I think I'm done watching the stereotypical romance. I don't want to see hot, funny people fall in love, I know that already exists.

Give me uncool nerds and charming losers. I am looking for sweet and yearning romances from now on.

I like that in Order of the Phoenix, Ron constantly defended Sirius from Hermione’s criticism right alongside Harry and understood what it was like for him to be trapped at Grimmauld Place. Even though Ron himself had never experienced anything like that, he understood — and, more importantly, didn't judge Sirius for it. And, by the way, he also sympathized with him back in Goblet of Fire, when Sirius had to eat rats for Harry’s sake.

Maybe Hermione understood Cho Chang’s psychology, but Ron understood Padfoot.

It’s pretty ironic that in the situation with Sirius, Hermione sides with Mrs. Weasley, considering that Sirius always treated Hermione kindly (including when the newspapers were claiming she had broken Harry’s heart), unlike Molly, who acted pretty low toward her in that same situation.

You know, I wonder if Ron seeing the bars on Harry's window at Privet Drive had an influence on how he later saw Sirius, trapped in a home he hated. We know Harry saw the similarities, but it's only just now struck me that Ron (and the twins) might've as well.

I just want to add that Ron's "you can't feel that all at once, you'd explode" is vastly misunderstood.

Hermione saw patterns and facts, some of which Ron and Harry weren't completely aware of : Cho had dated Cedric, Cho hadn't been crying only the day she kissed Harry but was constantly crying, she wasn't doing well Quidditch-wise... From that she deduced what Cho must be feeling. It was a very analytical breakdown.

Now Ron he heard all that, and immediately grasped what it must feel like. He understood what feeling overwhelmed felt like, because that's what Cho was experiencing : an overflow of strong emotions. Anyone who's actually been in Cho's situation or something similar gets what Ron was saying. Cho was exploding, and Ron got it.
