Our friendship started a long, long time ago in a backwoods Oregon town far, far away... Having gone through countless ups and downs, we’ve remained Lurve buddies (If you have no idea where the word ‘Lurve’ comes from, either go read Louise Rennison’s Confessions of Georgia Nicolson books, or watch the Woody Allen film “Annie Hall.” You’re welcome.). We’ve survived horrible childhood atrocities, such as Lurve2’s grandmother blowing up a picture of us together and putting it on a shirt that read “Best Friends Forever” (God, that shirt). However, as "grownups," sometimes we wish for those simpler days of silliness that didn’t involve wrangling children (really, there’s only one child, but it’s right to use this in the plural sense), or working crap jobs with bitchy people. Seriously though, being a grownup sucks big monkey balls some days. So, here we are, trying to share our hilarity within the blogosphere. Welcome to our world of random (sexy-ish) texts, hilarious antics, and overall fun-loving (although sometimes complaining) attitudes. That moment when you stumble across your name on Urban Dictionary and you aren't sure whether to be grossly horrified at how a stranger has decided to define your name, or complimented by the fact that you are known to always satisfy. And I already knew I was an animal in bed, as for the rest, that's debatable...or just completely untrue. Haha @urbandictionary
I know I'm wacky and haven't shared anything of interest in FOREVER, but here's an olive branch. And by "olive branch", I clearly mean an entry link to win free lingerie for a year! Just follow the link to get started, and don't say I never get you anything nice, kid. Seriously, who doesn't like free undies?! #scoreadoreme #lingerie #adoreme #undies #knickers #nunganungaholders @adoreme
That awkward moment when you know a co-worker is desperately trying to hook you up with her brother by inviting you to their D&D night.
(And has asked questions including: "Are you a heterosexual?" and "What do you like in a guy?")
...or followers, whatever, you're not followers. Pssh, no, no, you will be my Lurve Minions, and I will treat you with the respect that my world domination plan will provide me the patience to give wholeheartedly.
Welcome to the Lurve Duo blog! I will hereafter go by the name of Lurve1 (not because I'm more important than my cohort, known as Lurve2, I just so happened to be the one with the brilliant idea to start this). She will eventually introduce herself when her busy schedule allows. In the meantime, I hope that our posts entertain (if not, just go the fuck away. Cause I don't want to hear the garbage that spills out of your trolling mouth.) and delight you in a multitude of ways!
Again, welcome and enjoy!
