whats your opinion on esperanto?

i think its great that a large community has formed around it. for western european language speakers there are tons of grammatical features that will be familiar, not to mention the largely romance vocabulary, which obviously biases ease of access towards europeans (=its eurocentric). outside of europe, however, its unfair to ask anyone to learn it as an international auxiliary language. if you’re going to have a globally-spoken auxlang it should be equally accessible for everyone and not based on any one geographical area -- it must be politically neutral, have an easy-to-understand phonology, morphology, syntax, pragmatics, etc... parts that appeal to the abilities of the majority of people on earth. i think analytic languages closer to that of chinese or english are much easier to learn for everyone (consider the common traits of pidgin languages!), which is why toki pona is clearly the best auxlang lol
