Hi! your lost Prince au is one of my favorite fanworks ive ever read. I read a year ago and it lives rent-free in my head. I just wanted to thank you for creating it and inspiring the various daydreams and thought experiments it spawned :)))
So late to answer this but omg THANK YOU anon!!! This is so so great to hear, I really did put my heart and soul into that for a while and Iâm glad it made an impact! đđ
Time Management by @anthemxix @gintrinsic-writing and @lyrabythelake is kinda like being on a little crack/angst roller coaster. My brain had to recalibrate every two paragraphs and I loved every second of it. I definitely recommend reading it if you havenât already!
Look at this!!! I love it, the expression on Twilightâs face as he holds the stick, Warriors with his head in his hands and Legend legging it in the background. I had so much fun writing this with Gin and Anthem and this art captures it all so well!!
in the kindest way possible, where is your fic, the missing link 2.0? i wanted to reread it but i cant seem to find it anywhere
Anon I DIDNâT THINK ANYONE WOULD NOTICE! I was doing an ao3 clear out (new year, new me) and figured it was never going to be finished so deleted it. Iâm planning on merging the original and that one when/if I get round to it.
Feel free to DM me and I can send you the Google doc of 2.0! Honestly so nice to hear people are still reading that so thank you đ

Words: 4,363
Rating: Gen
Characters: Twilight, Warriors, Sky
Summary:
âAha!â Twilight triumphed. âWe knew you werenât taking a break!â
âWhy does it matter to you, Rancher?â
âI could always get Time,â Twilight suggested. âIâm sure heâd be more than willing to give a long lecture on the importance of taking a break.â
Warriors glared.
âAnd disturb a rare afternoon with his wife? I donât think you would dare.â
He was right, of course. Twilight would rather feed himself to a Likelike than interrupt Time and Malonâs afternoon.
I love your Lost Prince AU so much!! Do you have any snippets to share? :)
Hi Anon! I'm so glad you like my Lost Prince AU!! I'm afraid I haven't had nearly enough time or motivation to write much over the past few months and that AU seems to be fading into the background. I might get back to it one day but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Instead have an extra long snippet from the next chapter of A Dark Horizon that's been sitting in my drafts for a million years. I hope it does a little to make up for it!
He ran his fingers over it curiously to find that it was, in fact, made of real animal fur, and on further inspection a pelt of some kind, not unlike those some Ordonians wore. Usually, they were made from rabbit fur, or, less commonly⊠from wolf fur.
Twilight pulled his hand back suddenly as if struck by static. He recognised it now, could smell it in the air, a scent that should not have been as familiar as it was.Â
Did someone see him last night? Had they somehow connected the dots? His heart pounded as he ran through what that meant, how the people of his village would hunt down wolves and wear their skins like trophies. He had worked himself into quite a panic before he saw the letter, a small piece of parchment gilded with the royal crest and folded once over. It held merely two short sentences, a piteous number of words considering the embellishments surrounding it.
A gift from your brother. Beware the Crystal - Time
Twilightâs first thought was relief. The pelt was from King Time, ill-thought out as he believed it wasâ-was it a joke? It seemed a little insensitive given last nightâs harrowing experiencesâ-it meant there wasnât some unknown stranger somewhere who knew his secret. His second thought was that Time had called him his âbrother.â Realistically he knew it was a fact, a strange one that he still hadnât quite wrapped his head around, but to have it written on paper, for the king to truly see him in that way to an extent to sign his name as such, a small village rancher who would otherwise had lived and died in Ordon, was still baffling to him. He had never had a big brother and had always taken on that role with Colin and the other children in the village, but the idea of having someone be that for him was not a bad one.Â
His third thought brought a dry sort of smirk to his face. What would it mean, truly, to wear this pelt in public? It would be a statement in many waysâa statement of fashion, for wolf pelts were most certainly not in line with Hyruleâs eclectic, but distinguished, style; a statement of personality, for to wear this would be truly embracing his agricultural roots and would set himself apart from his brothers in a way the aristocrats of Hyrule wouldnât be able to deny. Lastly, of course, and it was this thought that brought the smile to his face, it would be blaring last night's events in plain view. To Twilight, and his rather unusual sense of humour, it was an entertaining idea.
So it was that he adorned his usual green tunic, the clasps altered to suit his simpler acclimations, and fit the pelt over the top. It was thick and bulky, and there was no denying it would make him noticeable, a prospect he had tried his best to avoid up until this point. It was not often that Twilight look at himself in mirrors; he had never been one to care particularly about the way he looked (something that prompted Ilia to tell him begrudgingly once, âyou donât care because you donât have to. You manage to look good with your face smeared with goat dung; some of us have to actually try,â to which he blushed fiercely and hastily changed the subject), but he looked at himself now in the large, ornately framed looking-glass on his wall. The pelt gained him a sort of barbarian-esque look, and as he turned to look over his shoulder, he found that he liked it. He had tried so hard thus far to fit in, to mirror Castle Townâs expectations of how a prince ought to look, that he quite fancied this new, powerful, and considerably un-princely, style. Besides, the hood would keep him warm this Winter.
Have a very unfinished fic I began for fun starring Four and Warriors
Four started it.Â
Enemy defeated, worlds saved, the heroes were wandering Hyrule with weighted footsteps in unspoken suspense for that last portal that would send them their separate ways.Â
Except time drew thin, the portal never came. By the time they reached the inn, they counted an entire month treading a land unfamiliar to all of them but Legend without clear purpose or direction. It was driving them all a bit insane.
So when Four slipped the innkeeper a small, rectangle piece of parchment from the top of a stack tied carefully in twine, Warriors latched onto it as a single, tiny mystery to be solved in a whirlwind of boredom.
âCan I see that?â he asked, eyeing the papers Four was hastily shoving back into his bag. The innkeeper slid his own under the bar after studying it with vague interest.
Fourâs face grew red but he handed them over without further persuasion.
A neat border of repeating patterned inked swords framed the words:
Heroes for Hire
Evil warlord got you down? Monsters driving you mad?
Weâre here to help.
(Additional services include smithing, cooking, sailing, pot clearance and more)
âI just thought we could all do with a project or two. I think everyoneâs been feeling a bit⊠lost these days.â Four rushed to explain.
The night before, Wild had used his fusion ability to attach a block of butter to one of his shields then slid around the camp on it for two hours. âLostâ was probably an understatement.Â
âYou know what?â Warriors said cheerfully, handing the card back, âI think itâs a really good idea.â
Warriors had slipped over three times while getting ready that morning; Wild had turned their entire camp into an oily booby trap.
Fours face grew even redder.
âYeah?â
âYeah! I think what weâre lacking is a sense of purpose, you know? We all miss our homes and this could give us a good distraction.â
They didnât really talk about why they were still here all that much. None of them were the type to air the worries and concerns out in the open, but they all knew they were thinking the same thing. It was as if the Goddess had abandoned them here now they had fulfilled their usefulness. She couldnât even be bothered to get them all back to where they belonged.
âHow many people have you given these to?â
âJust that innkeeper,â Four said. âAnd one of the farmers we passed on the outskirts of the village.â
No sooner had he spoken those words than a young boy ran into the inn, eyes huge beneath windswept hair.
âAre you the heroes for hire?â he asked, his breath catching between words.
With an impressive swish of his scarf and a blinding smile, Warriors stood before him.
âWhy yes, as a matter of fact, we are.â
âAt your service,â Four added, if only to prevent Warriors from taking complete control over the idea that was Fourâs in the first place.
âYou gave my father your card earlier,â the boy said. âThe Zora have flipped our sheep again. Dad said heâll give you two blue Rupees if you give us a hand putting them right before it gets dark.â
âDid you say the sheep were flipped?â Four asked. Warriors elbowed him hard.
âWeâre happy to help.â
âThis isnât really what I had in mind,â Four told Warriors as they strained to heave the third sheep onto its feet. âWhy do Zora even do this, it seems very petty.â
âLegend said thereâs been civil war between the Zora and Hylians for hundreds of years around here. Itâs mostly died down now, but Hylians still fish in Zora territory so the Zora do things like turning sheep upside down to show their defiance.â
âStill, itâs not exactly the âevil warlordsâ I was expectingâ
âPatience, my small friend!â Warriors declared just as they managed to push the sheep onto its feet, âeveryone must start somewhere and our business is only a few hours old after all. Small beginnings make for the best hero agencies, as they say.â
âYou just made that up,â Four muttered dispassionately.
Apparently i have been shadow-banned. I don't know how since I've been inactive for MONTHS!! I can't access my messages and I think it ate several of my asks. The good thing is that it's only for my main.... the bad thing is i mostly messaged from main.
Ah well. Since being Shadow-banned makes your content somewhat invisible to your followers, I'm just going to sneak in and post some doodles.
What's the story behind the draw? I don't know. I just had a vision of it, and drew it. Is it angst? fluff? Crack? Honestly, who even cares? It's whatever you make of it. I just missed drawing Roolie.
