OKAY IRONSTRANGE GIRLIES WE ARE SO BACK BUT WITH A NEW TWIST!!!! IT'S STRANGE AND DOOM NOW OMG
Sorry but Elrond deciding to sacrifice not only his own but Gil-Galad's life for Celebrimbor's life work and Gil-Galad JUST ACCEPTING IT altered my brain chemistry permanently
Like I'll never be over that. Is anyone else obsessed with that scene with Elrond, Arondir and Gil-Galad captured by orcs in general? I LOVE that Elrond, gentleman and scholar, is a frenzied, almost crazed warrior on the battlefield
this scene is one of my highlights for the s2 finale.
it was so emotional for me. it showed how elrond has always been a very loyal elf and always stood on business when it comes to the people he love/his friends and that's why he is one of the greatest characters in the show.
he knew celebrimbor is gone, the city that he built has fallen, but elrond would NOT allow brimby's life's work to be gone in his watch. it's very valuable and admires it, to the point he was willing to sacrifice himself.
at the very ending scene, we can see some elves holding some scrolls... so that means the orcs didn't get to burn all celebrimbor's life's work. and that's all that matters. celebrimbor and his great works will live on and he will always be remembered as the greatest elven smith to exist. 🥺

guys I know the last episode was heartbreaking in so many terms but have you seen this dude
Adar had to die because if he, Gil-Galad and Elendil were all in Middle Earth at the same time there would have simply been too much Dad Energy ™️ for the populace to handle. They would have defeated Sauron through sheer “I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed” force alone.
Begging vs demanding. Get you a man who does both. Like Elrond 🧍🏻♀️
hehehehehehehe im fucking blushing
rings of power season 2 was so good and that finale was so epic and it strongly establishes the story line for the next season very well. a fucking 10/10. that's how u do a season finale!!!!!! i can't wait for season 3!!!!!!
celebrimbor's death had me screaming and in tears. he didn't deserve to die brutally like that especially in the hands of sauron. but what comforts me is that before he died, he saw the future. he saw the one ring and sauron's own ruin. i'm sure he also saw frodo and sam in mount doom moments before the ring is finally destroyed.
i just like to imagine that when frodo arrives at the undying lands, celebrimbor is there looking excited and happy to meet frodo 🥹

Charlie Vickers' performance as Sauron/Annatar is so amazingly executed that I think it's a genuinely good resource for teaching people the basics of how psychological abuse actually works
Why is he so pretty though
