I'm getting my spine injections in an hour, and will need to pick up some meds that my pain clinic doctor is trying out for me, that hes really hopeful about, but they are not covered by my insurance (ODSP is a hater) and I was warned that they will come out to $60CAD. A woman made a TikTok video after stepping into her boyfriend’s garage to get some air during a panic attack and finding all the doors were padlocked shut from the inside, barricaded with the windows blacked out with cardboard. She was like “Is this a red flag? Is this weird? I can’t trust my instincts because I have C-PTSD.” and all of the men in the comments were ripping her to shreds and saying she’s just insecure. Meanwhile, a little while back my friend Alaa was talking about "the best Italian restaurant in Gaza!", how everyone knew it; it was run by these two brothers who had migrated from Italy, what an experience it was, how on social media everyone was begging them for their recipes, that they had the best pasta sauces ever, that she was always recommending it and wanted everyone to be able to try it...

...and then finished with "but then of course the occupation bombed the restaurant with the entire family inside and they were all killed".

She's now working on a site dedicated to showing all the important little local places in Gaza that no longer exist—partly so that her own children can know them, and partly so they cannot be completely erased by the occupiers.

She's also working on this project, again to preserve the culture and history that the occupation is trying to wipe out, taking up the lead on this after her teacher Dr. Refaat Alareer (now most-known to English-speakers for his "If I must die" poem), who had started the project, was killed by the occupiers.

Perhaps this will be thought of as being too woke but it's really discouraging that people are constantly inventing new reasons to think of people with slow reaction times or who misunderstand instructions as evil or idiotic or soulless. Like complaining about older people having a blank stare while they try to process what the barista said or whatever. Oh, they have the evil bad people lead poisoning. They're brain damaged. They have Facebook brainrot. They're NPCs, whatever, etc. As someone with bad sensory processing from psychosis and ADHD (you people can't do anything haha I know omg disabled person is disabled) I so often end up lagging there trying to understand what I'm supposed to do. I have trouble reading the instructions on the keypad, I have trouble processing the push or pull on the door, I have trouble processing the words being said to me and following instructions. You can still think I'm a piece of shit customer and that's fine but going online and seeing people act like this behavior makes you subhuman and non-concious is soooo depressing

There are so many situations in our world where if you suggest someone might have a somewhat sympathetic reason for acting in a strange way, people get extremely mad that you've taken away their favorite inherently evil demographic and start acting like you're the bad one. "Don't pathologize everything" you're pathologizing it in different words, you just don't like the words that make them seem like human beings with internal logic

My abuser is pulling some stuff and keeps threatening me with disconnecting my phone (I pay my monthly phone bill and have for years and years, but my phone and plan is in his name)

July 6th, I have to give my phone back to Roger's and buy a new one. So this is a good time for me to get my phone stuff for my fiance and I, both under my own name.

I have everything all ready to go, but I'm $60 cad short to be able to do it as soon as tomorrow, and I dont receive my disability cheque for another 2 weeks.
