What an odd game to watch. Not the best from any of the players. Not sure what Sarina was thinking starting Tooney who just got back from injury against Spain. It reminded me a lot of the France game during the Euros.

Passes were not connecting, Hamptons goal keeping was poor, and her distribution……wasn’t there either. Lotte, Hampton, Walsh and Stanway were not on the same page. Walsh always tends to freeze up when she plays against Spain or Barca.

Hemp should have been on the left side with James to match with Ona’s speed. ABJ and Park also should have started. Lotte and Morgan just didn’t mesh well as CB. MLT and Carter should have been starting. Mead or Kelly could match with Bronze on the right. This is where Sarina missed the mark by not starting the faster players, doesn’t seem like she had a game plan just defend and play from the back. England defeated Spain twice, the England team that performed tonite was not the same team that beat Spain.

With that rant done, on to the next rant. people Proclaiming that Bronze is “done” hope your pillow is warm on both sides and you step on a Lego. She’s done when she says she’s done. Only Lucy Bronze will be the one to determine that. Mapi gave her a big shot in the ribs, (which was uncalled for I think) she goes down, everyone says she’s done because of that!!. It was a bad game for all of the lionesses and people are going to call her out of course I’m aware of her age, she’s not done yet. Onto Ukraine, unfortunately for Ukraine they will face 11 angry lionesses that will want to score 14…..hopefully they do.

The more clips I see of that game the more upset I get. People once again placing all of the blame on Lucy. Poor pass from Hannah Hampton when no one was set, Lucy is talking to Ellie. No one was set or ready for that pass. Lucy was behind Shaw so if she tried for the ball it would have been a foul and a penalty, Kadisha wasn’t set but looked to be in a better position to defend Shaw for both goals. Have a feeling the ref would have called a foul anyways.

Not sure what is going on with Hampton but her goal keeping is not what it was. Nonetheless, I’m starting to doubt Sonia and her decisions. Hopefully Lucy goes to a team that will play her at RB and she can play happy football again. If she does renew I hope Kerr, and some of the other “Hayes” players leave. They have ruined the chemistry of the team from last season.

Honestly, today’s game is another example as to why Bronze should be starting at Right Back. I’ll give credit the Carpenter she did well, and even got back to defend. Then carpenter just stopped getting back to defend either it was Sonia’s instruction to stay high or she got tired because she can’t control her pace. Lucy can control her pace, she knows when to stay back and she can also get back. Sad to see all of the keyboard bandits hate on her because she is not an Emma Hayes cultist or whatever that T-4 nonsense is.

Chelsea for most of the season has let go of a clean sheet because they can’t seem to play a solid 45-50 min. The entire team is to blame not just one player or honestly the coach. The injuries plagued the team this year, the lack of signings during the transfer window was not helpful.

The team had better chemistry last season without Kerr, Carpenter. Now the chemistry is a mess but everyone will just blame Bronze because it is easy for them.

Looking forward to Bronze going to a team that will play her as Right Back gives her the respect she deserves. When she scores on Chelsea it will be delightful. A bit mad at Sonia for constantly play her at CB

Then again I know Gotham needs a LB and a RB. They love a Chelsea transfer. 🦇🦇 and players from Spain

Bronze has done well this season playing out of position, better than most would do I think. Looking forward to her return to England when she can be at her home of Right Back again.

Why can’t carpenter play CB? Can she not play a different position like Lucy? Probably she’s not Lucy Bronze, no one is. But the team plays better when Lucy is at RB.

Lucy will certainly have my vote (if they're fan voted I can't remember😂) for her England performances in particular

But also for showing versatility and resilience for Chelsea

It's a thankless task spending most of your season out of position and under a more intense microscope than most players have to experience and whether she wins the individual awards or not, that deserves credit

However, I could see this being the year her streak of fifa bests ends, but I'll cross my fingers that it's not🤞🏻

Don't put that negative energy out there! I think she also has the thankless job of post-match interviews. She's not even captain but she still speaks to media after a bad game. Her mentality won't wilt with all that criticism, where others might so she's still doing a service for the team.

Not sure who this negative anon is, I hope and think the true fans will recognize that she has played out of position most of the season. Has constantly stepped forward and spoke up when the captain and vice captain are nowhere to be found. Even taken responsibility.

For those who are placing today’s game as her fault need to rewatch it. Begin with the start of the play, where was the ball lost? Mid field, who didn’t recover? Girma, who wasn’t getting back to help the CB? Ohhhh Carpenter. One pass at the start of the game that girma didn’t get to, Bronze cleared with a header that Girma and Burman should of gotten to but froze. Two of those goals were on the left side. Guess no one watches the build up in plays just the end result.

The team didn’t play well altogether, but the ones who showed up Bronze, LJ, and Sio. Bronze still getting forward on the left and right as a CB.

A couple of bad games and some “fans” are screaming for Sonia to get sacked. F* off the lot of you, I’m aware they haven’t been at the best since they played Roma in the champions league (thanks to Bronze), holy hell. Look at all of the injuries and the lack of depth Sonia has to work with. Then there’s the players who just do not have the mentality for big games. I see Sonia screaming instructions but the players either do not hear her or refuse to hear her. I don’t think Sonia would have wanted Bright to play so high with fast players like Shaw, hemp, viv and Nicoli. But she did, Girma had to try and cover, same with Burhman. Hate to say it, if Chelsea players don’t get out of their heads and play ball then to the middle of the table they go. If that happens I hope Bronze doesn’t sign with the team. The amount of times she had to put this team on her shoulders is insane. I don’t know how she does it.

If there are certain players playing like crap on purpose to get Sonia out, shame on them. Sonia was an amazing baller and a good coach, if players can’t or not willing to adapt to change then they should go or sit on the bench.

Sucks that now we only have four fit true defenders, hope everyone recovers soon. Bronze will at least be on the team sheet for the spurs. Because even without her there the team was lacking.

Finally watched the first part of the Chelsea game……. Not sure what Carpenter was doing there. I can look at the stats all I want, crosses into the box were to no one. Most of the passes from the mid field were not great. Baltimore had a bad day of corners, why didn’t they switch corner takers? I hope Bronze lit a fire under everyone’s butts in the locker room after that game. I know Everton spent 90% of the game in a low block, my goodness. Lucy could have created more chances at Right Back. Hopefully this nonsense doesn’t happen on Wednesday.

Maybe they played that way on purpose, to fool any Aroma scouts. Not sure why I’m still frustrated with that game, could be I fell into a few rage baits.

Wowzers, carpenter obsessed fans are almost as bad as the most toxic barsenal fans. Yikes, everyone has a bad game. Today was not hers (in my opinion well, lot of players didn’t have the best), once she learns to control her speed and passing and continues to build more chemistry with other players on team, I think I’ll be a bit critical of her.

Englands starting line up comes out and the “fake” fans come to life. I don’t think MLT is a good one to start at RB, should be Charles or Bronze starting. Both experienced and coming back from injury, just sub them at half. Moorhouse should be in goal because she plays with most of the Brazil team for club in the NWSL, then again I believe she is also coming back from an injury. It’s a friendly but need to take it seriously since the lionesses will be playing them again for a trophy.

Sam Kerr plays one game and the rabid Chelsea fans start hating on other Chelsea players and Sonia. WTF, honestly the team was undefeated in the league without her last year. It’s going to be a bit before she is back to 100%. I’m going off of articles I have read about ACL’s and what other players with ACL injuries have said also. They just want to hate I guess, when the rest of the players come back from injury it will be amazing. The defense today was not the best, mid field was puzzling. Looking forward to Bronze returning (along with others), because having Bronze and Thompson on the Right is going to be amazing…..the pace. Nothing against jojo she is amazing as well, I have watched Thompson play a bit more is all. Before a few start throwing hate my way think about it…..:
