Hey, I'm Wednesday. I've always loved dolls but didn't start avidly collecting until about 3 or 4 years ago. My main doll obsessions are Bratz, Monster High, and Ever After High. This blog focuses on anything and everything about them.

Music Festival Sasha

Is SO confusing. Okay, so she has a really FAB set of clothing pieces (ugh that skirt yas mama) and I love how realistic it is compared to like SA wave 2 which is very kiddy and not my fave. The clothes so far for this line are amazing. But WTF at the rest? She’s got the 2015 screening with SS Sasha’s makeup and new eyebrows. Boring. Why couldn’t she have the 2016 screening at least? Ugh. First I really liked the 2015 faces but I have so many of the ‘15 dolls and now it’s getting repetitive (like it wasn’t before lmao) and with the recycled makeup just, no. I love her hair too, so it’s a shame. We’re done with those faces. get rid of them. I never want to see a doll with that screening again. ALL of her plastic pieces are recycled. I don’t mind re-used jewelry but pick something you haven’t already redone and make it a different color at least, and pick a different phone case. Sigh. I really encourage the re-use of shoe molds in new colors and skin tones but oh my God, WHY did they pick that one. It’s the ugliest open-toed shoe of the season.   Her feet look like play-doh.  Overall disappointed. I love the direction they’re going in with the clothes in this line but they’re basically fashion packs for the other 2016 dolls RN. Since this is only the second wave of dolls since the relaunch and they can’t realistically put our criticism to use until probably mid 2016-early 2017 I’m REALLY praying we get better faces and better jewelry choices. In the least I hope the Jade/Raya dolls this season slay because I need more girlz with Vee’s face.

I totally agree with you Sasha slays, but tbh I thought it was a 2k15 line because of that screening..merp… I’m glad they finally made the HMNI beanie for her, I really love her second outfit and those huge hoops. But my only thing I want from these dolls right now is different lip stick colors, Im fucking sick of seeing all the shades of pinks and reds, I want blue and black and more purples, I’m just sick of pink (also they need to fix that discolored skin tone with the shoe thing they have going on rn, like MM Raya’s feet are literally orange lol)

Gah, the shoe thing! MM Yasmin and Raya’s feet look horrid. I think MFV Sasha’s shoes are the same way and I hate it. And I agree about the lipstick colors. It adds way more variety.

Is there a good way to remember to take your meds? I keep forgetting to take my morning meds and it’s not good for my mental health (and physical health).

I’ve tried those little bottles, writing reminders, my parents have started putting a plastic bag on my door and it still skips my mind.

Shoutout to the bisexuals and pansexuals, to the genderqueer and trans folk who will be completely erased from the media’s coverage of the marriage equality decision in the United States, even if it means that you will be able to marry your partner when you couldn’t before. You don’t deserve to be erased from something you want to celebrate.

Shoutout to the folks for whom this decision does basically nothing. Shoutout to the trans women of color who experience incredibly high rates of violence and who will probably face the brunt of the backlash to the decision from straight people. We will not ignore you. We will not silence you. We will not forget you.

The movement for equality is FAR from over. Celebrate if you want to celebrate, but listen to the voices of those who are not celebrating.

Newest Bratz!

I bought Twiinz Roxxi and Rock Angelz Yasmin as a lot and Sasha by herself. I actually already have Roxxi; I was just going for Yasmin. I don’t have her other outfit though. The shoes are 2010 basic red heels in the Cloe/Jade/ect. skin tone.

Now I have 3 Rock Angelz Bratz and two of them have tattoos! This time I actually saw the top of the lighting bolt peaking out from under her pants so I went for her, which is why I ended up with Roxxi too. The tattoo looks a little faded though, unfortunately.

I found my RA Sasha in thrift store, I was so happy. Until I figured out she was missing SO MUCH. She did come with clothes though (no leather jacket)

She’s still hard to find in general, so finding her in a thrift store is pretty amazing. Mine never seem to have anything good.

These are promos for the 2013 Bratz Holiday dolls and Twisty Styles dolls. Guess who was never released? Sasha. MGA has been giving Sasha the short end of the stick for quite a while. That Holiday Sasha is the best looking one in the line, if you ask me. She’d have been the only one I bought. The Twisty Styles Sasha looks great too (though I like Jade as well). But, MGA decided to show us these wonderful Sasha dolls, and then say, “nah, we’re scrapping them.” Wth, MGA?

Not to mention she was pretty much always released after the other dolls in every line. Are they trying to say black dolls won’t sell so there is no point in releasing her with the rest of the dolls? That’s a pretty horrible message to send. Honestly, it makes them look hypocritical. They can’t boast diversity then treat their main black doll like this. Since she was released later than all the other dolls, more often than not she was pretty hard to find. I don’t think I ever saw Neon Runway Sasha or Heartbreakerz Sasha in stores. Though, Strut It Sasha was a shelf warmer, but that’s because she was kind of an unappealing doll. They either made her dolls amazing, but distributed them horribly, or made her dolls pathetic so they ended up shelf warmers. 

I love Bratz, but I can’t support this kind of racist behavior. If MGA doesn’t stop giving Sasha the short end of the stick, they’re doomed.

It’s not MGA tho. If they didn’t like Sasha, their own creation, they wouldn’t design her! It’s the retailers who force her into a separate assortment and then pass on ordering her who should be receiving all of the racism complaints. Bratz has a store request form on their Facebook page for fans to send in to stores. That’s really the most they can do about it.

And just for the record, that Twisty Style photo is a fan pic and that’s isn’t TS Sasha. We still don’t really know what she would have looked like other than her art and a very small prototype, sadly!

Good, spread the word! For years now people have been yelling at MGA for something they absolutely agree with us on - WHY would they willingly waste money and time on a character that they “don’t like”…?

This post is from quite a few months ago, if not more. I've learned since then that retailers are the ones that have influence over what happens to Sasha. It makes sense that MGA wouldn't cast one of the main Bratz aside, especially after creating prototypes of her. It's a waste of effort and money. I'm still learning about how the toy industry works. I've always loved dolls, but I don't know as much about how things like distribution and prototypes work. And I didn't know that was a fan picture. It's convincing enough to look like a prototype that I mistook it as one. Yes, I am still frustrated that Sasha is getting left out of a lot of lines or is not very well distributed. But now I know that the retailers are to blame and getting mad at MGA does no good. Before I joined the fandom and began learning about Bratz I thought I knew just about everything about them. Now I know that isn't the case. I want to learn as much as I can because I have and always will love Bratz more than any other dolls. I'm sorry for making assertions that aren't true.

Is Costume Party Lela rare? Sorry stupid question, just really curious.

She isn’t as rare as a lot of other dolls, but she is still hard to find and can still be a little expensive. New characters with 1-5 dolls tend to be in high demand and Lela only has 2 dolls, Costume Party and Twiins (she is the twin of Krysta, who only has 1 doll). The Twiins set is much rarer and if you ever see and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg I would recommend going for it, especially if it’s NIB.

Amazon and Mattel’s shop are the only places I’ve bought online. Both are good :)

You can buy directly from major retailers, too. K-Mart, Wal*Mart, Target, etc. Amazon has better stock and usually better prices, though.

I’ve also heard of people having really bad experiences with Kmart. I guess they frequently send the wrong items. They’ll just pull any doll from the same line and send it to you rather than the specific one you ordered.

I haven’t heard anything like that about Walmart or Target though. I just use Amazon over those since I have Prime and can get free shipping :)

I ordered from Target online and they sent me two Lizzies for the price of one! Not sure what happened, but hey it works. She's not available online anymore it seems. I also took advantage of a sale and received all 3 of the dolls that I ordered. Receiving 2 Lizzies is the only "problem" I've had with them.

Regarding A$ and eBay

Looks like sellers have to opt into donating to A$, so it’s not a sitewide thing. You can tell which listings donate to A$ by the ribbon in the title. No ribbon means they don’t donate, ribbon means they do. You can also search directly for stuff from the charity page and when I searched MH, EAH, and Bratz nothing pulled up. Hope this helps clear things up!

Major Seizure Warning for Rayman Legends!

I downloaded Rayman Legends since it's free on Xbox. I mean, it's a $40 game for free, why not? However there were levels I literally couldn't finish because they're really flashy. I don't have photosensitive seizures, but that hurt and gave me a headache. I had to have my boyfriend finish the levels because they were way too flashy for me.

Every level in Living Dead Party is flashy or screws with your eyes somehow. If you have photosensitive seizures or issues with things screwing with your eyesight please be careful. Some people may not even be able to finish the game because of these levels, which is really unfortunate. It's like Ubisoft didn't even consider people with epilepsy when they created these levels.
