12 | Final Pitching
In this week we spent most of our time to brainstorm for the revision of our pitch deck proposals with respect to the corrections of our panel from the previous pitch deck session. We added informations and some upgrade on our product through the feedbacks we gathered from our individual interviews. This time we made sure that all the suggestions and informations we had were being properly applied for the betterment of our start up business.

11 | Final Preparation Preparation
This week we continued to conduct few interviews to finalize our products and summarizing some inputs we gathered from the feedbacks of our interviewees in preparation to our up coming pitching. We prepare as much as we could to improve our concept by making our product feasible to the panel and brainstorm on how we will be able to compete to the market.

10 | Aiming for Improvements
As a beginner in the business industry, it is important that we should always seek for more and more learnings in order to provide greater service in our products. Striving through improvements and upgrades from time to time should be constant and in order to come up such great ideas, we should conduct some more data gathering to be able for us to gain new perspective for our business.
Throughout this week, our team discussed thoroughly on how we could improve our start up idea. From time to time, we aimed to continue to update our plans regarding on how the business operation will be excecuted in order to trace the possible lapses of our initial plans. We conducted interviews and consultations individually to our target market as well as our families and friends to ask for an honest feedback about our product quality, design and price in order for us to understand new insights and develop further improvements to our start up product. We also addresses some concerns about some common problems they encounter in connection to our product for the reason that we aim to fullfill our goal to give solution to the common problems of our target market. We also assessed the scope of our market and how we can reach out to them, but also considering the limitations since we are still a start up.
Considering our current status in business, based on some of the feedbacks we accumulated, we totally understand some disagreement and rejection our product received. Because of that reason, we take it as a challenge for us to strengthen our marketing strategy to convince and educate our potential customers with the advantages of our product and how it is much better than the conventional hollow blocks. Therefore we have to give more focus on our product promotion and we should introduce it in an educating manner, highlighting the benefits of fiber reincforced paver blocks.

9 | Lecture Series
Through facebook live, We participated in a series of lecture regarding on how we might be able to grow our start up business. We learned various ideas and insights that will probably help us to have better plans, building those plans and measure the results of our business ideas.
On the first lecture, the host takes the company of Doordash as a best example of successful business. To summarize there are three things that we learned based on their experience.
1. Test Hypothesis
2. Launced fast
3. Do things that don’t scale
We should consider our start up ideas as an experiments, it should consist many trials in order to prove those hypothesis. It is an essential move to test the competitiveness of your product by receiving feedbacks from your costumers. If you have a certain solution to a particular problem it is much better if you launch directly your services. Although it is perfectly unappealing at first, however, improvements will be made thoughout the process. Lastly, Doing things that don’t scale is still good, it is one of your greatest advantages to figure out how does it build up once you have your demand.
On the second lecture, The host presented some ideas about The lean Start-up and MVP. The lecture started by explaining the Build-Measure-Learn Feedback Loop as shown in the figure:
This loop is a perfect representation on what is really like in starting a business, we should plan some ideas, build those ideas that we come up, measuring the results of our hypothesis and learn through feedbacks that we cou ld come up to further improve our built products.
So what is an MVP?
Minimum viable product is a development technique in which a new product or website is developed with sufficient features o satisfy early adopters. The final, complete set of features is only designed and developed after considering feedback from the product’s initial users.

It is essential to build an MVP for the reason that it allows your team to validate or invalidate product assumptions and learn how your target users react and experience your product’s core functionality. It will provide insight into properly allocating your budget to satisfy your overall business objectives. It also allow you to learn more about your end user and the market you wish to enter as you test your assumptions. Lastly it is used to showcase business potential and win stakeholder buy-in.

8 | PITCH DECK
This week is the time that we will present our start up product to the panelist through a 5 min pre-recorded video. This video contains pitching that is presented by Miss Rufiel Arancon and a short demo of our Coco Blocks. All necessary informations were thoroughly discussed in order to give good impression to the panelist and to give insights on how we view our product. AMAPEYA COMPANY is very passionate about our Coco Blocks for the reason that we believe that it can compete with the other conventional paver blocks. We are grateful that the pitching runs smoothly and lucky to have a considerate panelist who gave a lot of good comment and recommendation about our start up product in which we can use to our future pitching.

7 | Preparation for Pitch Deck
AMAPEYA COMPANY allocated this whole week to the finalization of our product in preparation for our Pitch Deck next week. The group decided to change the name of our start-up product from Coconut Fiber Paver Blocks to Coco Blocks to make it simple, catchy and easy to remember. In order to make the pitching possible, the group prepared accurate datas and informations as listed below:

6 | Business Model Canvas
As as we are already aware of the basic informations about our start-up, we are able to go through the depts of our product by creating a business model to plan out easily our operations. Business model is a plan for the sucessful operation of a business, identifying sources of revenue, the target market, costumer base, products, and details of financing. In able to simplify the details of the business plan, Business Model Canvas provides us a way to create a clear business model using just a single sheet of paper. It is easy to understand, focused, shows connection and very flexible.

5 | Start-up Idea Finalization
As soon as the final product has been decided, it is the time to start an extensive research about the chosen start up. In this step you will be refining revising and finalizing your product or service ideas by identifying strength, weaknesses and other basic informations of the start-up idea.
In gathering for basic informations, it is best to begin with defining the exact scope of target market and key resources. Identifying the target market is an essential step for any company in the development of a marketing plan. They are the one to whom a company wants to sell its products and services so it is important to define the consumers that makes up the target market to be able have an idea on how to make the marketing plan possible. The next thing you need to define are the key resources of the company. It is important to identify detailed financial and physical assets required on a company to make the business work and to have a clear data on the company's assets to know the prior investments needed.
In our case, since our company choose to develop Coconut Fiber Paver Block. We made sure to identify the scope of possible target market our product would have in order to make it convenient for us to market our product.
Focusing in Region 10, where we could market our product, the data showed that there are at least 222,000 households with the minimum Php250,000 annual income plus 150, 000 households from the higher class who could possibly purchase our product based on the income range that we considered. The number is not limited to the given data because households of the lower class could still purchase our product.
We are also able to identified the key resources of our company starting from, the location we planned to our office and production to base, down to the supplies that are needed for our products.
We are able to break down our possible starting expenses and were looking for possible investors.

Decision making is crucial when it comes to business for the reason that it is not always about dealing with income and profits. Products should be well decided since it reflects the quality, reliability and trustworthiness of the company. It is vital that the organization should undergo vigorous product assessment to validate certain decision and to weigh your products capacity of fullfilling the needs of the people, the investors and the company itself.
It is given that the company could come up as many ideas as they could hence with the help of the intense assessment of datas that you gather, the team could possibly make efficient decision in choosing an idealized product to develop. Among the 3 ideas we came up with, we believe that this particular product is potentially marketable and fits perfectly through the aesthetic needs of our target costumer in various aspect like residential or even public works and establishments. Having good reviews and feedback from our interviewees, our goal is to meet the expectations of our target investor for the success of our product innovation.

In starting a business journey, It is better if you come up with as many ideas as you can where you will be able to brainstorm with your business associate. These individual ideas might help in order to build up a perfect product that you and your partners might agreed on after several disagreement.
In our case, we named our company AMAPEYA Co. with a tag line "dream builders" it is a start up company specialising in civil engineering in fullfillment. As we start our business planning saga, we came up with 3 best ideas based on all sources we could have. It includes as follows.

3.Hollowblocks with expanded
polystyrene wastes
As of this week we are still finalizing our ideas by choosing for the best product to decide with the help of our instructor in this particular course. As we wait for the consultation, the day we present our plans and ideas, all we have to do is to strengthen our goals and brainstorm on how we could make our products feasible to our target investors.
It is essential to develop teamwork and understanding within the company in order to build harmonious relationship that could reflect to the plans for the success of the organization.
