I don’t think the GA is what’s holding the buddie of it all back. They proved that by doing season 8. This show has historically been afraid of completing major arcs especially when it comes to eddie.
They also love writing the same arcs every season but in different fonts. Buck is always lost and searching for something- he might find it but then he’s lost again. Eddie is usually battling his repression in order to be a better dad. And I think they fear that if they get their heads out of their asses about this, then those arcs are complete and then what??? Which I disagree with there are so many places to go from there.
I see your “started watching because everyone made it seem like they were already together” and raise you my watching the whole time and once had to google “what episode did buck and eddie kiss” because there was simply no other explanation for wtf was happening on my screen.
my fav game is back!! which is me trying to figure out if eddie is actually being set up for any arc at all and then waiting to see how the writers will break their backs to make it not gay
