Amulet: A special charm worn on the person it was specifically designed for
Anointing: Act of blessing, protecting, or fortifying an individual using a type of specialized oil
Blessing: Covers a variety of processes, carrying out a ritual, cleanse, or spell that brings luck and good fortune
Bottle Tree: A dead tree covered in colourful bottles believed to ward off evil spirits and negative energy
Cold reading: Following a pre-defined set of steps to find out hidden or mysterious details about a person
Condition Oils: spiritually charged oils that are prepared to address very specific problems
Crossing and uncrossing: crossing is spiritual works that cause harm or bad luck, while uncrossing reverses it
Crossroads: Place of great energy and spiritual power
Curse: special kind of spell or ritual cast to cause a specific form of harm to a person
Divination: spiritual information gathering process
Dressing: the application of conditioning oil onto the surface of inanimate objects that are relevant to a ritual or spell process
Feeding: When conditioning oils are specifically applied to a mojo bag
Foot Track Magic: Throwing powders and gris gris in the path of a targeted person. Basically a type of curse
Gris Gris: Originated in Voodoo, a powerful charm prepared by combining several sacred objects into a flannel bag and then supercharging the bag contents with spiritual powers
Hand or mojo hand: a mojo or conjure bag, a collection of spiritually significant objects to which supernatural powers have been bound to get certain specific effects
Haint: a ruthless, unforgiving evil spirit that can be unleashed on an enemy to chase them to their deaths
