sick days — nishimura riki
pairing : bf!ni-ki x fem!reader | synopsis : taking care of your boyfriend ni-ki while he’s sick | genre : fluff, dramatic ni-ki | wc : 733 | an : my first request!! i hope you like this, sorry it took a bit i’ve been studying for my finals that are soon sigh | 💌 |
“Babe i’ll be fine,” Ni-ki says with a smug smirk. “We’ll only be outside for like ten minutes, I don’t think i’ll get sick.”
“But Riki it’s freezing out there, you’re gonna regret it.”
Those ten minutes quickly turned into thirty when the two of you spotted a cat.
The morning after, Ni-ki immediately regretted not wearing a jacket.
But he would never admit that to you.
He woke up with a pounding headache, a sore throat that would burn whenever he swallowed. His nose was stuffed, and his body ached.
Still, he dragged himself out of bed. Making his way to the kitchen where he knew he would find you.
The smell of coffee filled the apartment, and the sound of your phone playing a random tiktok echoed throughout the kitchen.
Ni-ki paused at the doorway. His hair was a mess, his eyes looked as if he didn’t sleep for days, and his oversized hoodie hung off his frame. He looked and felt terrible.
“Morning, love.” he rasped out before coughing harshly.
Your head snapped up from your phone, wide eyes staring at him.
“Babe, no offense, but you look terrible.”
Ni-ki’s eyebrows furrowed. “I do not.”
“You absolutely do.”
He rolled his eyes, thinking you were just being dramatic.
Before you could say anything else, he shuffled across the kitchen and wrapped his arms around your waist, burying his face into your neck.
“M’ fine.” he grumbled out.
“C’mon baby, let’s get you back to bed.” you said softly, starting to get out of his embrace.
His hold on your waist tightens immediately once he feels you try to slip out. “I’ll be okay, let’s just stay like this for a bit.”
You lift your hand and put it in his hair to softly stroke it, feeling his body relax. “You’ll be more comfortable in bed Riki, you don’t have to let go of me either, just walk with me babe.”
Ni-ki let out a quiet groan, but loosened his grip enough to let you get up from the chair.
He refused to let go completely, he kept one arm wrapped around your waist as the two of you slowly made your way back to the room. He leaned more of his weight against you, clearly exhausted.
“I’ll be right back, i’m just gonna grab some medicine quickly.” you said as you pulled the blanket over his body.
His eyes snapped open, grabbing your hand before you got too far. “Wait, I want a kiss.” he said, starting to lean in. You leaned back a bit, not wanting to get sick from him, “Riki, you’re sick. I can’t kiss you right now.”
Ni-ki’s face immediately dropped. “What do you mean no.” he asked, genuinely offended.
“If you get me sick I won’t be able to take care of you!”
He frowned and tightened his grip on your hand. “It’s just one kiss!”
“You always say that and it leds to another kiss and then another kiss. It’s never just one kiss with you babe.” you stated while giggling a bit, “Now, let me get you some medicine and food so you can rest a bit.”
He groaned dramatically, letting his head fall back against the pillows. “You’re being cruel.”
You came back a couple minutes later with water, medicine, and a bit of food so he didn’t take the pills on an empty stomach.
The second Ni-ki saw you come back, some of the grumpiness left his face. “Why’d you take so long.”
“I barely took ten minutes. Eat some food and then take the medicine.”
“If I take the medicine will you kiss me?”
“Maybe.”
“Oh then i’m not taking it if it’s not a yes.”
You clearly forgot how dramatic and sassy he could get when he was sick or upset. “Fine then, i’ll give you a kiss if you take the medicine. I just need you to get better baby.” you replied, moving his hair from his face while he leaned into your hand.
He quickly ate and took the medicine, turning to you once he finished. “I want my kiss now.”
You leaned in, kissing him gently but still for a couple of seconds or else he would sulk if it was to short.
“I love you.” he said, starting to doze off.
You kissed his forehead one more time before responding, “I love you too, Riki.”

“Eomma!” you hear from the door.
You feel Jake shift lightly next to you. Your eyes start to slightly open, the sunlight blinding you for a moment. “Eomma, wake up!” your son says, now being in the room and shaking you to get up.
You groan and sit up, stretching lightly while Jaehyun, your five year old climbs up on your bed.
Jake slowly starts to get up too, hearing your son repeating “Eomma”.
“What happened Jaehyun-ah?” you ask, your voice raspy from sleep. “I’m cold.” he says, lifting the blanket up a bit and pushing Jake.
Jake lets out a dramatic gasp, still half asleep. “Yah, why am I getting kicked in my own bed this early?”
Jaehyun ignores him completely, crawling straight into your lap and wrapping his tiny arms around you. “Appa, move.”
You can’t help but giggle a bit while Jake stares at his son in betrayal. His messy hair falls into his eyes as he rubs his tired eyes. “You only love eomma these days.”
Jaehyun nods. “Eommas warm, you’re not.”
“Okay now that’s actually rude,” Jake mutters.
You smile, pulling the warm blanket over Jaehyuns shoulders. He instantly melts against you, his cheek pressing into your chest while his small hands cling to your shirt.
Jake watches the two of you for a second before scooting closer, wrapping on arm around your waist and the other around Jaehyun. “We can group cuddle then so your eomma can keep us both warm.”
“No squishing, appa.” Jaehyun warns.
Jake pokes his son’s cheek. “You’re bossy for someone who came in here at seven in the morning.”
Jaehyun hides his face into you more. “I had a bad dream.”
The teasing in Jakes expression softens immediately. “Oh,” he brushes Jaehyuns hair back. “Why didn’t you say that at first?”
“There was a monster,” he mumbles. “A big one.”
Jake gasps dramatically again. “A monster?! And appa wasn’t there to fight it?”
“Appa you lost.”
You burst into laughter while Jake clutches his chest. “Wow. Babe, are you hearing this. My own son thinks I’d lose.”
“You cried,” Jaehyun states.
“That’s a lie.” Jake says, looking even more offended.
Jaehyun finally giggles, the sleepy clinginess fading into a better mood. Jakes smile getting wider at the sound of hearing his son laugh.
After a few more minutes of being tangled together, Jaehyun lifts his head, his chin resting on your chest, “I’m hungry.”
“Want me to get up and make pancakes?” you ask, raising your hand to move his hair from his face.
Jaehyun nods, while Jake groans at the thought of getting up.
“Why can’t we just stay asleep? It’s way too early.”

kim sunoo
You couldn’t control it anymore. You loved squishing Sunoos cheeks.
You did it out of nowhere. No warnings. Just grab and squish. The first time you did it, Sunoo gasped dramatically, “Yah! my face!”
But he never pulled away. Not really.
“Why are you like this babe?” he asks, trying to sound annoyed while you’re still holding his cheeks. “They’re soft, and your face looks cute!” you say simply, squishing them again.
He huffs, but never does anything to stop you.
Eventually, he starts leaning into it.
He sees you raise your hands slightly, and tilts his head towards you. “See! you do like it,” you laugh. “If it makes you happy, then it makes me happy.” he says, smiling.
yang jungwon
You randomly hold his hand…but in a weird way. It wasn’t normal hand-holding, sometimes it would be just one finger, or his sleeve, or the edge of his hoodie.
Jungwon notices quickly, “Jagi, why are you just holding…my pinky?” You shrug, “It’s enough.”
He finds it funny at first, but also kind of endearing.
While walking together, instead of grabbing his hand, you lightly hook onto his sleeve. He looks down, and pauses.
“…That’s it?” he asks. You gave a slight nod while looking up at him. He gently takes your hand properly, intertwining your fingers and starts walking again. “Upgrade,” he says.
But a few minutes later, he notices you’ve moved to holding his pinky. He smiles to himself, “Okay, that’s fine too!” while leaning down and giving your forehead a quick kiss.
nishimura riki
You randomly laugh. Not at jokes, not at anything. Just…out of nowhere. The first time it happens, Ni-ki is rambling about practice and a new move he tried out—and suddenly you start giggling.
He stops mid-sentence, “…What?”
You’re still laughing, trying to calm down but you can’t. “Nothing.” you manage to say in between giggles. He stares at you, concerned but slightly smiling. “There’s no way it’s nothing, you just started laughing like a maniac.”
“Ay don’t call me a maniac.” you say, offended while shaking your head, covering your mouth. “I just remembered something.”
“What was it?”
“…I forgot.”
He blinks, and stares blankly at you, “You’re laughing at something you don’t even remember?”
“Yes.”
After that, it just keeps happening.
You’ll be sitting quietly, just on your phone—then suddenly, “pfft—“
Ni-ki immediately looks at you, surprised, “Babe, again?” You’re already laughing harder, leaning into him without thinking.
He still gets confused, but eventually starts waiting for it.
One day, you’re both cuddling in comfortable silence after a hard day. He sneaks glances at you, waiting for the random cackle from you. “It’s been too quiet…” he says, suspiciously.
You look up, an eyebrow raised in confusion, “What?”
“You’ve been too quiet, you haven’t laughed in like 15 minutes.” You roll your eyes. “That’s not a thing, you’re being dramatic.”
A few seconds later—you snort softly and start laughing again. He snaps up and points at you. “SEE, I KNEW IT.” You hid your face embarrassed. “Stop!”
But he’s already laughing too, louder than you now.

lee heeseung
Heeseung didn’t know why, but at the most random times, you would bite him.
Not hard, just out of nowhere.
His arms, shoulders, and sometimes even his hands if they were close enough. The first time it happened, he froze mid-sentence. “Babe…did you just bite me?”
“Yeah.” You said, having no shame in biting him.
He just stared at you, confused and trying to figure out whether or not this was normal. “Okay…” he said, not knowing what else to say.
After that, it just kept happening.
Watching a movie? Bite. Watching him play games with Jake and Ni-ki? Bite. Cuddling? Oh yeah you were biting those arms.
One night, while you were watching a show on the couch, he caught you before you could bite him again, grabbing your wrist gently. “Wait,” he said, trying to hold back his laugh after seeing your offended expression, “atleast give me a warning babe.”
You leaned closer, your smile growing wider, and your eyes mischievous. “Warning.”
And then bit his arm again.
He sighed, smiling in defeat, but with a warm look in his eyes. “Nothings gonna stop you, huh?”
“Nope!”
park jongseong
He’s not sure when it started, but you constantly poked him.
His shoulder, cheek, side, nothing was safe from you.
At first, Jay tried ignoring it.
You’re sitting on the counter while he’s cooking, and out of nowhere—poke.
He just kept stirring.
Poke.
He exhaled slowly and ignored it again.
Poke.
“Do you need something, my love?” He finally asks, putting down the spoon and raising an eyebrow.
You smiled sweetly before saying, “No!”
But before you could poke him again, he grabbed your finger mid-air, “Why do you keep poking me?”
You shrug, “You’re just…pokeable.”
He lets go, shaking his head, but there’s a small smile he can’t hide.
Later at night, you’re focused on your phone when suddenly—poke.
You gasp, “Yah!”
Jay smirks, completely unbothered and proud. “I guess you’re pokeable too.”
sim jaeyun
One second, you’re walking normally, the next, you’ve latched onto his arm, his back, wherever you can reach. With no warning.
Jake nearly fell the first time. “Whoa—!” he laughs, steadying both of you. “Why’d you do that?”
“I wanted a hug,” you say like it’s obvious.
“Okay yeah, but you jumped me.”
You just tightened your grip.
He quickly got used to it though. He started expecting it.
But when you don’t cling to him, he notices immediately.
As you’re walking beside him like a normal person, no sudden hugs or grabbing. Jake glances down at you. After a couple of minutes of this, he blurts out. “Are you mad at me? Or do you hate me?”
You snap your head at him, dumbfounded for a moment. “What? No.”
“…Then why aren’t you holding onto me?”
You laugh, but before you can respond, he pulls your arm around his anyway. “I don’t like it, it feels weird without it,” he admits softly.
park sunghoon
You like fixing his hair.
Not just when it’s messy, but all the time.
He’s just sitting next to you, scrolling on his phone, when you suddenly reach over and start adjusting the front strands.
He pauses. “…What are you doing?”
“Your hair’s messed up,”
He blinks. “Babe, it was fine.”
You shake your head and keep fixing his hair, smoothing it down and gently moving the front strands away from his face like it was the most important task in the world.
“…Okay,” he mutters, letting you.
After that day, it just became a habit.
Every time you’re close enough, your hands find their way to his hair. Fluffing, adjusting—even when nothing needs fixing.
At first, he sighs a little, pretending to be annoyed. “Is this just an excuse to touch my hair?”

pairing : bf!changbin x fem!reader | synopsis : your boyfriend, changbin loves making you shy and flustered by complimenting you any chance he gets | genre : fluff, established relationship | wc : 456 | 💌 |
Changbin makes it his personal mission to see how red he can make you in a single day.
You could be doing something completely normal—scrolling on your phone, concentrating on a game, finding your new outfit for tomorrow—and he’ll just lean on his his hand, staring at you like you’re the most fascinating person in the world.
“What?” you ask after you catch him staring.
He smirks.
“Nothing, i’m just thinking about how cute you are when you’re focused. Your eyebrows do this cute little scrunch thing.”
You immediately lose all focus on whatever task you were doing.
“Binnie,” you groan, trying—failing—to hide your flustered face behind your phone. “Stop staring at me like that, you’re weird.”
“Yah! how am I weird?” he asks, offended but joking. “A man can’t compliment his beautiful girlfriend?”
You pause at that. “That’s not—you can’t just say it like that!” you stutter out.
He sits up straighter on the couch, dramatically placing a hand over his chest. “Like what? i’m just saying facts my love.”
You groan louder now, sliding down further into the couch. “Ugh, you’re impossible.”
“And you’re gorgeous.” He says. No teasing in his voice. Just simple and certain.
That makes it worse.
You risk a glance at him, only to find him already watching you with that soft, fond expression he gets when he thinks you’re not looking.
“See?” he says, pointing at your face. “You’re blushing again, I didn’t even do anything big.”
“You just called me gorgeous!”
“Yea, and?” he grins. “I’m not lying.”
You grab the nearest pillow and throw at him. He catches it easily while laughing.
“I’m serious,” he continues, slowly scooting closer to you until your knees were touching. “You don’t understand how pretty you are when you get all flustered. Your eyes get all shiny and you start talking faster and—”
“Stop describing it!” you whine, stopping him from continuing and covering your face with both hands after dropping your phone.
He gently grabs your wrist, and tugs your hands down just enough so he can see you.
“Don’t hide,” he says softly. “I like seeing you.”
Your heart flips at that.
For a moment he just looks at you—no jokes, no dramatic reactions. Just steady, calm admiration.
Slowly, the corner of his mouth lifts again.
“Mm, thats the sixth time today.”
Your jaw drops, “Yah! you’re counting?!”
“Of course I am, it’s my mission.”
You turn your body away from him, trying to act annoyed, but he notices the tiny smile you can’t suppress.
He wraps his arms around your waist, putting his face in your neck, his voice dropping to a playful murmur.
“Don’t worry. You can be annoyed all you want, I have all day.”

Ni-ki noticed it before you did.
The way your phone lit up a little too often.
The way you would tilt the screen away without meaning to.
The way you would pause—smiling fading—before returning when you would look back at up at him.
At first he didn’t question anything. Ni-ki wasn’t the type to jump to conclusion, but he did overthink a bit when he felt something was off. And recently, something definitely felt off.
In the practice room during his break, you were sitting next to him on the floor, legs tucked under you, and leaning on his shoulder while he was scrolling on his phone. It was quiet and comfortable—until your phone buzzed.
You stiffened.
You glanced at the screen, your expression unreadable, then turned your phone off and placed it back down on the floor.
Ni-ki’s jaw tightened.
“Who was it?” he asked casually, acting as if it didn’t bother him.
You blinked. “Hm? Oh, just someone from before. Not important though.”
The words ‘from before’ echoed in his head for the rest of the night.
Over the next few days, Ni-ki changed without meaning to.
He still sent you good morning texts.
Still walked you home.
Still held your hand.
But something was missing.
He didn’t tease you as much.
He didn’t pounce on you the moment you would visit him at practice.
Didn’t pull you into his chest when you would laugh.
You noticed his distance. And it hurt.
“Did I do something wrong?” you asked one evening, stopping him from practicing.
Ni-ki froze at your words.
“..No,” he said after a couple of seconds. “Why?”
“You’ve been distant Ki,” you said softly. “You don’t talk or hold me like you used to.”
He looked down for a moment, fingers fidgeting with his sweatpants. “I’ve just been tired recently. Thats all.”
You studied him, unconvinced, but reluctantly nodded. “..Okay.”
But the distance stayed.
It all clicked in your head when your ex texted you again. This time Ni-ki was right next to you.
Your phone buzzed on the table between you.
Ex (dni)
Hey, I miss you. can we talk?
Ni-ki didn’t mean to look. But his eyes flicked down before he could stop himself.
Something inside him cracked.
“So,” he quietly said, moving uncomfortably in his seat. “It’s them.”
You looked at your screen, then back up at him. “Ni-ki—“
“I knew it,” he cut in, voice tight. “You said it was nothing.”
“It is nothing,” you said quickly, turning your whole body to him. “He just keeps texting.”
“And you keep reading them,” he shot back.
The silence between you two was heavy and tense.
Ni-ki ran a hand through his hair, frustration and hurt on his face. “Be honest with me,” he started, “Do you still have feelings for him? Because if you do, then just say it and leave me. I don’t want to be someone you’re with because it’s comfortable.”
Your chest ached at the way his voice wavered at the end.
“Is that what you think?” you asked.
He didn’t answer. The silence was enough of an answer for you.
You got up, walking up to him and forcing him to look at you.
You picked up your phone, handing it to him. “I haven’t replied to him,” you said firmly. “Not once.”
Ni-ki’s eyes turned to your phone.
“I don’t care about him,” you continued, your voice softer now. “I didn’t want them to come back into my life. I’m happy and comfortable with you.”
“Then why didn’t you tell me?” he asked.
You swallowed. “Because I didn’t want you to feel like this.”
“Too late.” he said, laughing bitterly.
You reached for his hands, and after a moment, he let you.
“I choose you,” you said softly, “not him. You.”
Ni-ki gripped your hands tighter.
“You’re the one I find comfort in, the one I run too when everything is overwhelming,” you went on. “The first person I go to when I get exciting news is you. I feel safe everyday with you. You’re the one I see myself having a future with, not him.”
His shoulders sagged, tension finally leaving him.
“I was scared,” he admitted quietly, “I was scared you would realize you didn’t need me anymore.”
You felt your heart clench.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, sitting on his lap. “Ni-ki, I don’t ever want you to feel that way. I’m always going to need you.”
He exhaled shakily, wrapping his arms around your waist, holding you as if he was afraid you would leave and never return.
“Promise me.” He murmured, nuzzling his head into your neck.
“That I only want you and wont ever leave?” you asked.
He nodded.
You smiled and pulled back just enough to look at him. “I promise.” you said, and leaned to press a kiss on his forehead.
You then grabbed your phone, unlocked it, went to the messages—and blocked your ex.
Ni-ki watched you the whole time.
“You didn’t have to do that,” he said.
“I wanted to,” you replied. “Because I don’t want there to be any doubt.”
His lips curved into a small, but relieved smile. The kind that you hadn’t seen in a while.
“I love you.” he said, pulling you even closer.
“I love you too Ki, never forget that.” you said, cuddling into him.
Both of you finally feeling relaxed and comfortable again.

Sunghoon loved to tease and flirt with you.
You never understood why, he was a huge jerk to everyone but with you he never hurt or did anything to you. Obviously you liked that he didn’t bully you, but it was annoying.
It was annoying mostly because Sunghoon is very handsome. Many girls threw themselves onto him—why did he want you? These girls did everything to ruin your life, at first it started with just them talking a whole bunch of shit but then it got worse.
They started to get physical.
After school they would grab you by the backpack and drag you into an alley where no one really walked past.
You got used to it though. You covered any face bruises with makeup and high socks to cover any leg bruises.
You thought that was the worst they could do. But this was something way worse than any punches and kicks could be.
Edited photos of you were put up on the schools expose website. You and some random guys you had never even seen or met in your entire life, sleeping in a bed with your bare shoulders peeking out under the covers.
This was insane, but not surprisingly many people believed it and called you the school’s whore. In class people would move their desks further away when you would walk in. Girls in the bathroom wrote on the stalls about how you were a whore and you were easy. Boys would whistle and yell about how they wanted a chance.
It was like hell going to school.
But what you didn’t know was that there was one group who didn’t believe the nasty rumors about you.
Heeseung, Jay, and Jake.
From the moment they saw the post, they called bullshit. Out of everyone, they were the only ones who didn’t believe it.
“Yah, we know that y/n would never even imagine doing that shit.” An angry Jay exclaimed when he saw the post. “She doesn’t even let Sunghoon or any guy talk to her, why would she randomly sleep with three assholes.” Jake says while playing some game on his phone.
“Well then, we better find out who did this before Sunghoon finds out.” Heeseung sighs, “if he finds out what they’re saying about her, he’ll go batshit crazy.”
“Why would I go crazy?” Sunghoon says, appearing out of nowhere.
“Oh shi-“ Heeseung yells while slightly flinching. “Oh what’s up Sunghoon, how’s your day hm?” Jay asks trying to avoid being suspicious.
“Don’t even try it, now tell me why I would go crazy.” Sunghoon asks again.
“Listen man, you gotta promise to not flip once I show you this.” Jake says with his phone going to the post. Sunghoons patience was growing thin, “Just show me whatever it is.”
The moment he sees the photos, he feels anger in him. “What is this?” he says, slamming the phone down “Listen man, we have no clue who it is. This was posted yesterday.” Jay says trying to calm him down.
Sunghoon wasn’t going to let anything happen to you, even if he had to do stupid decisions.
The next day at school was probably the worst day.
You walked into class, and the whispers immediately started.
You walked straight to your desk, avoiding all the eyes that were staring deep at you.
The bell rang and the teacher walked in, you tried to pay attention and read your notebook, but the words on the page were blurry. All you could think about was the images, the rumors, just everything that made you feel trapped.
Then you heard a book hitting the desk next to you—it used to be empty since nobody wanted to sit next you. You were surprised to see Jake. It seemed like everyone else was aswell as they stared in shock as he sat next to you.
He leans close to your ear and whispers, “Meet me at the basketball court during lunch, trust me.” and then opened his notebook aswell.
You didn’t have any problems with Jake, if anything he was the nicest out of his friend group. You didn’t trust him exactly, but still went to meet him during lunch.
But when you got there, it wasn’t Jake who was there.
It was Sunghoon.
He stood there with his hands in his pockets, jaw tight. The basketball court was empty except for the two of you.
You froze.
For a moment you thought about walking away. Not wanting anyone to see you both together. But Sunghoon spoke before you could move.
“Y/n,” he said with a soft tone, no smirk or teasing tone. “can we talk?”
“About what?” you asked, eyes fixed on the ground “are you also gonna tell me how im a slut? because if you are then I don’t care.”
“What? no.” he said slightly sounding offended, “I don’t believe any of that shit.”
You finally looked back up at him, surprise in your eyes. There was no mockery in his eyes. He looked angry—not at you—with slight guilt in his eyes.
“Me, Jake, Jay, and Heeseung don’t believe that post for shit, we know its all lies.”
“Then what do you want?” you asked with a quiet tone, “it doesn’t matter anymore—everyones seen it and believed it.”
“Not me though.” he said cutting you off, “I want to help you. I want to get rid of these dumb rumors before you get hurt.”
You scoffed at that, “Before I get hurt? Sunghoon, I’m already hurt.”you felt tears starting to build up, “Do you not see how i’m getting pushed away by friends? How i’m getting beat up everyday now?” you asked frustrated.
He paused at that last question, “What.” he asked, jaw tightening. “What do you mean getting beat up? by who?”
“Why do you even care? Even if I tell you, it won’t matter.” you said.
“It does matter, y/n.” he says, “I don’t think you can tell but I truly care about you. To you might just be teasing, but I truly like you.” he adds while getting closer to you.
He stopped a step away from you, close enough that you could hear his breathing—but he didn’t touch you.
Your hand were now shaking. You hated that he could see that.
“It’s some girls,” you finally said, “Some from the cheer team. Others I don’t even know. They always wait until no ones around.”
Sunghoon went still. His jaw clenched, hard.
“They jump you?” he asked.
You nodded once, barely noticeable.
He looked down, dragging a hand down his face like he was trying to keep himself together. After a moment he turns to you.
“Okay.” he said, “Heres what going to happen. You’re not dealing with this alone anymore.”
You shook your head immediately. “No, Sunghoon, I don’t want you fighting anyone or making it worse—“
“I’m not.” he interrupted, calm but serious. “Heeseung already talked to the principal this morning about the post. Jake has all the screenshot. Jay’s cousin works for the school board—we’re reporting everything. The photos, the harasment. the physical stuff. Everything.”
You stared at him in shock, “You… already told them?”
“Yes.” he said. “I’m not letting you deal with this or anything else alone, I will be here for everything you need.”
Your chest tightened, not with fear, but with relief.
Without even thinking you threw yourself onto him, hugging him like he was your only safe space.
“Until this is handled,” he continued while holding you, “you won’t walk alone anymore. One of us three will be with you. If anyone says or does anything—you tell me.”
“You really think they’ll listen?” you asked, laughing weakly.
Sunghoon grabs your chin and makes you meet his eyes, “I don’t care if they listen. I only care that you’re safe.”
The bell rings before you could answer him.
When you walked back in with him, the stares came back immediately—but this time you weren’t alone. Sunghoon stayed with you the whole walk to class. Jake stayed too when he caught up with you guys. Jay wasn’t afraid to yell “Mind your business” at someone. And Heeseung walked with you to your last class when Sunghoon couldn’t.
Things didn’t change overnight.
But the posts were taken down. The principal and teachers started asking questions. The alley stayed empty.
And for the first time in a long while, you didn’t feel alone. You had Sunghoon now, and alone was something he never dreamed about making you feel.

“You aren’t listening!” you yelled at him, tears slowly building up from frustration. “I’m tired of being the only being there for her.”
“You don’t think im trying!” he yells back, “I want to be here with her but I’m working my ass off to make sure she lives with no struggles!” he replies.
“That’s the problem! you only work and work.” wiping your now flowing tears, “She needs you, we both need you, but your never here.”
“Do you know how hard it is to explain to her why her dad can’t be at award ceremonies, why he can’t take her to school or pick her up?” you ask, being more angry than upset.
That was the last argument you and I.n had before divorcing.
“Appa look!” his sweet girl says, breaking him out of the memory. He looks up to see her holding up a drawing of him and her with the sky in the back. “It’s beautiful sweetheart, i’ll put it on the fridge to show it off.” grabbing the drawing in one hand and the other holding her hand, they got up and walked to her room to pack up her bag to go back to yours.
“Are you sure you haven’t forgotten anything?” he asks making sure they packed everything, “Yes appa! don’t worry.” she replies while cuddling to his arm, not wanting to leave.
He sighs, staring at his little girl.
He loves any moment with her, but recently he started noticing just how much she is starting to look like you.
It hasn’t been easy for him, he never wanted to lose you or her. The day you moved out completely with her, was the day he lost himself.
He snaps out of his thoughts at the sound of a honk—you were here.
“Appa get up! mommy’s here” Nari says, jumping up from excitement. “Lets go then sweetie.”
You look out from your window to see them both coming, your daughter had a big smile while bouncing up and down from excitement, I.n though looked nervous.
You got nervous seeing him, but didn’t show it like he was.
“Mommy!” Nari yells, letting go of her appas hand to run to the car. “I missed you.” she says while slowing down from the run. “I missed you too baby, come on get in the car.”
I.n reaches the car after a minute with her bag, “Here’s her bag and other stuff of hers.” he says quietly while putting the bag next to her, “Thanks, we’ll see you next week.” you told him before driving off.
He stares at the car leaving, sighing with regret and hurt. All he wants is you and her back, to be a family.
At work, Chan notices his upset mood.
“Hey,” Chan starts while turning his chair to the couch, “you seem upset, what’s wrong?”
I.n sighs and looks at Chan, “Hyung, I really miss her.” he says trying not to tear up. “Who? Nari? Didn’t you see her yesterday?” he asks confused. “No, not Nari. Y/n.”
Chan stares at him with understanding, he was there when I.n told him that you guys were divorcing, and when he broke down when you left.
“Why was I such an idiot, how did I lose such an amazing women. Shes been with me through everything and I just messed everything up.” I.n says, finally being able to say it to someone without being scared.
“Listen I.n, you might’ve been an idiot at first. But i’ve seen how much you’re trying to be there for Nari. Now show y/n how much you’ve changed, and maybe—maybe, she’ll give you another chance.” Chan says, trying to help I.n.
The next week during pick up, he doesn’t honk or call, he gets out of his car and rings your doorbell. He had one thing on his mind—fix everything.
Opening the door, you didn’t expect to see him. “Oh! Jeongin, did you call or text? I don’t think I saw anything.” you ask, confused and a bit nervous.
He ignores the pain of hearing you say his name and not the cute nicknames you would call him. “Um, no I didn’t. I actually wanted to talk to you.” he sees the surprise in your eyes when he finishes.
“Are you sure?” you say while already letting him in, “Im sure.” he replies with no hesitation.
Nari spots him immediately and runs up to him, “Appa! you’re here!” she says excitedly, Jeongin kneels down to her level and hugs her. “Hi baby, I need to talk to your mom really quick, is that alright?” she nods quickly and goes back to the living room to watch her cartoons.
“So… what did you want to talk about?”
“Y/n, i’m just going to say it.” he starts while taking a deep breath, “I miss you. I know I messed everything up by never being by your side or Nari’s. It keeps me up at night knowing I let her down, and I especially let you down. I never wanted to lose you, you were my best friend and wife. I want you back, I will do anything to get you back into my life completely. I’ll drop her off at school and pick her up, go to any award ceremonies, go to every one of her plays. I just need you both.” he says with tears now flowing down.
You look at him with tears in your eyes and pull him in a hug, now sobbing in his shoulders while he holds you.
“I will do anything to get you back—I promise.”
Separating from each other, you finally talk, “I miss you too, and I’ll give you another chance to prove that you can really be here—not just for me but for Nari.” you replied with a shaky voice.
For the next months, I.n does exactly what he promised. Showing up for Nari while also making time for you.
One day you decided to finally talk to him about your decision.
“I’ve seen how much effort and time you’ve been putting into us. Im really grateful for everything and have been thinking, I want to try us again.” he grabs your hands with relief and hugs you tight, like you’ll disappear if he lets go for even a second.
*a year later*
“I’m really happy you let me prove myself.” he says softly with his head resting on your shoulder.
You turn your head to look at him and kiss his forehead, “I will forever love you, innie.”
His heart melts at the name and kisses you passionately. “I love you.” he says before drifting off to sleep while holding you.

“Jungwon, I have to go to work—let go.” you said while attempting to escape his embrace. “Nooo, you don’t need a job.” he said whining and holding tighter. “Babe, I actually do need a job—how else am I supposed to pay my bills.”
When you were finally able to free yourself from him, he immediately started moping.
It started with him sighing everytime you went in and out of the bathroom, stealing your work clothes, and worst of all—grabbing your waist when you were about to leave the house.
“Jungwon, we’re not doing this again.” you sighed out tired, “Let go or im not bringing your favorite after work.”
At the sound of that he let go almost immediately, excited for his snacks, but still pouting at you having to leave. “I guess you can go…but im not happy about it.” he said with a pout. “I don’t wanna leave either wonnie, but it’s fine. The day will go by quick and i’ll be home in no time.” you comforted him, “and anyways don’t you have practice at 11:00?” you asked. He groaned at the thought of having to go to practice, “Ughh, don’t even remind me. Why can’t we both call in and say we’re sick, I don’t wanna be away from you.” he said holding on to your hand with pleading eyes hoping it works.
During work you got around 20+ messages in less than an hour of being there.

You sighed lovingly at his messages—yes he could be really clingy but that’s what you love most of him.
When you got home, Jungwon was already showered and changed into something comfortable. “Wonnie, i’m home!” you yelled out waiting for him to come. You heard footsteps getting louder and then a yell, “Baby!” he said while tackling you into a hug and then grabbing the food, “I missed you”.
“I missed you too love—now come before the food gets cold.” you said hugging back and leading him to a chair.
After dinner, you went up to your shared room and showered quickly to change into your pajamas. It wasn’t easy to leave his side at first but when he heard that you would be able to cuddle the whole night, he let you go.
“Baby! are you almost done?” he yelled from the room. Walking out of the bathroom—you went into the room and cuddled up into his side.
He let out a calm sigh and hugged you by the waist while putting his head into your soft neck. “Mm, I missed you all day baby,” he said, “I missed you too wonnie.” you replied.
He looked up at you from your neck and gave you a quick kiss. You kissed him back and he pulled you closer—if that was possible, and held you all night.

"Mommy!" you heard from your daughter in the living room, "What happened sweetheart," you say walking in and crouching to her level.
She starts to look around, searching to see if her appa was nearby. "I need to tell you a secret, but you can't tell appa." she said with the most serious but cutest face you've ever seen.
"Promise that you won't tell him anything!" you stared at her for a couple of seconds before promising.
"I wont tell your appa anything, I promise." you told her. “What is it baby, what do you need to tell mommy?” you questioned her. “Theres this boy at my school, and I think he’s cute.” she said quietly while looking away.
You gasped dramatically, “Yah, you like a boy? Why are you so nervous to tell appa?” you teased, “Im scared to tell appa because he scare boys.” she answered.
You laugh at that, knowing exactly how your husband is. He always scared men who would talk to you with just a glare, you could definitely see him doing it to boys who talked to his princess.
“Okay, that’s understandable, now tell me more about this boy.” you told her while changing the conversation, “What’s his name? Is he in your class?” you said questioning her about him.
“It’s Ji-hoon.” she says, you paused—that was the name of Heeseungs son. “You mean Lee Ji-hoon? Heeseungs son?” you asked a bit shocked but finding it funny. “Yes, Ji-hoon, he’s funny and I like playing with him when we go over.” she said with a wide smile. “Ah Seo-yoon, out of everyone, you like your dads best friends son.” you told her while stroking her hair. Even the thought of it made you laugh.
Little did you and her know, Jay heard the whole conversation from the stairs.
Later at night, you noticed Jay sulking when you were getting ready for bed.
“Babe, what’s wrong?” you said from the bathroom, “Hm? Nothing.” he replied still sulking. You sighed, did he really think you believed that, “Why are you lying,” you turned to face him, “Do you think I don’t know when you’re sulking, you and Seo-yoon have the same pouting face.” you finished. At the mention of your daughter, Jay turned to you quickly.
“I heard her earlier.” Jay said
Those simple words were all you had to hear to know why he was upset. “I heard her talking about Ji-hoon,” he said his name like it was cursed, “I told you we should stop going to theirs, I knew he was flirting with her when I saw him give her the last lollipop.” he said looking at you. You giggled at his upset tone, “Ah Jay, it’s just a little crush. It’s normal for her age and it’s better it’s Ji-hoon and not some other kid we don’t know.” you told him while playing with his hair. “I know but she doesn’t need any other man in her life but me.”
The next morning, Jay had the day off and decided to confront Seo-yoon about her crush.
“Seo-yoon.” he said during breakfast, she paused eating and looked up at him, “Yes appa?” she replied while tilting her head confused. “Yesterday, I heard you and mommy talking.” he started, “Why do you like Ji-hoon?” She looked at him now with wide eyes, “Appa, don’t scare him either please.” she pleaded. Jay looked suprised at this, “Yah! I don’t scare anyone.” he defended himself. You and Seo-yoon looked at him with ‘really?’ faces, “Jay, my love, don’t lie. We both know you like to scare anyone near us.” you spoke up. Jay stared at you betrayed, “Yah you’re supposed to be on my side!”
*a week later*
“Babe,” you yelled out to Jay, “What happened?” he says while walking in your shared room. “Heeseung and his wife invited us over for lunch today. Start getting Seo-yoon ready.” you told him, “Oh oka-“ he cut off, “wait, will Ji-hoon be there?” he asks. “Well babe that is their son, I would expect him to be at his home.” you said like it was obvious. “Hm, I don’t like that.” he replies while already walking off to his princesses room. You sighed already tired.
You, Heeseung, and his wife stare at Jay as he glares at Ji-hoon and Seo-yoon playing together. “So, why is Jay glaring at my son?” Heeseung asks you, “Seo-yoon recently told us she has a crush on Ji-hoon, and Jay—well he’s not taking it lightly.” you explained. You hear both of them say ‘ohh’ like it just clicked.
“Jay, you need to stop glaring at the poor boy.” you said later that night. He turns towards you in bed, trying to cuddle into you more, “No. He doesn’t deserve my princess.”
