I wanted her to bring a freer, more unruly energy to the cast — bright without feeling delicate, and lively enough to stand out against Ravenwood’s darker atmosphere

Face reveal 🐈‍⬛

I’ve been posting so many character portraits lately that I sometimes forget to talk about the actual comic behind them 🖤

This series has mostly been my way of getting to know the cast properly before I start drawing them in real scenes — figuring out their faces, clothes, expressions, and all the little details that make them feel like themselves

I’m getting surprisingly close to the end of the portraits now, which means Ravenwood might finally start looking a little less like a collection of suspicious people standing alone in the dark

I’m both excited and slightly terrified to start working on backgrounds and small narrative scenes, but I really can’t wait to see these characters actually interact

Anyway, I’ve really loved sharing the project as it grows here on Tumblr, and I just wanted to thank everyone who has liked, commented on, or reblogged my work so far

Creating something can feel pretty lonely sometimes, so all of your reactions genuinely mean a lot to me 🖤
