“If you pause on Invidia, are you seeking an end-vy to your journey?”
@unfortunateconstellations
“I’m outtie. Scream if you get into some form of trouble.”
【❉】~; And nothing but frustration entered Weiss’ mind…what was so important that he had to leave her all alone for a period of time, the annoying thing is that he has done such a thing more then once since they were partnered up, and thus nothing but a sigh escaped from her lips before finally speaking up about his actions…again. “Whatever…do whatever it is you need to do.”
“Well it’s no fun if you’re going to be understanding about it.”
【❉】~; She couldn’t help but laugh at Lucifer…for once she finally dulled that stupidity she felt like he always showed since meeting him, however this wasn’t the time for jokes, she let him go about whatever business it was that he to attend to, simply sitting herself upon the ground as she awaited his return.
It was so strange. Ever since Hades had set foot in this odd Hell, it seemed as though most of the demons he witnessed were overly attached to their masters-determined to spend what time they could beside them. But here... here he could have sworn he just heard the other declare he was leaving for a while, the young lady simply accepting it. Surely that would be dangerous in a place such as this one? Watching from afar, Hades let a frown grace his features, concern for this stranger making itself known.
Silently he waited, concern only growing as the demon did leave the girl's side, his Leviathan even letting out a discontented huff.
"How unprofessional of my brother..." She mused, casting a gaze of pity towards the white haired female. "Leaving her to the mercy of those around her. I mean, he could be summoned quickly, but it's still... Useless."
Shaking her head, the demon looked to the side, continuing forwards, waiting for her Master to follow. Except, he didn't.
Instead he remained rooted to the spot for a moments, observing the girl sat upon the ground. He was worried for her welfare, and by now had come to realise that maybe... his misfortune wasn't such a bother here. It was a peculiar prospect for the God to understand, and he still vowed to be cautious, but it did allow for slightly easier conversation.
Taking a deep breath, the God stepped forwards, making his way towards the girl without a word. Watching her Master turn away like that stirred some jealousy within his demon, and reluctantly she followed in his footsteps, standing right at his side.
Pausing a fair few feet in front of her, maintaining his distance, he finally spoke up.
"Excuse me." He began, bowing his head slightly as he spoke up. "Are you alright? It's hardly safe to find yourself solitary in a place such as this...”

“It seems no matter where I go, I will still stumble with one of you fools.”
“That may be the case. However, is now the time for such criticism? Surely even you must realise the severity of this situation.”

When he met the man, he was expecting surprise–not some sort of horrified shout. Surely he wasn’t that terrifying? Lucifer had taken ample care to come across as polished, all the more to please his Mistress. What a noisy soul, he mused, even as he nodded cheerfully through the man’s hesitant introduction. Good, good, now who could his demon be–
–ah.
{ You wound me, sister, } Lucifer said with a sigh. { Of course I’m following orders in these matters. And it’s no business of yours to judge my actions. }
{ How very sad that neither you nor my Mistress seems to like me very much today~ }
He was such a handsome devil, but all of the ladies he met treated him like dirt. Truly, it was tragic. (And yet he couldn’t help but feel a thrill as they trampled his pride, again and again–) Such were his thoughts as he listened to Levianthan’s keeper speak again. He had an aristocratic air about him–quite fitting for the Lady’s tastes. And the name–by chance, a familiar one.
{ Lord Aidoneus. So you are the appointed ruler of these lands? My lady will be most pleased. }
{ She has a tendency to puntificate. Then by your leave– } He rose slowly into the air, and pointed towards a nearby outcrop of boulders. { –shall we meet over there? Most likely, my Mistress is waiting amongst the rocks. }
Speaking up before Hades could stop her, Leviathan huffed at her brother's words, giving him a brief shake of her head.
“Good. And it is my business if you're going to be a threat, or even a bother to my Master." Keeping her arms crossed, the envy demon maintained her defensive pose. "Well, maybe you're just frustrating everyone today..."
Letting his demon finish talking, he finally took the chance to respond himself. Giving the other demon a curt nod, Hades remained quiet for a few moments, a little surprised that word spread so swiftly of the island leader. It was hardly a position to be proud of, given to him out of sheer... misfortune, but the title seemed to carry a heavy weight with it.
"Yes. That is me." He clarified, keeping his words brief. Still somewhat cautious at speaking with another's demon, he kept his eyes trailed on him, occasionally flickering his sights to Leviathan to gauge her reactions.
However, as he continued to speak, a small smile worked its way onto the God's features. Had this creature just... made a pun? That was the last thing he expected here, and the unpredictability of it all simply made things all the more amusing. Only just keeping his composure, he watched patiently as the demon rose into the air, gesturing to the nearby rocks. Really, he wasn't too surprised that she was waiting nearby- it made sense to have the area scoped out first.
"Thank you, Lucifer." He mused, recalling the name from as Leviathan had stated it. "I look forward to meeting your Mistress."
Beginning to step forward towards the boulders, Hades was abruptly stopped by an arm placed in front of him, Leviathan glaring daggers at the other demon.
"Master, please allow me to venture there first. I'm sure he can't be trusted." Yet before her master could even respond, she had darted forward, scanning the outcrop of boulders for this 'Mistress'. Without much fear, the demon searched, speaking up rather loudly. Whilst her voice was soft when speaking with Hades, it took a rather harsh turn as she searched for the other. "You know, you should show yourself! It's not fair that you send your disgusting demon to speak with my Master first... it's insulting...!"
At the display, Hades let out a hefty sigh, moving his crimson gaze to look at Lucifer for a moment. Trying to convey a brief apology with his look, the God continued to walk forward.
"Leviathan..." He muttered to himself, before addressing those around him. "I should be headed there swiftly, before this causes unnecessary bother..."
“On Superbia, are you simply being taken along for the pride?”
Lucifer dematerialized himself and took the situation as a sign that his presence was not required. The mourning in his demonic heart had been naught for outward appearances, as if to pity what manner of service was provided by the other’s Demon, if she was fit to accept such a fancy statement from the mouth of her Master. It disgusted the servant how little pride this one have when his lips twitched to say something outlandish, pure nonsense. No one would accept such a thing, or believe so, and he had faith that his owner will not buy into it.
Except, he would.
The man took a few steps backwards, eyes averting from the stranger towards his hovering company. An expectation was to be had, if she was gonna deny such words. The lack of reaction must have been a confirmation and Battler felt a chill crawl down his spine. With the current circumstances, he does not wish to provide more misfortunes for himself. That warning was one out of friendliness, of the desire to prevent causing more harm, and he was bound to believe that as he did not saw himself fit to disapprove. No evidence would otherwise speak it untrue.
“Hmmmm.” Why the freak he lying. Why he always lying. Mmm, oh my god. “Stop freaking lying.” Battler gave in, not wanting to truly think of this man less just because of what he said. While it was true there’s nothing to refute that claim, there was no reason to believe it either.
Now silent, Leviathan stood her ground beside her master, watching quietly as Lucifer took his leave. For a fleeting moment, the demon gave a small smile, rather content that she didn't have to deal with the meddling of another of her kind. But she did not leave the situation herself, noting her Master's growing frustration. Instead, she took to standing just behind Hades, eyes cautiously trailed on this stranger. If she wasn't being given any orders as to what to do, she'd remain physically by his side. After all, things were substantially more interesting that way.
But as Hades awaited a response, his stoic expression quickly dropped as soon as the stranger opened his mouth.
Lying...? This man thought he was uttering nonsense? How foolish...
As if to show his disappointment at the statement, a frown pulled at his features, crimson eyes burning as they glared at the male. He'd met a fair few people who tried to dismiss his misfortune as something trivial, but a statement as blatant as this? No one had dared...
After a few moments of silence, Hades finally spoke up again, tone somewhat more hesitant. He really was unsure how to go about answering this man.
"I'm not lying." Came the simple answer, the God inclining his head, allowing green locks to cover his face further. "This is a serious, genuine warning. Do you wish to meet unmentionable troubles? Pitiful human..." Crossing his arms in disdain, Hades continued to stare down the man for a few moments, before averting his gaze once more.
"Stuck in a game such as this, and you readily dismiss warnings of further tragedy? What a foolish mistake to make in Hell."
Brushing a few strands of hair away from her face she looked up at the voice that seemed to address her.
Courteous. Kind. Yet the eyes that was casted upon her seemed so cold. Almost familiar, even. But she wasn’t one to comment on such things, no, not yet. Perhaps he had his reasons why he maintains such a distance, even with the unmasked concern.
“I had hoped to be alright. My… toenail has broken. I’m sorry but could you find something that could let me cut it off, so I can take it out without harming the skin on the inside?”
"Your... toenail is broken?" He echoed, inclining his head ever so slightly to get a better look. It was something substantially more trivial than he'd anticipated from this, but perhaps it felt worse than it looked...
Letting out a gentle sigh, he cast his gaze to their surroundings, attempting to see if there was anywhere he could turn to. Really, he didn't expect there to be. This was Hell after all...
"I doubt that we'd be able to find some sort of clippers in a place like this. Perhaps scissors." Crossing his arms, the God returned his sights to the girl.
"You may be out of luck, I'm sorry. Perhaps an alternative would be to work it off by hand. I’d offer further assistance in doing that, but it would only cause you more pain..." For a moment he paused, a frown moving across his features. He couldn’t just leave her here to struggle alone, but perhaps he’d leave it up to her if she would accept his cautious offer of help. “However I can try if you wish. Or I may be able to help you to a more comfortable area. Public stairways are not the best of places for such things.”
Bethany had been swaying back and forth on her heels for a while, hands clasped together as nerves built up within her stomach. None of this made any sense, suddenly she was leader of an entire island of people that probably weren’t even from Thedas. A completely different world with different cultures. But no matter how different everyone looked, their human-like appearances drew them a little closer together.
Leviathan was busy hopping around the mage, trying to explain things using her regular sped up tone. It was as if someone had her constantly on fast-forward, and Bethany wasn’t getting any of it. Though, she hadn’t the heart to tell the other to stop, lest she get insulted that Bethany wasn’t listening in the first place.
It was times like these she wondered if she really was the master in this kind of relationship.
However, another voice piped up by her, one approaching her to apologise for the situation on her. A dismal fate? Did he know something about this place that she didn’t? Oh thank the Maker, finally someone who could help her! Taking a few steps towards the other, with the background complaints from Leviathan asking questions and exclaiming like; “Where are you going?” and “Hey! I’m not finished explaining!”
“Are you… Referring to me? Honestly I have no idea how I even got here and what I’m supposed to do to get out… Could you maybe shine a little light on this for me please, I don’t think I’m getting it at all… What was this place made for?” Pausing she offered an apologetic gaze before swiftly changing her tune for a moment.
"Ah, do excuse me, my name is Bethany… Bethany Hawke… And this here is Leviathan.“ The latter of which piped up at the sight of her other standing before her with a grin.
”Oooho, sister. You certainly caught a looker, didn’t you.“
It took a moment or two for him to register a feminine voice filtering through the air, the God unaware that the very woman he'd commented on had heard, and responded to his concerned musings.
Freezing in place, he returned his crimson sights to her, listening patiently to her words. Whilst he didn't respond immediately, concern was still clear to see on his features, at least until it was replaced with a half-hearted frown. It didn’t seem as though he could escape the situation now, and so instead, he responded to her questions.
"Yes." He answered simply, sights not straying from her for even a second. "Unfortunately I only understand a little of this place. But I may be able to help you. I believe this is... a variant of the Underworld. Not the one I have known. Some have called it Hell."
Falling silent, Hades let out a sigh, following the girl's words. She was polite enough to introduce herself, and that in the least was a relief. However, it did come as a bit of a surprise to hear that her demon was the same as his own. Moving his gaze to the other Leviathan, he gave her a curt nod, before turning to Bethany once more.
"Bethany Hawke?" He echoed, as if trying to ensure that he had the correct pronunciation. "I am the God of the Underworld, Hades." His position rolled off of his tongue too easily, still unused to conversing properly with other mortals. He saw no reason to hide it however, and so spoke freely.
Yet before he could continue, the other's demon spoke up, addressing his Leviathan. But her words... they certainly caught him off guard. No one had quite complimented him like that before, and the God had to avert his eyes from the situation for a moment. Shaking his head, he let green strands cover his face, obscuring the faint blush forming on his cheeks. Ah... he really shouldn't allow himself to be caught off guard by such things, after all, these demons seemed to be mischievous creatures.
But whilst Hades tried to keep his reactions to the comment as subtle as possible, Leviathan was having none of it. Without so much as a gaze in her Master's direction, she stepped in front of him, staring down the slightly shorter demon. With venom in her voice, she crossed her arms, scoffing at her.
"That I did, sister. Not that it's any of your business. Keep your dirty mitts away from my Master. After all, you've got..." Looking over to Bethany for a moment, Leviathan shook her head. "...Not as much of a looker to serve."
Falling silent, she gave a small smirk, content with the defence she'd just given. After all, she didn't like others, particularly demons, vying for her Master's attention...
“If you stray on Ira, does it mean you’re following the wrong wrath.”
Kurasame trotted towards the location in mind. However, as he quickened his steps and balanced his body, one of the savage creature caught his cape. Thankfully, the nails were far too sharp and so instead of catching him in full, the fabric was stripped off of him and he was allowed to escape and thereby followed suit. Staggering as he did so, his eyes followed the course of the events and it appears they’re following the pair as expected and wanted. He hit the incoming targets with the arm’s length tree branch as he ran, some splatter of blood came across his armor and made a mess.
“Top side.” Used to commanding people, he declared which the other should look out for. “On your left! Three of them just a few meters away from you!” Arriving to the scorching pits would make all of these easier. They just have to kick these monsters and let them fall.
Events seemed to rush by before he could even blink. He barely caught sight of the beast clawing the other’s cape, him fending the creature off before he could even offer help. Well, he doubted that he’d even be able to provide much assistance, not with that many of them on their tail...
Not even taking a moment to verbally acknowledge his words, Hades shifted his gaze to the left, eyes widening. He certainly wasn’t joking! Even in the time he’d taken to glance over, those few metres had become more like a few inches.
“Shit.”
The curse left his lips before he could even think, feet harshly digging into the ground as he changed directions, flinging out an arm to help counterbalance his swift turn. It was just enough to stop him from falling, but not enough to stop one of the creatures from swiping at his extended limb, sharp nails slicing easily through uniform and flesh alike. A sharp hiss left Hades’ lips as his own blood was drawn. Yet it seemed that for once fortune was smiling upon him, as the creature didn’t manage to quite grab a hold of him, and merely clawed his arm.
Without wasting another second, he picked up his pace as much as he could, ignoring the pain as best as he could, and zigzagging his path in an attempt to avoid the pursuing Aswang. Determination flicking over his features, Hades kept his eyes focused on the volcanoes ahead. Yet for a split second he took his sights off of his surroundings, taking the moment to aim and let loose the rock he’d picked up at another of the beasts that had stormed too close for comfort to the both of them.
They had to reach their goal. Really, their lives literally depended on it at this point.
Soon enough they’ll come closer and they will be devoured if they don’t act. Lucifer was around and surely have heard what the plan was. Pretty brief, but there’s only so much people could do at a situation like this. Kurasame nodded in agreement and immediately grabbed a worn out tree branch on the ground. Not really helpful as a weapon, but as a distraction it could be something else. The Demon of Pride accepted this as a sign that they must begin and engaged in her Soul Form, actively seeking out the nearby creatures.
“I suggest we lure them towards the active volcanoes.” It would be a long walk, but the Demons could push these unknown beings into several boiling pits. There’s no telling what’s the effective method to use right now. “They move too fast. We really have no time to just remain here.”
Giving a brief command to his own demon, Leviathan also took her Soul form, following her sibling’s path in seeking the nearby creatures.
“Agreed.” Realising that they were running short on time before an inevitable attack happened, Hades cast crimson eyes to the floor, seeking a makeshift weapon for himself. There was little on the barren ground, but a rock caught his eye. In a pinch, the smallest of things may help, and so he picked it up, being sure not to spend too long with his sights far from the surroundings. “Then we must move.”
Without another word the God took a moment to nod at the other, before beginning to pace towards the volcanoes, hesitating for a mere second to ensure the other also set out on the move. After all, now they may have to spring into action at any moment...
“I suggest we also keep together, lest the worst occurs. If things become too dire however, endeavour to escape. There is no need for multiple deaths here.”
@unfortunateconstellations
“I opened my eyes and suddenly we’re surrounded by these hungry mutants.” It was lucky to bump into someone he’s acquainted with, or at least he believed he is. They’ve at least engaged a few times and that was enough for Kurasame to decide that he should help. They’re tribemates, are they not? Lending a hand to one another should be the key to finish this. “Let’s use our Demons together and ourselves as decoys. What do you say?”
“They certainly appeared out of no where.” Giving a curt nod of agreement to the man, Hades cast his gaze around, still rather taken aback by the sudden appearance of these creatures. During their rampage he hadn’t come across any of the others who occupied Ira, at least until this point. Whilst he still carried a strong dislike for engaging with people-this circumstance was dire. There was little chance that anyone could handle these beasts alone, and if there was some way he could aid his tribemates here, he would.
“The plan sounds viable.” Speaking up briefly, the God continued to scan his surroundings, cautious of a sudden attack. “If our Demons maintain their soul forms until we have provided an adequate distraction, it will lend us an element of surprise. We must act quickly however. From what I’ve seen- these beasts may have an advantage over us.”
@unfortunateconstellations said: Anyone from Ira online and willing to do Bestiary… {{i’M HERE but i also have to vanish for like a couple hours very soon but then like i’ll be back totally if you wanna do something!!}}
THAT’S FINE I’LL GET YOU SOMETHING SHORT AND YOU CAN REPLY WHENEVER
That sounds good!!! I won’t be able to reply for a bit like I said (I literally have to leave very shortly!!!) but then I’ll be able to hit up the responses quickly B) So that’s perfect!

@unfortunateconstellations:
A tiny speck of green in the harsh unyielding plains of red, and Dahlia turned to look closer, wondering what it could be. A tree in this burnt-out wasteland? It seemed unlikely. Twirling her parasol, Dahlia cast a glance at the figure trailing dutifully behind her.
“Lucifer–”
{ I am already on it, Mistress. }
She swallowed her distaste as the demon floated off to investigate. Useful as it was to have someone at her beck and call, she still had reservations. And who gave him permission to interrupt? She’d scold him properly when he returned.
Demons. Such willful creatures beneath all their obeisance. She was sure of it–
–meanwhile, Lucifer landed gracefully before the stranger and bowed politely.
{ Ah, hello. You don’t appear to be a demon of these lands. }
{ May I inquire as to your name? }
Rather taken aback by the man's sudden appearance, Hades took a step back, a scathing glare turning to the demon's form.
“Keep your distance!” The impulsive warning raced paced his lips, a hand raised to ward the other back. Whilst by now he was growing aware that engaging was essential- it was still a difficult concept for the God of the Underworld to grasp. Whilst he wished for isolation, that didn’t seem to be something he was going to be granted, particularly with his position. So he settled for conversation, and finding out about the others here- but he’d try to be cautious with forging close relationships. They were just something he couldn’t afford.
So, with a light exhale of breath, he turned to properly face the other, still maintaining a fair distance between them.
"No, I'm not a demon." He answered simply, giving a small nod to acknowledge that fact. "As for my name-"
Just as he was going to answer, he was rather abruptly interrupted by his own demon. Shifting from her soul form, to her physical one, Leviathan took a place before him, eyeing the other suspiciously. Whilst Hades himself had not entirely registered the man's demonic origins as potentially dangerous, his own demon certainly had- and now she was getting protective.
"Lucifer." She uttered simply, crossing her arms. "Is it wise for you to wander over here without your Master? Or are you attempting to snoop around for them?" Tone serious, she eyed him down.
Until Hades lifted his hand, putting it on her shoulder. Really he hadn't anticipated such a reaction from his demon but she did seem to... jump into things head first. Not uttering another word, he watched the other for a minute, trying to decipher his motives. After all, there were worst ways to be a threat, and being polite certainly wasn't one of them... Would someone even try to threaten the few people on their own island?
Sighing gently, the God finally piped up.
"My name is Hades Aidoneus." Came his simple answer, long green bangs falling to obscure his eyes. Revealing his identity would not be too dangerous. After all, if they were meeting on Ira, it meant that these were the people under his rule. They'd have to band together at some point, even if he'd loathe to. "Forgive Leviathan. Lucifer, would it be possible to arrange a meeting with your Master?"
“It appears as though Invidia was a walking time John.... We should have Cena this fate as inevitable. I hope that we all can find a valuable lesson here...”
frstrpr
These plants... they weren’t akin to anything he’d seen before. Of course they’d learnt somewhat about flora back in the academy... but nothing quite like this. Despite the barren, and desolate nature of this fiery land, they still grew, attached to many of the rocky outcrops. There was something oddly... captivating about that idea. The idea of beauty in chaos. Yet he kept his distance, fearful of the dangers such plants could bring. Who knew if they were poisonous? Becoming a victim of his own stupidity was something he wasn’t planning on doing.
So silently the God stood there, observing them with a peculiar interest. It was pleasant, the first time he’d really been able to steer clear of others. At least, it was until he heard the sound of footsteps- an unnerving idea when you were sure you were alone.
Pausing for a moment, he ducked behind some rocks- perhaps a few moments too late to not be seen. After all, he wasn’t so sure that he’d want anyone seeing him admiring plants after all. Quietly he called to Leviathan, who had been standing nearby, poking at the plants herself. Giving her a swift order to go and see who, or what, was approaching, he kept his hidden position. Whilst he wasn’t especially keen on using his demon like this, it was sometimes essential. He didn’t know what sort of beings lurked around this place, only having explored a fraction, and besides, being interrupted was hardly appealing either. Quickly she gave him an answer- a man with a covered mouth was approaching.
Could it be another resident of Ira?
Sighing softly, he peeked out around to see what was happening, only to catch sight of a man. Was this the stranger that he’d met earlier, the one who had little idea what a ‘pun’ was? He didn’t think that he’d mistake someone with such a distinguishing appearance. After all, he hadn’t met anyone else who covered their mouth in such a manner, let alone someone else who resided on this damnable island of Ira.
So keeping himself partially obscured by the rocks, he spoke up, swift and to the point.
“It seems that we meet punce more. Although I did not expect another to venture out so far in these barren lands.”
headatist
“Master, that man over there...!” Without much warning, his demon stopped mid-step, raising a hand to point at a nearby male. “Could that be the one you were speaking about earlier?”
Turning his gaze to follow where she was pointing, Hades himself paused, giving a slight nod. That certainly seemed as though it might be the fellow. Just earlier that day he had heard of an island, ruled by a male who demanded that no other, but himself, was allowed to wear the colour green. Whilst he couldn’t currently access that island, if there was a time in the future that he could, the God may run into problems. Problems that he should clarify as soon as he could.
Which was why he took a deep breath, pacing over to the stranger with a light scowl.
“Are you the one who leads Luxuria?” Keeping his voice stable, the God locked his sights on the green clad male, hoping he had the right man. “If so, I have a question for you.”
