watchign this video on somatics and reconnecting with yourself and i really love the low stakes walking game they talk about where you go on a walk with someone and at every juncture you trade off picking where to go based on how it feels internally... also they recommend pausing and really imagining eating something to figure out what you really want and i do that all the time. every meal is because ive consulted very seriously with myself about what it is i actually want and i LOVE when people are deciding what to eat and i get to be like "imagine eating it, really feel it in your mouth and swallow" because it's one of my favorite things to do....

ZJ: One thing that I noticed is um Macklin's becoming a little bit more vocal with him in position. You can kinda see it in game time there in the first game they were in the offensive zone and Macklin was playing the high forward position because the opposing team had possession and there is a giant gap and Macklin sticks out his stick and yells like Close that gap what are you doing? Hurry up and get over there. You can't give people time in the NHL. You need to attack now, I'm already backed up and Igor just books it and they spurt out the puck and--and there's a couple of times even yesterday at the end of the game I think it was like the last shift of the Vegas game and Chernyshov breaks in over the blue line and just shoots it on net and Macklin looks, you know, like frustrated like Make a play. You know there's 6 seconds left don't just throw it into the chest, we have nothing to lose let's try to get one more. I think Macklin's communication, he seems very confident in himself and what should be done and knowing the game as well as he does, rightfully so, I think that's going to help Igor's development if he continues to play on that top line, which I think he deserves. I think we can see again the Macklin effect of having a very good leader on your team that's going to accelerate people's development and Igor seems to be responding well to it. And obviously when you lead by example that's going to be helpful. But I can see Macklin telling him what he wants from him frequently which is great to see. SP: I think it was the Dallas game actually, and I don't think it was something that was caught on camera but there was a shift where Chernyshov gave it to Celebrini and Celebrini entered the zone and dropped it off to the place where Chernyshov was supposed to be on the wing but Chernyshov had changed and Cardwell had jumped on but Cardwell was--not Cardwell's fault he was a little behind because he was changing so Dallas got the puck back. So that happens. But then on the bench I see Celebrini leaning over Graf because linemates sit together on the bench and he kinda like taps [Igor] on the shoulder and seems like--I don't know, I'm not on the bench--but seems like he was saying Don't get off there, you don't need to. We were on the attack. You respect Chernyshov for playing it safe and--maybe to Keegan's point maybe the wind isn't there for ideally like 45-50 second shifts like Macklin. Macklin had a couple of 2 minute shifts yesterday. I think he just decides--and I wrote about this, I have to check, but I'm pretty sure it's the Sharks saying Look you're our best player, you can pretty much decide when to go on and off.

i can say the nicene creed with total honesty and have few to no doubts about it

i think some of it is a stretch and maybe didn't literally happen but it's fine

christianity is more of a series of metaphorical but still meaningful events imo

we just don't know (but i still consider myself a christian)

i'm trying to figure out how much people literally and seriously believe that god turned into a real guy and people died and came back to life including him and so forth and how much room for interpretation people have around that while still feeling like christianity is something they can identify with. please do add your thoughts in the tags and be nice

a couple clarifications:

i was thinking mostly about the gospels and second testament with "all that" but please interpret it as expansively as you want

i don't think the realness (whatever that means) of any of it is the point (whatever that means) necessarily but i am interested in if/how/why people believe it physically happened. and alternatively what's going on for people who don't necessarily care if it really happened but do christianity anyway (insert the cs lewis quote about jesus being either legit or an egg man here you know the one). 🥂
