifically:
- no quick tag options; for those making original content this is an absolute must, since attracting traffic means tagging with popular tags for the content, but staying organized on your own blog usually requires an entirely different set of tags (this is what quick tag bundles are for) - no frequent tag memory; in other words, the old post editor remembers 10/10 of the content I regularly tag; the new post editor remembers only two - the new post editor also retains no memory of frequently used tags that use columns, hyphens, exclamation marks, or asterisks
The response I got was this:
These are a work in progress. We’ve been investing a lot of time to improve how tagging behaves in the new editor. We’ve improved it quite a lot, and I’m confident we’re going to improve tagging even more over time!
The beta editor is a work in progress. Every day we’re releasing new improvements and making sure that we get it as similar as possible with the legacy one (in terms of usage), but of course, a much-improved version of it.
We’ve been getting tons of positive feedback, but none of that would be possible if we didn’t gather (and act) on the feedback that we get from the community, just like this one.
As an aside, don’t worry, we’re not discontinuing the legacy editor before addressing as many issues as we can with the new, beta editor.
It has been two years since they’ve asked for this feedback, and the beta editor today is just as shitty as it was then, except that somehow gifs on the new beta editor look even worse now, than they did in 2021. Even the quality of plain images significantly decreases on the new post editor, so not only will the gifmakers affected, but also photographers, editors, and artists.
I don’t think @staff understands that once you get rid of 90% of visual content creators (and yes, in this case we are content creators because content is what provides this site nearly all of its traffic; content is its freaking reason for existence) all you have left is another Blogger by Google; a blogging platform on its inevitable slide obsolescence.
