The problem with liking aftg an insane amount is that the first time you read the books Andrew in the end can be seen has a hard guy with some soft spots, but then you read the extra content, and all the insanely well written character analysis, and then you read it again, and again, and again, you see the heartbreaking reality that Andrew is an extremely soft man who had to act hard to survive.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but there’s no deadline for the things you do in life outside of societal expectation. it may feel like there is, but there really isn’t. there’s no set time frame to finish anything. you don’t have to have x, y, or z accomplished by a certain time. there is no countdown. you can graduate high school a year later than you intended. you don’t have to be done with college by 22. you don’t have to buy a house by 26. you don’t have to achieve all your goals before you’re 30. you don’t have to get married just because everyone else is. you don’t have to have children before you’re ready. you can wait. you can try again later. you can finish some other time. and it’s okay if you do: everyone has different timelines, different paths. what is right for someone else may not be right for you. just because someone else did something by whatever age, doesn’t mean you are a failure if you don’t. just because you don’t meet a milestone when you think you’re supposed to, doesn’t mean you never will. there’s not an expiration date. be patient with yourself, give yourself some grace. slow down.
