There had never been any animosity towards the Fool, and the girl wasn’t about to start feeling it. The boy had done nothing wrong in order to receive it, so why should she start? Her heart was much too kind, and there was no room for such negativity. Only good feelings and memories.
Her hand remained on the Persona user’s fluffy blue hair, keeping that gentle and loving – with a touch of motherly affection – touch to calm his soul. It calmed her own, in a way, letting her doubts melt away with each stroke. It was nice, knowing he was here, and not there, being the Seal, or someone else’s. Perhaps she should be selfish more, although once in a while.
His smile and quiet voice caused her to stop the rubbing, and she could feel the heat rising to her face. It’d been so long since she’d heard him say her name in that way, since he had smiled at her with that mostly emotionless face. To hear him thank her in that soft voice, oh, she felt her heart jump right out of her chest.
“I’m just… I’m just glad you’re okay, Minato-kun,” she said, just as quietly, in reply.
If there had been a time she hadn’t met him, she wouldn’t know what to do with herself.
This time, he let her lean her head on his shoulders and he rubbed her back as she did so. Her frame, so small and fragile, and yet deep inside she held the courage of a woman like no other. She inspires him in such a way that no one else does, motivates him like no one else does... and love him like no one else does. Was that a heightened level of assumption? Maybe so, but now they have all the time in the world to prove that, or change that in any form or matter. It was only a matter of whether or not she wanted it too, if she wanted it just as much.
Hands went to soothe her shoulders with a gentle rub, almost as if giving her a tender massage. Both of them had been stressed and exhausted from the varying cruelties of the world. It was about time for them to just spend moments with one another, perhaps make new memories. Although, unfortunately, Hell was the last place to be an ideal one. In any case, the appearance of the Central Hub at least does not reflect the imagery of Hell he had in mind. And so, it was rather peaceful to be with her at best.
Pulling off a little, he eyed the girl before him and his expression weakened. What a sweet surrender she was.
"Where do you live?"
