I love it and need more of them asap. I honestly don’t know why I never thought to draw them before; maybe because I keep looking for more comics featuring them, but hopefully that will change and I’ll be given more recommendations!!

I also just love how the Batfam member and Super duo always seems to come together no matter the universe lol.

Helena is usually the default when either he or Selina are discussing potential girl names, but I wanted to incorporate that little name as well since it’s one I also really like…

i am pretty new to reading Batman comics and I just wanted to know why so many people are saying Bruce’s new gf won’t last??? Is she evil or sm…

First off, welcome!

If you’re talking about Annika Zeller in Matt Fractions current series, I’ll keep it nice and short since I’ve already gone into depth about both her and the other failed civilian relationships that came before her.

To start, her and Bruce aren’t even together at the moment if I’m remembering right. If they were to get together, the likely hood of her sticking around really boils down to two things that are working against her HARD: marketing and Batcat (which to be fair, the two go hand in hand).

Bruce and Selina are one of the most iconic DC couples and they were practically created together in the 1940’s, which makes them extremely likable and easy to market to both comic book fans and the general public. They may not be a couple that stays together all the time, which is arguably what allows for these civilian relationships to happen in the first place, but they’re also one of the rare exceptions where even if they aren’t together at the moment, you can practically guarantee they’ll be together again in the next run or the one after.

I’m not saying that she couldn’t last, I’m just saying that it’s not really wise to automatically assume that she’ll become a character thats as relevant as Selina or Talia when looking at past relationships.

Also, the fact that she and the relationship itself isn’t even entirely flushed out makes it very hard for me to get attached at the moment 😅. We’ll see what happens, but as much as her die hard fans hate to hear this, I doubt we’ll see much of her relationship wise once Matt Fractions era has passed.
