Vox plays music for you constantly while regressed. He has a record player in his room in V-Tower and his office both. He plays you songs from the 1950's, as well as some older sounding but still somewhat modern songs [In The Wee Small Hours of The Morning, I Get Along Without You Very Well, Stardust, etc.] He loves Frank Sinatra overall, and will sing you those songs as lullabies.
He owns quite a lot of Vintage Children's Books [The Original Little Golden Books copies of Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc.] He also has cute little alphabet books for you that he shows you, and books that explain events to you like going to the doctor or anything that might be scary for you. He constantly is reading to you, whether it's a story at bedtime or to stay engaged with you while you're little. [Reading you your ABCs book: "Do you know what letter comes after this sweetheart?" "Awh, it's alright if not. Here, daddy can help you." "Look what a smart little girl/boy/baby you are...."]
He hates seeing you cry, but his caregiving ability truly shines through when you do. Patience isn't his strong suit, but when it comes to his little darling? Oh, he's an expert. He'll hold you through every little tear and wipe your tears away with his clawed fingers, never so much as barely scratching you. ["Oh, honey, it's okay..." Vox rubs your back slowly as you huff another sob. "You're just a baby... you don't have to be big right now, but even big people cry, don't they?" He sighs softly as he holds you, pausing for a minute to look at your face. "Daddy cried when Alastor hurt him, didn't he?" He smiles softly in his gentle moment of vulnerability. "And that doesn't make you love him any less, does it? You're not difficult, not hard to deal with..." He pulls the blanket around you further. "Just a baby," he whispers, pressing a kiss on your cheek. "My baby..."]
He enjoys more than anything to spend quality time with you. Time spent together is his strongest love language, (right next to gift giving.) He loves to pause his work whenever possible to get on the floor and play with you, or color a picture alongside you, watch something you're watching with you, just join you in anything you like to do in your safe space. He's very good at playing, actually! He's very excited if you're the type of little one to play with dolls, action figures, or stuffies because then he gets to act out scenes with your toys with you, and he eats that up.
Speaking of gift giving, he's an EXCELLENT gift giver. He notices when you look at a toy for too long at a store, or you express the need for a new sippy up, the kind with the handles on it because when you're tiny it gets too hard to hold. He doesn't just give you a gift either, he always, always wraps them up, makes it extra special even if it's a just because gift. He always writes you a little note to go with it, whether it's heartfelt or short and sweet, something like, 'To my dearest little one... From, daddy.'
His nicknames for you are endless. He calls you 'darling,' 'sweetheart', 'angel', 'my baby', 'my princess/my prince/my monarch', 'little flower,' 'my star,' 'my little helper,' 'daddy's sweet girl/boy/baby,' 'dearest.' Or, if he's feeling really sentimental, he'll call you: 'my heaven,' 'my beloved,' 'my heart', 'my shark pup', 'love of my life,' 'little vee/sweet vee.'
He is so good if you're a little sensitive (or a lot sensitive). If you need more time with things, you cry easily, you need extra reassurance or care? He understands and wants to give it to you. He has so many ways of doing this. If you're scared because of past trauma, he knows to show you sometimes is better than to tell you. Words are cheap, but actions show true intentions. ["Hey, hey, darling. Deep breaths, can you look at daddy?" He holds out his hands in case you'd like to hold them, but stands a sizable distance away in case you'd like some space. He waits for you to come to him. Should you choose to look at him, or take his hands? He continues, rubbing his hand against your thumb. "I can see you feel a little scared, don't you? That's alright. Look, how about daddy shows you he won't hurt you? Do you have your favorite toy with you?" If you choose to grab it for him, he gently takes it, reminding you he'll give them right back. "Let's watch (toy name) do what you're scared of first, then you can try it if you'd like. How does that sound, my angel?"]
Vox is so good with younger little ones. If you're little enough to need padding of any kind [diapers or pull-ups] he's so, so gentle. He'll make sure you have the supplies you need and proudly check/change you if you need it. He never makes you feel embarrassed about it, but instead encourages you to be proud of your autonomy. He likes being needed by you, being wanted by you. Getting to change you is just another way he's honored to get to love you. If you're a little older, in pull-ups, he gives you gentle reminders if you need them to check in on you. ["I know you're busy playing, sweetheart." Vox sets his coffee cup down on the table next to him, planting a kiss on your cheek. "I don't mean to interrupt my baby, but when was the last time you used the potty?" As you think, he looks at you, flicking an eyebrow up. "You don't know? Maybe we should try, what do you say? It never hurts to." He reassures.]
He loves to dance with you while you're little, too. He picks you up and slow dances with you in his arms, he stares into your sweet eyes the whole time. His smile is never brighter than when he looks down with you.
He learns when having a little one that he's satisfied with where he is, that always achieving more and more is unnecessary when he finds his role as your daddy so fulfilling and perfect. He could never hope for a better experience than being yours. 🩵
