No offense i didnt spend my entire childhood being made fun of for my interests, fear judgement all the way through my teens and early adulthood, and learn to love what i love free of shame so I could be made to feel bad for enjoying something harmless because “the fandom ruined it/made it cringey”
"Is it a safe space to say i hate-" NOT IN THE MAINTAGS IT ISNT

Coffee break sketch! Val came to Vox’s studio to chat with him during a break between shoots <з
I’ll never get over how the vees have expressed their hatred for old and outdated stuff so many times and yet valentino keeps this old ass picture of him and vox

SALIVATING at the idea that in future seasons, when Alastor is truly off his rocker and just going apeshit destroying Hell, they need to find a way to stop him so they go to the person who knows him the most.
We the audience expect it to be Rosie or Mimzy, but no.
They go to Vox.
We really need to talk more about how comfortable Velvette is around Valentino. In half the merch she's sitting on his lap. This isn't a dynamic of "Yeah, I'll snap his neck if he tries anything", Velvette trusts that Valentino won't make it weird.
Velvette is half Valentino's height, most likely has less souls since she's the newest Overlord so she's "weaker", and we've seen Valentino tanking insane blows and barely flinching. If he wanted to, he would. He doesn't. And Velvette knows he won't. There isn't a spec of tension between them.
I love their friendship so much, they are so besties, my heart cannot take it!
Listen to me. No I need you to actually LISTEN to me, look me in the eye and understand what I am saying. If we are trying to have a conversation about the topic of redemption and you enter the conversation with the intent of stubbornly holding onto the notion that “Yeah but [so-and-so] is too evil to ever be redeemable” any attempts at further discussion are pointless. The conversation is dead and you killed it before it even began.
By the very definition of “redemption”, it always starts out as something that you do not inherently deserve, but it is something you must actively choose and work for. If you cling to the idea that certain actions are unforgivable no matter what the offending party does, there is no hope. For ANYONE. If you try to draw an arbitrary line in the sand between crimes that are forgivable and crimes that are not, you are doomed to constantly trip over that line and move it back and forth depending on whatever narrative is most comfortable for you to accept. You aren’t actually prepared to have a conversation about redemption because in your eyes only certain people deserve to even have a chance at it.
So take that belief, ball it up, and throw it away so we can actually maybe have a nuanced discussion about human morality. Otherwise, fuck off.
Just gonna put my two cents in - I like to believe redemption is totally possible for anyone. As long as they truly belive in redemption and actively work towards improving themselves, I think it is totally possible. That's the entire point of the show. (Even if people don't want to believe that).
I feel like people want to give Angel a pass because it will probably be a "self defense" or "escaping his abusive father" narrative. However, in this context, murder is still murder. If Angel can be redeemed after he murdered someone regardless of how bad that person is, then anyone else who commits such a crime should have the ability to be redeemed.
While I believe any character COULD be redeemed, I think it would be rather unfair to those abuse/murder victims who ended up in heaven.
Imagine seeing your abuser in heaven. The person who tortured you and took your life ends up in the same place as you? That shit would suck. Your own little personal Hell in Heaven.

SPRAY HIM WITH THE SPRAY BOTTLE
Vox in his magical girl era
I love that Val seemed genuinely happy in thinking Vox was going to apologize for the insulting remark he just made/say something sweet or encouraging before going onstage only to have it turn to anger as he gets told to stay back with the obvious lie it's to make sure nothing goes wrong. That last expression from Val is just too funny though with that "v" mouth of his and how that look is riddled with skepticism. XD XD XD
Also, Val does look great in that outfit. ;)
Of course Vox taught them how to do the Lindy Hop and Chalypso
Maybe a controversial take, but I truly love the way Valentino is portrayed. Love it.
We see him from different perspectives and I think it's so important to have this type of representation. I don't see it done often or well.
Val is an abuser. He is a rapist and murderer. He is very clearly not a good soul. They make this incredibly clear in season 1. We see him from Angel's perspective. He's mean, ruthless, and scary. He is what everyone thinks of when you use the word rapist or abuser.
However, in season 2 we get to see a softer and silly side to Val. We see him vulnerable. They humanize him. Which is extremely important because abusers in real life are not one dimensional.
Abusers can be soft, caring, funny, silly, and sad. They can be charismatic or attractive. They can love you and also abuse you in more ways than one can imagine.
Abuser's victims know this. I think that's why the majority of people who like Valentino (from what I have witnessed) are abuse victims themselves.
We as abuse victims have seen both sides up close. Abusers can be wonderful and make you feel like you're on top of the world. They can make you feel like you found true love, and they can also steal the light from your eyes, make you dependant on them so they can keep you in their grasp so they can continue their cycle of abuse.
You can experience this
While also experiencing this
With the same person. The same individual but different sides.
People are not one dimensional. Neither is this character. Valentino is written so realistically it is so refreshing to see. He's not just evil and deviant. He's got so many different sides to him and I can't wait to see more.
Anyway. I'll keep this short.
TLDR; I enjoy the moth man
When Vox proposes his initial heaven plan, Valentino asks how will we get up there though and is never actually answered. I wonder if he was like "I can't fly that high", he's the only one of them that can consistently fly and is probably considering it very reasonably as a problem.
