How sleep works

For those shifting or entering the void with sleep methods, this will be incredibly helpful information.

When you sleep, you go through about four stages:

Stage 1 - This is the transition from wakefulness to sleep, lasting about 5-10 minutes. In this stage, you close your eyes and get comfy in bed.

Stage 2 - This stage, which makes up about 45% of your sleep, lasts 25-30 minutes. Your eye movement stops, your heart rate and breathing slow, and your muscles relax. K-complexes, which are brief, high-amplitude brain waves, occur sporadically. They help protect sleep by reducing responses to external stimuli and supporting memory consolidation. Simultaneously, sleep spindles, which are bursts of rhythmic brain activity, help integrate sensory information and maintain sleep stability.

Stage 3 - Known for deep sleep, this stage lasts about 30-40 minutes and is your body in its most relaxed state. You become less aware of your surroundings during this stage.

Stage 4 (REM sleep) - Most commonly occurring after about 90 minutes of the first three stages, REM sleep involves rapid eye movement and temporary muscle paralysis (so that you don't move in response to your dreams. How cool is that?). This excludes your eyes and breathing muscles. Brain activity increases, leading to vivid dreams. REM sleep lasts 10 to 90 minutes and gets longer with each cycle. Dreams can happen at any stage, but they're most vivid and frequent during REM sleep.

Each stage is associated with a different type of brain wave. 

The most common brain waves, produced in waking hours, are called beta waves. In stage 1, your brain produces alpha waves; which shift to theta waves as you relax. In stage 2 the previously explained k-complexes and sleep spindles occur. Between these short bursts, your brain is producing theta waves. In stage 3 your brain is producing delta waves. These are the slowest brain waves and are (obviously) a characteristic of deep sleep. In stage 4 (REM) your brain waves are most similar to how they are when awake, which means your brain is dominantly producing beta waves.

this one is still so crazy to me because of how it happened. my old phone was so broken and in literal shambles so one morning my dad was literally like pick a phone and i’ll buy it. LIKE WHAT!!

⟢ friends with everyone

this will connect with the next one, but after leaving a super toxic friend group i was so scared i’d have no friends because they had literally been my only friends for years. as soon as i left though, i made friends with people from every form and even people who didn’t like me before because i was apart of that friend group (they are notoriously not very nice people 😭)

⟢ me and my childhood best friends becoming close again

this is quite self explanatory, but i became friends again with all my childhood bffs after i left that friend group. fake people really hold you down 😪

me and this guy that I’ve known for a while have been friends for a bit, especially because our parents know each other, but especially recently we’ve become close and it’s genuinely so nice to have a male bsf

not only is my 4b/4c hair so so healthy recently and has grown sm but my mum is letting me dye it and because of loa i know it’s gonna get even healthier with the dye! keep in mind, my mum isn’t the strictest but I’m so shocked she even said yes to dyeing it and she even offered to dye it for me!

★some things i manifested in june since it's OVAAA★

☆ lil backstory: so i've been into the law and learning about it for some time (pushing almost 2-ish years) but i've never genuinely persisted in my manifestations, as well as working on my self-concept, until towards the middle of june. sooo to celebrate me actually locking in, here are some of the things i manifested!

☆ princess treatment- i'm actually so happy with this one because it's been a good 3 weeks since i actually paid for something that i wanted and people are more kind and respectful of my feelings than they were 😅

☆ my parents being more lenient on the clothes i wear- before, my parents (specifically my mother) didn't let me where anything that showed even a SLIVER of my stomach as well as other things and i understood the reason why (creepy men) but at the same time, i'm not gonna let some weird fucks scare me into toning down my main way of expression

☆ a calmer mindset for myself 🙏

☆ sitting next to my mother on a 4 hour plane ride- i hate sitting next to randoms you guys :(

☆ always getting whatever phase i'm on in phase 10

☆ seeing a BUNCH of fine men- was in need of some eye candy 🥱

☆ my phone working properly- so i had that emergency override thing where there was somehow water in my connecter. mind you, i had a 7 hour car ride the next day and i NEED my music so i just went to bed affirming and visualizing it charging correctly and being dry and i woke up to it charging and working just fine :)

Glamour challenge 🎀

So I thought it'd be a fun idea to do a challenge every week , each week we can focus on a certain topic. This week its gonna be glamour baby! ♡

Here's the routine we're gonna do from start to finish everyday of the week :

1. ♡ The moment you wake up , before you even touch ur phone or do anything take a moment to tap into your inner goddess, like its such a blessing to be alive and to be YOU and the world awaits you , like ure truly the goddess of your own reality. (Even if u don't believe this idc DO IT)

2. ♡ when you wash your face imagine the water is enhancing your beauty and cleansing u from any impurities (or u can say ur beauty affirmations during ur skin care/makeup also when looking in the mirror).

3. ♡ ROBOTIC AFFIRMATIONS. Every single time u think of the word "beauty" I want u to repeat this mantra "I'm literally the embodiment of beauty, I radiate beauty, I'm so beautiful, everyone thinks I'm beautiful, I look like a goddess"

4. ♡ when people look at you , assume they're seeing your desired face and they're literally mesmerized by your beauty.

5. ♡ as you fall asleep I recommend playing your fav beauty affirmation audio or frequency, again tapping into your inner goddess and feeling beautiful from within , literally embodying it.

sorry if this is too personal but what was your starting point for manifesting your desired body and how long did it take you to see results? im feeling discouraged again bc i feel like i havent seen any changes, but ive also been affirming and persisting

hii my luv ♡, I apologize for the late reply. Your question is not too personal don’t worry, I would be happy to answer it.

☆ — The main thing is I kind of just wanted to look different (?) I never really had any problems with my body, however I did want to look better and was honestly really bored. It took me a while to get body results because I used to OBSESS over results, and when I would start seeing the results I would lose them after a while 😭. I would spend my entire day listening to body subs constantly no stop for hours. With time I started realizing I just have to relax and stop looking for results after only listening once. At the time I would also affirm a lot but that didn’t help all that much.

The biggest advice I can give you is :

— ★ try focusing on your self concept for about a week. I know people are always telling you to do so but it’s really important especially when you’re having any type of “blockage”.

— ☆ for about a week listen to “reprogramming your subconscious mind” affirmations videos overnight, and during the day focus on your body playlist. Try shorten it down if you think it might be too long.

When I first started manifesting my body (even till now ) I only listen to Jessica Heslop on YouTube, but there are many different people that make those types of videos. I would recommend THIS video to help with any limiting beliefs.

—★ try doing fun challenges! When I did the 3dolc x Roe challenge it was during the time when I was struggling getting results but it worked even though I had many doubts. For my 🍒 I got my results in less than a week. For other parts like my hips it took longer but maybe a month or two. Please keep in mind that I am still working and manifesting my ideal body but the results I’ve been getting so far are great.

hii cutie ♡ I didn’t/ don’t really use affirmations for this but whenever I was preparing for a presentation I would play the subliminals. This not only helped me memorize my subjects and made me more confident <3.

I’ve gotten great results from these subliminals, every time I present people are always complimenting me and whenever I think I stuttered people always reassure me that it was barely noticeable! All the presentations I’ve done this year I’ve gotten a 95+

Hi cutie ♡, I made a post similar to this a while back but I’m willing to help you out 🤍.

  𓆩 ☆ 𓆪  I would recommend listening to some flush subliminals before starting over. Try focusing on specific topics for a while too. For example if you want a smaller nose you can listen to your playlist overnight for a week then kind of forget about and move to something else! That’s what I do with my body playlist and it works 🤭. You have to remember to give your brain some rest in order for it to function/ understand your desires without you overstimulating it.

STRUGGLING TO AFFIRM? TRY THIS!

the main thing maaaany people struggle with when it comes to manifesting and the law of assumption is persisting. persistence, as we all know, is very important to ensure we don’t contradict our desires and make sure we get what we want! i used to be that person who affirmed once and then never again during the day and then moped around miserable because i didn’t get what i wanted when i kept forgetting to persist!

so to fix this i came up with this technique to help me! i basically would section my desires into categories and narrow down my affirmation list to 5. this is a number that is manageable for me as it makes my affirmations concise and easy to memorise. i then wrote these affirmations down on a piece of paper and stuck it around my room. this helped me wonders as i would look at the paper all the time and remember to affirm! doing this really helped to persist and speed up my manifestations as i was affirming much more often and saturating my mind with my desires. also, physically writing out my affirmations and seeing them on paper as opposed to having to go on my phone and scroll on the notes app or on tumblr just made affirming so much more enjoyable for me! if you are someone who struggles to affirm and staying consistent, i’d recommend trying this out!

p.s. i actually have only done this twice, and i focused on manifesting one thing at a time before moving onto another desire and set of affirmations (although you can definitely use this to manifest more than one thing at once!!). i created the other 4 set of affirmation notes for the purpose of this post, and to inspire others! (also pls don’t judge my handwriting okay 😭)
