Grabbing an elf by the ears like handlebars and riding them but not like in a sexual way i just crash into a wall killing us both
*walking into the morgue to find body parts scattered across the floor* oh my god who closed last night
There’s something truly exquisite about stories where the real tragedy is the price you paid to stand on top of the world
Hollow victories … sacrificing your humanity on the altar of what you perceive to be the greater good … the loneliness of godhood … regret for the person you used to be … the realisation that there is no way back … *chef’s kiss*
why does my mother suddenly fail kindergarten whenever she tries to do anything on the computer
I know she doesn't know what "the maximise button" is so I told her "click the square at the top right" and she clicked...the printer icon...in the middle of the toolbar. and I'm just like okay. this isn't a technology thing you are flunking basic shapes and directions. I'm turning off your computer and getting you a block puzzle. you have a master's degree

A few years ago while trying to find ways to commit suicide as painlessly as possible, I came across a PDF of Dr. Paul Quinnett's The Forever Decision. Thinking it might go into actual methods of suicide (I read an article once that actually did that and was trying to find it again) I started to read it, and I think I only got about two pages in before I was crying too much to actually see the words.
I downloaded the PDF to my hard drive and I open it again whenever I'm feeling too suicidal to do much else, but not enough to start booking a ride to the hospital. And every time without fail I only go up to a few pages before backing off and choosing to live another day just because suicide suddenly seems even more unbearable than whatever the hell upset me in the first place.
All the book really does is [I'm pulling a summary from GoodReads here as, again, I've read no more than 5 pages] "discusses the social aspects of suicide, the right to die, anger, loneliness, depression, stress, hopelessness, drug and alcohol abuse, the consequences of a suicide attempt, and how to get help."
But it also starts with the author kindly asking the reader to complete the book before going through with anything, and for some reason I'm compelled to really just try to read it all before finalizing everything. Despite not yet completing it (hopefully never will) I think I can safely say it's saved my life at least a few times now.
It's intentionally legal to copy and redistribute this book to keep it as accessible as possible, and it's very easy to find, but here's a link for it anyways.

I like to imagine that a few years later, Atreus finds Sindri again- but dead.
Atreus would find him in a secluded area of midgard. Sindri had set up his workshop, but it was clearly unorganized and unkempt. Surrounding it was dozens and dozens of beautiful armour, weapons, and even accessories. His remains would be in the middle of it all, lain against the anvil and hammer- Brok's hammer- still in his ungloved hand.
When Atreus finds his remains, he would soon realize that Sindri has been dead for years. After ragnarok and saying goodbye to Brok for one last time, he would set up the workshop somewhere no one would find him and work himself to death. He wanted to distract himself from the lost of his family- not only Brok, but Atreus and Kratos as well, and the guilt of essentially robbing Brok his afterlife- all because he didn't wanted to be alone.
And that's what exactly happened to him. Sindri quietly passed away, full of regret, hatred and guilt, and sadness. And Atreus would feel a portion of it, as Sindri's feelings were so strong that a part of it imprinted on his hammer.
Because sometimes, there's just no making up. There's no making it better.
