A venture into Whitehcapel to pick up a new dress she could only get from the seamstress here, Lucinda Holmes, wife of the famous detective- was wandering aroundā¦
((For madamsusanhart))
Susan couldnāt help but laugh a little.
"Oh no no dear. Not guests." She paused to think for a moment.
"Clients," she said simply. "They wonāt even know youāre here. Too busy."
"Clients?" she said "Oh- thatās understandable. My husband has clients a lot. His crime solving abilities call people from all over." she smiled, still having not twigged to the business of Tenter Street.
"At least thatās okay" she smiled.
The woman seemed friendly, they could talk over tea.
Susan opened her mouth to correct Lucy on the clients, but thought better of it. It was bad enough that Reid and his team were always in her business. She didnāt need any more blues hanging around. The firm seemed nice though.
"Come. Sit." She said gesturing a gloved hand toward the plush couch.
As she was told to sit down, she did so, brushing stray strands of hair away from her face. She just smiled. āOf course, your clients probably arenāt looking for help in a crimeā The girl wasnāt as dumb as she seemed.
"My clients are getting all the help they need," she said with a snicker, sitting across from Lucinda and smiling. "So you are Mr. Holmes wife, correct? Must be exciting."
"Thatās nice" she said, before nodding "Thatās right. The infamous Sherlock Holmes. Itās exciting yes- but also dangerous" she said with a small smile. "I have to pretend I donāt know him in some situations"
"Be careful. Here in Whitechapel, the tabloids can be vicious. If a certain Fred Best wants t speak with you, do not agree to it."
"Ah Miss...Rina, is that right? It has been much too long."
"Indeed!" She beamed. "Travelling does put you out of touch with people. How are we, Ms Hart?"
"Wonderful," she smiled, putting the matches away. "Itās about time I had some down time with such delightful company."
"I see you have mastered flattery in your time," she said with a chuckle. "So tell me, how have you been."
"You say that like youāre surprised⦠Iāve been extremely well. Spent some more time in Asia, which was fantastic⦠Managed to chew my way through a fair few people. And how about you, my dear?"
"I too have been well. Came into money around the same time my piggish landlord came to his untimely demise. I suppose it doesn't get much better than that."

His voice in my ear. It did interesting things to me. It curved my back and parted my lips. I felt lazy and feline, and he wasnāt even in the room.

Iām doing a little test to prove to my friend that most RPers donāt get offended or take it personally if threads get dropped and understand that muses can be fickle or you lose the feel of a thread and thatās okay.
