People who are oppressed and traumatized die several deaths and are reborn multiple times. Mickey 17 is Mickey Barnes' greatest desire to live. Mickey 18 is Mickey Barnes' deep rage and violence; his reaction to being continuously ground under the boot of the higher class. No one can be expendible, because none of us are made to be expendible, yet some lives are treated as expendible. Some lives have less value than the upper class' "taste". 18, in the end, regains power through self-sacrifice—this is the extent of what he can do to free 17, his purest, most child-like desire to live. The traumatized fight back eventually; 17 channels 18 when he dreams of the wife printing herself and her husband, when he sees the bowl of blood (where did it come from? Who did she kill?) and this is his nightmare because he feels like his new found freedom is once again at risk; that he once again needs to be brutalized by tragedy. But he knows he has to resist and he finds strength in 18. "Fuck off". This movie has such heart and is a tribute to those of us who are crushed by the ones above them with more money; more power. Robert's portrayal of 17 is beautiful and personifies the best of humanity. It's just so well made and earnest and I'm so disappointed that so many of the reviews seem to have completely missed the point, instead failing to find satisfaction in some superficial perception of what makes a movie artsy.

Mickey 17 was sooooo good. I really liked Mickey 18's view of 17 especially. the concept of seeing a representation of yourself outside of you and being so disgusted by yourself that you shout at it and belittle it... feeling like you're having a constant mirror held to the most pathetic, snivelling parts of you. hating that version of yourself and wanting it dead and wanting it gone, but then seeing your partner still love that version of you, too. and how could you want to kill something that your partner loves?

Can be said to both of them cause Mickey 17 views Mickey 18 as a complete psycho, insane and a freak and yet Nasha still love him, both of them and she cried when he died :(

I’ve been pirating stuff a couple years and I want to give some advice in case someone hasn’t done it before

-The piracy subreddit (reddit.com/r/piracy) is a great place to start, there’s a guide there that can give you links to everything you would want (streaming sites,torrenting sites,where to get roms,what torrenting programs to use ect.)

- if your streaming ALWAYS USE A AD BLOCKER (and cookie clearer if you want extra protection) piracy sites 99% of the time are full of ads and pop-ups. If you don’t want to a bunch of local milfs in your area ads covering your screen use a ad blocker. Any ad blocker will work but I’m currently using ublock origin + privacy badger

-if your torrenting ALWAYS USE A VPN.if you don’t use a VPN your isp could try to shut off your internet if you get caught pirating or you could be fined if you live in certain countries, also its generally safer. a free vpn is better then nothing but its still not good because they either dont support torrenting or collect your data and sell it. if you have/want to use a free vpn i would recommend using proton vpn because its doesnt log info. if you have a couple extra dollars mullvad is a good vpn for $5-6

- this is mentioned in the megathread on r/piracy but I’ll mention it here just to make sure. try to avoid using pirate bay,it’s full of malware and viruses. Also don’t use utorrent (when you install it it also installs a bitcoin miner), (quick edit: it doesnt have a bitcoin miner in it anymore, they removed it in 2018. still seems pretty shady so i wouldnt recommend it) I would recommend using qbittorrent instead.
