Although Kid keeps shooing the cat away, claiming he doesn’t want the trouble and people might hurt you for associating with me, the cat keeps coming back and Kid keeps buying cat food even though he barely has the money to eat himself… Kid finds the cat a warm presence, talks to it, and says “good night, until tomorrow” before falling asleep. At the same time, Law wants to tell Kid that if you were a demon, can a black cat like me stays by your side? But he also keeps thinking, Good night, maybe (I’ll tell you) tomorrow…

In episode 3 you know in what would have made the scene with Charlie inviting the Vees over a little better?

When AD sees the Vees in the hotel Charlie has an immediate “Oh shit…” realization and scrambles to apologize to him.

Vox seizes this opportunity to put Angel dust on the spot and volunteers him for the demonstration.

Charlie contemplates this earnestly since he has shown the most improvement. This causes the Vees to erupt in laughter as they denounce him as a lost cause, listing off his various vices.

AD feels demoralized and Charlie gets defensive on his behalf. Letting her emotions get the better of her she encourages AD to prove them wrong.

AD is reluctant but with some gentle coaxing from Husk he decides to give it a try.

Charlie is still in the wrong for thoughtlessly inviting the Vees over and pressuring Angel to perform in front of them. But by having Vox be the one who volunteers AD, Charlie’s motivation is now not just promoting her hotel but also to defend her friend from ridicule.

I sincerely don’t mind Charlie having flaws but if the show was going to go this route it would have helped if it focused more on moments of Charlie personally helping AD with his struggles to sort of off set all the times she’s fucked up with him.

God, this really would have been such a simple fix!
