Honestly, I don’t know where to turn to. Lately, I’ve had this sudden urge to cry. I’m sad and I can’t explain why. If I reach out to friends or family, it’s the first thing they’ll ask is why. There is no reason for the overwhelming sadness. I just feel it. I’m drained. I honestly don’t want to do anything. I don’t want to feel sad anymore. I just want to sleep and never wake up. I know that I could never leave my family or friends... I just want peace right now. I keep reminding myself that this will pass. It just keeps getting harder. I’m hoping if I just write this out, I’ll feel better and won’t feel so alone

Last year, The HRC (Human Rights Campaign), reported that in 2019 alone, at least 26 trans and gender nonconforming people were killed in the United States alone. Disproportionately, Black trans people were the victims. Those I have illustrated here, do not even scratch the surface of what is, and should be recognised as, an epidemic. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we do whatever we can to support the black trans community.

i think there is something indescribably beautiful about the fact that art, in all its forms, lasts longer than we do. you will never read all the books or hear all the songs, watch all the movies or see all the paintings, but there is comfort in knowing that there is always something more out there. even if you'll never get to experience it.

the world is infinite, even if we are not. never think that you should stop searching because "there's nothing to discover anyway". make the most of your limited time in this wonderful, cruel world, because one day you'll be gone. and when you leave, you shouldn't regret what you didn't experience. instead, be grateful for the things you did experience. the books you read, the paintings you looked at, the movies you saw- all of them and more added a little piece in the complicated puzzle that is you.

never regret. instead, remember. and love (love even what you didn't get to experience).

you can wonder about who you could've been, but remember to appreciate who you became, too.
