It’s Mothra’s anniversary Birthday!
If I don’t reply or I take ages to:
It’s drafted
My mood doesn’t fit
I’m trying to equal your perfection
I’m brain-dead
I lost the reply
I’m easily distracted by something else
All/some of the above
burn me down to dust and ash
i will rise from the ruins you leave behind…
Note:
I apologize for the lack of activity, I haven’t been feeling too good, since half of my pet chickens were sick, and sadly they died.
aeneasmuses:
“Right?!” Ghidorah scoffed in the moth’s face. “Right or wrong has nothing to do with it!”
Mothra was livid, they could tell that much. Good~! She was so much more fun that way! So much more aggressive, so much more prone to making mistakes. But really, Ghidorah liked making Mothra this furious for one reason: it made the moth queen more like them.
What a self-righteous little insect she was! Oh, boo hoo! Morality, this! Coexistence that! As if she wasn’t one of the most powerful beings on this puny little rock!
“Do you know what the humans call you?” Ghidorah asked in a chuckling hiss. “Queen of the Monsters! No points on guessing who the alleged king is… Dwell on that with us, really dwell on it. Queen of the Monsters.”
Ghidorah gave the moth some slack, pulling back just enough that their left head could keep an eye on the queen’s stinger. They recalled how it put Rodan down in a single blow. The hydra themselves had actually been on the receiving end before. It hadn’t put them down immediately like poor, weak Rodan, but it wasn’t exactly pleasant. Not an experience that they wished to repeat.
Fiery orange met compound blue.
“Look at that…” Ghidorah murmured excitedly. “Do we detect a smidge of… is that hatred? And with that, you and us are not so different. That anger, that fury, that disgust, that hatred… That’s what makes us… us. And we bet that you would greatly enjoy tearing us limb from limb.
“You ask if we think that destroying Venus was right. Does it matter? We are a monster, Mothra. And so is Rodan. So is Godzilla. So are you. Crushing those beneath us is what monsters like us do! Even your so-called king understands that to a degree! You seem to be the only one who deludes themselves into caring about those simpering sentients that call this world home! You are not one of them, Mothra! You are above them! You are one of us!”
Their words echoed in Mothra’s mind, ‘Right or wrong has nothing to do with it!’ What did it really mean? Did Ghidorah truly not care about the repercussions of their actions? No, that couldn’t be it, they clearly enjoyed the senseless destruction and suffering they caused, yet it seemed like they thought it was their nature, their only choice. And they were trying to convince her that every titan, including herself should be that way. The kind of delusion that Ghidorah had, the distorted reality that existed in their mind, it truly was something else, if not lamentable. Ghidorah undeniably must live a miserable life if they considered that was what life was all about.
In their mind, if a creature had a great amount of power they should use it to beat others into submission, to prove their might and make them either perish or their servants.
They mentioned how the humans called her “Queen of the monsters” and gave the title of King to her ally, Godzilla. This didn’t bother her, after all, compared to them, the titans looked, for the lack of a better word, monstrous, they were fairly unique when compared to the rest of the animals on earth.
As she slowly calmed down, she sighed. “Humans tend to call creatures strange to them ‘monsters’, Ghidorah.” She paused. “It is but a word, and it depends on us to give it meaning, whether positive or negative.”
Gradually, the color of her bio-luminescence shifted from an orange-red to the more natural, relaxed tone of blue. “If one is more powerful than everyone else, one should use that strength to guide others, to protect them. For the benefit of all. To you, destroying Venus was neither good or bad, was it? It’s just what you do, you think it’s your purpose, but that’s where you are incorrect.”
She shifted her position, legs sprawling out once more, and she fluttered her wings, trying to shake off the stiffness on them. She took notice of how one of the heads seemed to be looking at her abdomen, specifically, her stinger. Not surprising, they were as wary of her as she was of them.
“Hatred? Oh no Ghidorah, I may be furious that you obliterated the life on Venus. But what I feel for you, is nothing but pity.”
😱 because why not
Mothra looked beneath her to see a robotic life-form of sorts, he appeared horrified.
She telepathically answered "Fear not, I am not here to harm anybody".
infinity-multi-muse:
“N… No, I’m not worrying about that,” Leo started to mention, before he quickly silenced himself again. He… Really didn’t want to bring his mother into his own worries, but, unfortunately, he felt like this was starting to get the feeling she won’t drop it. Especially if he tries to cover it up. There’s a long pause from the Divine Moth, before he lets out a defeated sigh, turning his head to the side because he doesn’t want to look her in the eyes. He might as well just rip the band-aid off right now. “I just…” Another pause. “Every single Male Moth before me has… Met terrible, awful fates. My brother, who I didn’t even know, had died. My uncle Battra, he went down a dark path. And, here I am, wondering and worried that… Maybe I’ll either die or… Or…” Leo can’t bring himself to finish the sentence. He was scared. Scared that he would become an enemy to his mother like his Uncle, or his possible sister! He doesn’t even know, and all of this weighs on his mind, at all times of the day! What is he to do? Fight destiny? There’s no possible way he could do that!
“I… I just… I don’t know if there’s anything I can do to stop it at this point, you know…?” He mutters.
She listened how her son finally opened up about his worries, at last telling her the truth about how he felt. He seemed ashamed of confessing. In his mind, it seemed as if male divine moths were cursed somehow, to either die or become like his uncle. Such fears were justified based on what he knew and his young age, but they were unfounded in Mothra’s mind.
“Oh Leo...” She started. “There’s no shame on being scared, the future is something you cannot predict, but you do not have to be afraid of death, or of turning into your uncle, you are your own self, and you are a wonderful son and protector of Earth.” As she uttered this last part, she approached her son by walking, and nuzzled his head. Antennae wiggling, she continued.
“You could never, ever turn out like your uncle did, you are too sweet for that. Just think about how Battra loathes humans, he wouldn’t hesitate to attack a human child, and a little bird told me after you defeated certain monster, you gave a ride to a couple of siblings, a girl and a boy, just for fun.” In reality, the ones that told her were her little messenger fairies, but that wasn’t important right now. “Besides, I would never allow you to die permanently, I would die myself first.”

REBIRTH OF MOTHRA III 1998 | dir. Okihiro Yoneda
deisbookofdemons:
“He never told me so I’m not sure. His State is filled with all kinds of crazy things. With how dangerous it is there I’ve rarely been there. Daytime doesn’t really exist there anymore…”
“Reason for that was some shenanigans with a reality bending device. The sun there was turned into a living being because of it and then killed. It was killed by that horrible mercenary by the way. Of course the former scientist told me all of this. He was there when it happened… the sun was killed just before he was killed and then revived as a zombie by the higher powers.”
It seemed as if the scientist possessed some kind of machine that allowed him to break the laws of physics. She didn’t know how it worked, but she knew it was dangerous for such a tool to exist. It managed to somehow turn the sun, a star, into a sentient creature, kill it, and then bring it back from the dead.
If this was left unchecked, there was the possibility of something much worse occurring to the world, or the entire universe. Mothra came to the conclusion that it would be best to meet with this scientist to settle things, of course, she wouldn’t fight him, unless it was absolutely necessary. “Maybe you could introduce me to the scientist, that way I can get to know him and the situation better.”
aeneasmuses:
What happened to Venus?
Each of Ghidorah’s heads widened in a serpentine smirk. Did the moth truly not know? It seemed that the so called goddess’s knowledge was indeed limited! Something that was further confirmed with how little Mothra knew about the energy source in the so called ‘Hollow Earth’.
A place of power and mystery. The realm that Ghidorah had been interested in for quite a long time. That their icy prison had been located so close to a portal to that inner world was not a coincidence. Their ancient nemesis, that damnable lizard, had stopped them in their tracks at the last mile.
“We razed it.” Ghidorah answered casually, blatant joy flickering through three pairs of blazing eyes of fire. “It was easy.”
As the hydra launched into their story, they approached Mothra slowly and methodically. Their necks writhed like snakes, ready to intertwine the Queen of the Monsters in their grasp.
“We landed in the middle of the night. They thought it was a hurricane at first, formed in their eastern ocean. But all too soon the Venusians realized their folly. For during our entry into the atmosphere we took down all their satellites and monitoring stations in orbit. Those ants… they were far more advanced than humanity is now. Weapons that could reduce mountains to rubble… On the verge of accomplishing interstellar travel…”
The forked tongue of the right head flicked out, as if tasting the air around the moth. Trying to taste their fear. Their rage.
“We snuffed them out, like so many others. Ensured that they could never reach the stars that was our domain. Our storms grew and grew and grew. Encompassed the entire planet, covered it while my majestic golden hue! The winds and floods and famine took care of most of them, but we took great pleasure in personally hunting down each and every one of those sentient lives… Oh, it took years, but years well worth it. So whenever you look up at the night sky and look at the Morning Star, remember… Venus is our handiwork. It is only as beautiful as it is because of US.”
Disgust. That’s all the giant moth could feel as she saw how Ghidorah grinned devilishly, recalling how they brought about the genocide of the people of Venus. She followed the movements of the heads as they circled around her, her eyes squinting while they surrounded her. Instinctively, she folded her antennae and crouched, adopting a defensive position to protect her thorax.
She was uncomfortable, she loathed how they enclosed her, their passage to her personal space. Mothra did not trust them, she was wary of what harm they could do. No matter how many times she was injured in battle or perished, it still hurt. One could get used to the pain of course, but that doesn’t mean she liked it.
Her wings stood still, in a vertical position, and the usually calm hue of blue that shined through the bio luminescent patches in her thick skin slowly faded to red, as the disgust she felt slowly turned into anger.
She knew how wicked Ghidorah was, but having the audacity, the bravado to not only relish on the atrocities they committed, but also rub it on her face, knowing how much it would sicken her, as a protector of life.
And they also claimed before how humans should be thankful, bow to them for what they did. As if without them, they would have accomplished nothing. If humans are one thing, they are perseverant, they persist in any climate on earth, and manage to pull through natural disasters. Sure, they are a young species, and still had a lot to learn, but Mothra knew it was unwise to underestimate any living being, even the smallest creatures, like the bees, had a role to play in the conservation of earth.
“You-” Her breathing turned heavy, as she tried not to burst with pure rage. “You truly do believe... that what you did was... right?” Her body started to vibrate slightly, she couldn’t recall the last time she felt this furious. But she couldn’t give in, this was what they wanted. They wanted her to lose it, to get all worked up, because upset creatures couldn’t take logical decisions, angry creatures made mistakes in the heat of the moment, they made impulsive choices.
Send 😱 to scream in terror at the sight of my muse!
deisbookofdemons:
“The zombies there exist because of science and the whole plan of their existence exist because of that cult leader I mentioned earlier. Even back when that cult leader was a scientist he sounds like he was crazy. Especially considering this plan. As for a cure… it’s possible for one to be made…”
“The former scientist was not brought back as zombie because of science, a bite, or because of somebody that can make zombies. According to him he was uh- revived as a zombie by what he calls… the higher powers. Like I said it’s rare for him to bite. If he does though there’s a chance he’ll turn into them the clown zombies. Ones that’ll only work for him. Apparently they’re easy to kill but- they have explosives tied to them. If someone kills one and doesn’t get away from the explosion it does a lot of damage to that person.”
Mothra was relieved to hear that a cure could be developed. Despite this, her unease remained. As a giant moth it was unlikely to say the least, that she could assist in the creation of a remedy, but she had to push for one, no matter what. Adding to her worry, was the scientist story, what kind of higher power did make him into a zombie? Was he even telling the truth? And they exploded?
“How is it that they can just, detonate? Is it some sort of innate defense mechanism or is it activated by him?” In spite of all her years of life, and all the stuff she had seen, this was just getting weirder and weirder. She was full of questions.

Me discovering a new cool rp blog I’d like to interact with but seeing they have “Selective/Mutuals only”:
aeneasmuses:
“Because of all the rivals to fight and destroy!” Ni declared immediately. “This world constantly allows us to prove our might!”
“It’s awfully pretty to look at.” San muttered meekly. “Have you seen it from the void of space? Looks like a little blue pearl.”
“We conquer this planet because we can.” Ichi commented casually, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. He shot a scathing glare at his younger brothers. They were revealing information too readily. It was not the moth’s right to know the exact why’s of their fixation on Earth.
The two heads, sufficiently cowed by their eldest brother’s glares and growls, turned their attention back to the queen before them. They were Ghidorah. They could bicker in private, but before an enemy they must show a united front.
“Time has little meaning to a being like us.” Ghidorah waved off Mothra’s comment. “We’ve flown through the void for eons at a time. You throw our many years of conquest in our faces as if that means something. It is nothing. A paltry sum in the grand scheme. If you want the truth, this planet means little to us. A mere rest stop after we did away with those peons on Venus.”
A lie. A very blatant lie. Oh, not the Venus part. That the second planet from this system’s sun was surrounded in an eternal storm with Ghidorah’s coloring was no coincidence. Truthfully, the ants on this world owed them. For if they hadn’t taken care of those upstart Venusians, then this remote rock would have been a colony. Humanity never would have gotten off the ground.
They should be bowing at their feet for that fact alone.
No, the lie was that the Earth meant nothing to the hydra. In fact, it meant quite a bit. Quite a bit indeed…
“…Though, it has come to our attention…” Ghidorah slyly continued. “That there’s been a… discovery of sorts recently. Some kind of… new energy source? Deep within the planet’s core. We would be… curious about that.”
Of course, Mothra should have seen this coming. It wouldn’t be easy to change the mind of such a self-centered creature. But she still hoped that they could be reasoned with, reach an agreement that benefits everyone. The right head seemed too aggressive to argue with, and the middle head, well, he was obviously not opening up just like that. Conquering it just because they can? No, everyone who wanted power had a reason behind it, including humans. However Mothra couldn’t help to smile (if one could call it a smile) by opening her palps, at the left head’s comment. Earth was indeed a beautiful planet, at least he could appreciate its natural beauty.
Looking at San, she responded “This planet is certainly a gorgeous one, isn’t it? This is why I believe it is the responsibility of everyone who lives on it...” or wishes to live on it, she thought “...To take care of it, and respect the other species’ presence.”
But what did Ghidorah mean by ‘what they did to those peons on Venus’? For millions of years, Mothra has been looking up at the skies of Earth, during the night. The stars were after all, an exquisite sight to behold. The different constellations, and stardust, which formed abstract shapes were almost, magical, and one could observe the other planets, at least most of them. Venus, ‘the morning star’ was one of those that could be seen from Earth, often it appeared as if it was in proximity to the moon, and shone brightly every morning. She never noticed anything strange on it, but Venus was still very far away from Earth after all. Were there living beings on it? Did the three headed dragon cause their extinction?
If the so called ‘morning star’ had once a civilization, and its destruction, along with the incredibly high temperatures on it were caused by Ghidorah, she had to know for sure. Her whole demeanor changed from one of joy to concern. “What did happen on Venus, Ghidorah?”
There was also the issue of the ‘new energy source’. In all honesty, Mothra didn’t know too much about it. It was found on the hollow earth, and it seemed as Kong’s axe could be powered from it, but that’s all she truly knew. In all honesty, back when the war between Godzilla’s species and Kong’s was still raging, the energy source was the least of her concerns. Back then, just like now, she was more interested in making peace, even though technically she was on Godzilla’s side, she didn’t like the idea of two species destroying each other.
“I’m afraid I do not know much about the energy source.” She confessed. “It is very rare material or so I heard.” In actuality, she didn’t want to tell them where it was found. Mothra knew Ghidorah could gain extra power from electricity, as they has done before in the battle of Boston, if they got hold of this power source, she had no idea of what could happen.
Rebirth of Mothra II (1997)
deisbookofdemons:
Hmmm… right… giant moth. Kind of hard to watch movies. They had mainly been a movie thing until he met the former scientist. So it makes sense that she wouldn’t know what they are.
“They often have green skin. They’re uh- people that were revived from the dead. They usually lack intelligence and only want to eat people and spread their existence. They’re contagious so if a zombie bites a person that person is turned into a zombie. Thankfully they’re slow but they’re harder to kill. Aiming for the head is the effective way to kill them. That former scientist is a rare one. He still has his intelligence, he’s speedy, and he rarely bites people.”
From what Charles described, these creatures, the zombies, were similar to a plague, except it somehow managed to bring back humans to life, but they came back wrong, being a parasite-like being, only interested in spreading the disease further. This wasn’t good. Such an infection could bring the end of humanity. She had to learn more about this.
“How is it that the scientist became immune to some of the symptoms?” To say that Mothra was concerned would be an understatement, she was alarmed. “Are you certain that this scientist will not make others contract the Zombie illness? Do you know if there’s a cure for those recently bitten?”
