bear w me bc most of this came to me in a dream but !! lachryma is perpetua venting about being abandoned to the catholic church by sister imperator as a child
"ripping through every poem / like a vampire should / and it takes one to know 'em / like i knew you would" he's tearing through the poems/psalms in the bible to prove to the church he's not a sinner/vampire. he's explicitly calling sister out as a vampire as well, as she's the one who 'made' him a sinner in the first place
"in the middle of the night, it feeds... it eats you / everybody knows / everywhere i go / i can never run and i cannot hide" perpetua is hoping the guilt of leaving him behind eats his mother alive every night, just as his heartache eats at him. everywhere he goes, everybody knows. he cannot hide from the fact he's a bastard child born out of wedlock
"i'm done crying / over someone like you... / hope you're feeling it too now... / i need somebody new now..." he cries every night wishing things were different, but still directs his anger at sister. he's tired of crying, tired of being beaten. he turns to 'somebody new' in the virgin mary, finally praying for salvation
he starts to believe wholeheartedly what the priests and nuns tell him day in and day out. that he's a vile sinner and the only way to be saved is repenting for things out of his control, such as the circumstances of his birth. he believes himself to be the problem, that his abuse is warranted because of that, and he places the blame for all of it squarely on sister's shoulders
ISRAEL HAS EXECUTED 3,000 PALESTINIAN PRISONERS. IF YOU IGNORE THIS, QUESTION YOUR HUMANITY.

It's really sad to see people hide things that they once thought were worth showing to others.
Ever since COVID hit (at least this is how I experienced it) fandoms grew more unbearable to partake in.
People, who, more often than not, don't make art themselves and just engage with it (sometimes they don't even, no like nor comment from them) started making up reasons as to why certain kinds of thing to do on the internet are bad for you or for others etc.
But expressing scary or strange thoughs and opinions should not be punished. Thoughts like these should start conversations not smear campaigns. Humans have scary or strange thoughs. That's normal. And expressing them creatively shows others they are not alone in feeling a certain way and helping them feel connected and understood, helping them work through them.
And while I am all for proship and profic and anti censorship what I think is also really important to remember is being human and remembering that those on "the other side" are also human. Insecure, unhealthy, scared, hostile - but still human.
This is not just about being profiction or proship but, well, there's no label for people who think anti-harassment should be about things beyond fiction. Likeโ not all of the things I care about that are "controversial" are fictional.
It's important to be able to show sympathy towards those who did all the wrong things so they could learn how to do things the right way. This cannot happen if people are scared of being seen as monsters.
And so I want this post to encourage people to post about (the title says make art but it's not just that) things that they think others might find disturbing, strange, gross, mentally ill - whatever you've seen others say about similar things or projects. It might backfire but it also might do the thing that's supposed to happen - it might start a conversation.
Historically bad times always start with censorship (and self-censorship or censorship within the community) coming for human expression of the taboo and complex, morally grey thoughts, helping to set people against each other.
And it is important that fandoms have a place for people that have these thoughts because otherwise it's not going to end well.
Please make problematic art.

people are literally so boring a male character will kill 10000 people and steal candy from babies and theyll be like omg thats my king! but a female character is rude once and theyre like i hope she dies violently
reblog to support female characters violently killing people
Copia sure misses his brothers, but they've all moved on to better lives.
whew this was a rather ambitious project. I've been wanting to introduce my own take on the beginnings of the Skeleta era, and the 'happy ending' I've given to all the Papas. Well, Copia has yet to find his.
After Terzo's sudden 'retirement' and the brothers' near-death experience of being poisoned, he knew what he had to do---- flee from the Ministry. And so he did, alongside Omega. They settled in Italy and haven't looked back since. They're much happier living in Toscana, adapting to a much slower lifestyle. Terzo at first, wanted to move to a more bustling city, but Omega insisted somewhere quieter, away from the noise.
And for the other brothers? Secondo moved back to his birth city, Las Vegas. Primo, decided he wanted to settle in Romania.
Im so glad to finally showcase my thoughts about where the Papas would be after retirement. I have so much on my mind about Terzo and Omega's life in Italy so, stay tuned for any future art and ramblings.
Stop me if you hate the concept: short, fat, hairy lady gets isakai'd into a high fantasy, and instead of "oh look at all these ethereal elves woe for I am but a flawed mortal" routine she lands in Dwarf territory and is immediately revered as the most enchanting and desirable maid in all the land. This immediately becomes a zesty romantic drama. Thoughts
Destroy the myth that libraries are no longer relevant. If you use your library, please reblog.
I suggest using your local library!
The public library is a good source for borrowing ebooks and audiobooks as well as regular books. My local library has study spaces, meeting rooms, and even a seed library for gardens.
