Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 6 (again)! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for writing these stories and triggering my current hyperfixation! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
A Cluster of Kittens: Stray Pets
For context: This takes place after Finn has retired (heâs a teacher).
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
--------------------------
Leo felt Finn take his hand, pull it to his mouth, soft lips brushing over it.Â
âYou look so lovely in the dusk, sunshine.â Leo smiled and Finn turned to his other side, swinging his hands in the process. âAnd you, Lo. Made for the sunset.âÂ
âFlirty tonight, rouge,â Logan said, bumping Finn, causing him to bump into Leo.Â
They were walking home for once. It was a nice night, and it was a short walk from the bar back to their apartment.Â
âWhen is he not?â Leo asked, earning a kiss to the neck.Â
The conversation turned to hockey soon after, with Logan and Finn debating how the game could have gone even better. Even though Finn had retired the year before, he came to every home game and some away, when his teaching breaks allowed.Â
âNo, Lo. I donât think that it was possible to pass thenâŚâ And Leo sighed.Â
âNo more, please!â They both looked at him with knowing looks, used to this conversation by now. âI just want a quiet night. No more hockey talk. Please.âÂ
Finn gave him a mischievous look, eyes glinting in the streetlight.Â
âOh, you want a quiet night, huh?âÂ
âWell, it doesnât have to be thatâŚâ But a sound cut him off. At first, he didnât know what he was hearing. Some sort of cry. Coming from the alley.Â
He stopped abruptly.Â
Was that a baby crying?
âPeanut?âÂ
âBuerre?âÂ
But Leo shushed them as he crept closer to the alley, and he heard the rustle of his boys following close behind.Â
âUm, mon cĹur, I donât think itâs the safestâŚâÂ
âDo you hear that, Lo?â He paused once again. The crying sound was now coming from his left. It sounded too faint and high pitched to be a baby. And now the sound was joined by multiple other cries.Â
Leo fumbled in his pocket, but Finn was one step ahead, holding out his phone flashlight.Â
âOh.âÂ
In front of them sat a thin-looking adult cat. And she wasnât alone. Six kittens surrounded her, all crawling over each other and mewling up at them.Â
âOh, hello.â Leo leaned down, and one of the cats, a light tan one, crawled immediately to the hand he had put out. He immediately picked it up, cradling it to his stomach. It snuggled up to him, Leo assumed he was probably warm, as it started purring.Â
And now he found himself sniffling. Because they all looked so small. And they had nowhere to go. And the mama cat was all alone. And it was just gonna get colder. AndâŚ
âOh, peanut, itâs alright.â Finn said, leaning next to him. Logan followed.Â
He felt arms come around him and he leaned into Loganâs grip.Â
âWâŚwe canât just leave them here. ThâŚthey need help.âÂ
âOf course weâre not going to just leave them!â Finn said, as if the idea were ridiculous. And it was. None of them would just leave them here. âWeâll take them to a shelter.âÂ
Leo felt himself sniffing again. All the shelters would be closed for the night. And then theyâd be separated from their family.
âCâest bon, soleil. Weâre gonna take care of them now.âÂ
Logan stood up, and he and Finn glanced around, their eyes settling on a box near the recycling.Â
âHere,â Finn said, setting the box down. âWeâll put them in this. Get them home and warm, and in the morning, we can take âem to the shelter.âÂ
Leo agreed, and not five minutes later, they were walking through the street, now with six cats in a box that Finn had insisted he would carry (âyou two already worked hard tonight. My turn.â)Â
âNot sure Roryâs gonna love to have cats around. Itâs probably best if we keep âem somewhere contained for the time being,â Leo said, trying to sort out the logistics. He still had one of the cats in his arms. The little tan one that had curled there and not wanted to leave.Â
âOf course, I can go in first and distract him while you two set them up somewhere,â Finn said.Â
When they got home, Finn did just that, keeping their over-excited dog out of the front hall as Leo and Logan went straight through to the guest bedroom.Â
The kittens mewled, unsure of where they were or what was going on. Leo slowly set the fast asleep tan kitten in with the rest, quickly running downstairs for a paper bowl for water and rustling through their closet, finding a can of tuna that would do. Back in the room, Logan was sitting by the box, having set a few old towels around in case they wanted to use them.Â
Unsure about how sheâd like it, Leo tentatively let the mama cat smell him before reaching for her, taking her out of the box. She was luckily obliging, especially after he opened the can of tuna, letting him set her down on an old towel and give her the water and food. The kittens mewled some more, but were too little to climb out of the box.Â
âYouâre okay, babies. Your mamaâll be right back,â Leo said, reaching into the box to pet at their little heads. The tan one came up, sniffing his hand, and nuzzled into it, purring. The two black ones sat next to each other in one corner, clearly frightened, while the black tuxedo, gray tuxedo, and fluffy orange ones all walked around, still mewling. Logan took his phone out, snapping a few pictures of them.Â
âWhat are we going to do with you guys?â He asked no one in particular.Â
-----
Twenty minutes later, after the mama had finished eating and the kittens had settled in next to her, now on an old blanket set inside the box, the boys decided to head to bed.Â
âWeâll take âem to the vet tomorrow to make sure they're all healthy. Then weâll decide what to do from there.âÂ
They would decide if they were going to take them to a shelter or not. Leo still didnât like the idea of the cats being separated. But, he knew realistically that no one was going to take in seven cats.Â
âHey, Le, baby. No need to look so worried, weâve got this,â Finn said, kissing the side of his head, his boys now leading him to bed.Â
An hour later, after his boys had gone to sleep, he was still awake/ Which wasnât unusual. But he could swear he heard mewling. But maybe it was all in his head. He turned over, closing his eyes to try to drift off.Â
But ten minutes later, he sighed, not wanting to wake his boys with his tossing and turning. He would just get up, get water, maybe check on the cats, and then try to sleep once more.Â
But the sight of the cats, all tired and sleeping peacefully, except one, made his heart melt. It was the tan one that had nuzzled his hand. It was wandering around, clearly wanting to explore the small box. Maybe it had insomnia, too. At that thought, Leo quickly plucked it up in his hands, holding it to his chest.Â
âCanât sleep, little one?â He asked in a hushed whisper, sitting down, back against the side of the guest bed. âMe neither. Itâs okay, we can stay awake together.â The cat just sat on his shoulder, nuzzling into his neck, purring. Leo closed his eyes, relaxed by the soft purr coming from the kitten.Â
-----
âBaby baby, wake on up!â Finnâs voice drifted into his ear and Leo opened his eyes, moving, and groaning as his back creaked.Â
âOh yeah, soleil, your backâs gonna hurt,â Logan said, wincing with him as he rubbed circles on it.Â
âDid IâŚâ Leo yawned. âOh. I fell asleep.âÂ
âOuais.âÂ
Logan smiled at them as they pulled him to his feet. Then he panicked.Â
âThe kitten!â What if it fell when he had gotten up. Where had it gone?âÂ
But Finn pointed behind him at the guest bed where the tiny kitten was curled up. It must have climbed his body and gone on the bed. Thank goodness it hadnât fallen down.Â
Leo gently took the cat, setting it back in with its siblings, all now mewling at their mama, hungry and wanting milk.Â
âSorry we had to get you up so early on a day off, soleil. But, itâs vet time. Reg said if we come in before seven, he can have a look at them.â The advantages of having a friend who was training to be a vet.Â
âAlright.âÂ
A twenty minute drive later, they were being ushered into a room by Regulus, who looked at the cats, face softening slightly. Leo, who had learned much about him since they had become friends a few years ago, knew that he had a soft spot for animals, especially baby animals.Â
âWow, a whole cluster!â Reg said, taking each cat out one at a time, examining them. The kittens wriggled and squirmed, the mama cat perfectly calm. âWell, it seems like youâre lucky. All the little ones are healthy, and mama cat is, too. Makes me think that the previous owners might have dumped them, and quite recently.âÂ
Leo stared in horror at the implication that anyone would just dump tiny kittens that they didnât want.Â
âDo you know yet what youâre going to do with them? I know a good shelter.â But Finn shook his head.Â
âNo, weâre going to reach out to the team, see if anyoneâll take âem first.â They had discussed on the way here, deciding that was the best course of action. âUntil then, weâll keep them with us. Can they be adopted at this age?âÂ
âTheoretically, yes. Iâd put their age at about eight weeks old. They should be transitioning to solid food. But once youâve weaned them, they can be separated from the mother.âÂ
Then Regulus told them the process of encouraging weaning before sending them on their way, requesting that they text if they need any help.Â
-------
For the next week, they worked on weaning the kittens, and worked on getting their families and friends to adopt them. Logan had insisted that they not mentioned anything about the cats to Pascal, and had requested the team not to let Pascal catch wind of it, clearly planning something. They received many varied responses.
In the week they had had the cats, Finn and Logan had already begun calling the two black cats Sirius Jr. and Regulus Jr., trying to get Sirius to take in the stray pets. Sirius seemed to be interested, but Remus had reminded them that âItâs not a good time to ask. We canât take one right now. Not with the baby on the way.â Which was completely understandable. He told them heâd ask the rest of the Lupin family, though. They had an older cat, and he told them there was a high probability that theyâd say yes. Â
The Potter family had a similar explanation of not needing anymore chaos in the house at the moment. With three young kids, they completely understood.Â
Coach Weasley, who clearly didnât ascribe to the same sentiment after seven kids of his own, told them that he would be interested in taking one of them. After all, as he had told them, âwhatâs one more animal in this house?â His two youngest, Ron and Ginny, really wanted a kitten, and he told them he was also hoping to teach his twins some responsibility.Â
Logan, after a day spent with Celeste and Katie, told them not to offer the orange one to anyone else, as he had plans for it.Â
Kuny had agreed to take the mama cat, saying she would go nicely with the other calm cat he had at home.Â
And by then, they had run out of people on the team to ask. With three of the seven cats accounted for, they turned to their families. Finn told them that he couldnât ask Alex and family, because Alex was allergic, which had started a conversation about the fact that Finn had also begun developing allergy symptoms to the cats. Itchy red eyes, a stuffy nose, lots of sneezing. Logan had insisted that Finn stop touching the kittens, but Finn had refused, stating that it âwasnât that bad,â and âtheyâre too cute to resist!âÂ
âWell, weâve got four of the cats accounted for,â Logan said after another sneezing fit from Finn.Â
âFour?â Leo asked, petting the tan cat that was once again in his lap, sure that he had counted correctly. He plucked the kitten up, setting her against his neck, where she nuzzled in, purring. âOnly three. Kuny, Arthur, secret Dumais cat.âÂ
Leo finally looked up to see his boys both smiling at him.Â
âWhat if we kept one?â Finn said.
âWhat?â Leo was taken aback. Especially coming from Finn, who wiped at his nose. âBut youâre allergic!âÂ
Finn waved him away.Â
âThat oneâs so attached to you. Itâs only fair that she gets to stay,â Logan said. âFinn and I have discussed it. You agreed to get a dog with us. We want to get a cat for you.âÂ
It had been a debate when they first decided to get a pet. They had eventually decided on a dog, Finn having just retired and needed a new outlet. Rory was a rescue dog, and had been a good amount of work for them. But it had been the right time to get a dog with Finnâs more flexible schedule, and Leo had been happy about the decision. But he had also wanted a cat, so his boys had promised him that, eventually, theyâd also get a cat, once things settled.Â
Leoâs eyes filled with tears and he moved to kiss his boys, but the little cat got unsettled by his movement, so he sat back, petting her once more. At the silence coming from his boys, he looked up.Â
âBeing a dad looks really good on you,â Finn said, a mushy look in his eyes. âLove you in dad-mode.âÂ
âTheyâre cats, Fish,â Leo reminded, rolling his eyes and feeling himself blush.Â
âStill.âÂ
âBest cat dad, then,â Logan piped up. âSeeing you being soâŚparental, buerre, it does things to me.âÂ
âNot you, too. Iâve told you before that weâre not ready for kids.âÂ
âOui, je sais. But we can still enjoy you being a cat dad, non?âÂ
âYouâre really okay with keeping her?â He looked into both their eyes, making sure they were sure before he let himself get excited.Â
âOf course!â Logan said, coming over to give his cheek a kiss.Â
âShe was ours the moment she climbed into your arms and refused to leave, Le,â Finn said, coming up to his other side.Â
Leo smiled, tears in his eyes once again.Â
âThank you, thank you, thank you!â He peppered kisses on their cheeks and his boys chuckled.Â
âWeâll love her, too. Even if youâre clearly her favorite.â Finn said, then turned to sneeze.Â
âAnd Iâve got a name suggestion, but I canât take credit for it. Youâll have to thank Katie for this one.âÂ
----------
Eventually, discussions moved to what they wanted to do with the three remaining cats. Neither of Leoâs, Loganâs, or Finnâs family felt able to take in a cat at that time.Â
âIâŚknow I said we donât want to split them up. I want them to be with family, butâŚâ Leo reasoned with himself. He knew realistically that the cats werenât going to be together anymore, but having them adopted by people that he thought of as family helped.Â
âLetâs not give up quite yet. Remus still has to talk to his mom. And Iâve got one more person we can ask,â Finn said. âBut maybe you should text him, because after all these years, I think he still likes you the best,â he told Leo.Â
Two minutes later, he sent a text.Â
Leo
Hey, we have three more cats to be adopted
are you interested in taking in âSirius Jr.â andÂ
or âRegulus Jr.â?
He received a reply a few minutes later.
Regulus
Iâll consider it if you convince your boys toÂ
stop calling them that right now.Â
Leo laughed, relaying the information to said boys.Â
------
It was a week later, the week they were finally sending the kittens to live with their new families, when Logan finally let them in on the plan with the Dumais cat.Â
âSo Celeste and I are surprising him for his birthday with an orange kitten that looks like one he had from his childhood. He still keeps a picture of him in his wallet.âÂ
At the party, they got to watch Logan and the Dumais kids, who had somehow successfully kept it a secret, present the cat to their dad, whose eyes had widened, filling with rare tears. An instant later, he was up and hugging Logan to him.Â
âA good surprise, mon fils.âÂ
------
Two days later, the Lupins had come to pick up their kitten, the little black tuxedo.Â
A day later, Kuny and Arthur got theirs, followed by Regulus, who picked up the cats formerly known as Sirius Jr. and Regulus Jr.Â
Which just left them with their new kitten, a perfect end to their little kitten adventure.

I just had to add kitten pictures at the end! These were all just pulled off the internet, if you were wondering where they were from (all credit to...Google I guess). I love cats so much, hence my profile picture! I hope you enjoyed!
The idea of Regulus being a vet is completely based off of rxgulus's work over on ao3! Go check them out!
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 6! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for the amazing stories that totally ruined my sleep schedule when I first discovered them (and I loved every second of it)! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
Going Swimmingly: Freckles, Hometown, Solstice
For context: This takes place after Finn and Leo have retired. Finn is a professor and Leo is a stay-at-home dad for their kids. Logan still plays hockey with the Lions!Â
Featuring the three OâKnutzy kids: Margo, Oliver, and Emilie!
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
----------------------
âSunscreen, lifejacket, yes you need to wear a lifejacket even though I know you can swim, and then make sure Papa has the diaper bag and remind Dad to grab the picnic lunch,â Leo said as Margo asked once again if they could âplease go now.âÂ
Her face, which had freckled tenfold since the summer began, turned into a look of concentration as she repeated the list, running back inside.Â
âNo, Millie, yucky!â He said, as he glanced to the side, grabbing the one-year-old from where she sat next to her brother, pulling a stray bit of grass out of her mouth. âOllie, did you grab your swim goggles?âÂ
âI donât wanna swim, Daddy.âÂ
âYou might change your mind once weâre out there.âÂ
âNo, Daddy!âÂ
Oliver was a sweet kid, but when it came to something he didnât want to do, like swimming, he stood firm and got stubborn and grumpy. Leo and Finn swore it was a habit he had picked up from Logan. Logan argued that he had not necessarily been a sweet kid, which had been confirmed by his sisters.Â
Leo sighed, taking a breath to regain his patience, as he often did since becoming a father. It was taking longer to get three kids ready to go out on a boat than the actual time theyâd be on said boat.Â
âGâmorninâ my Lelo and my Ollie Bug and my Emmy Lou!â Leo sighed with relief as dirty blond hair came into view through the front door.Â
Thank God.Â
âWhat do you need from me?â Eloise Knut asked as she looked up from kissing the kids good morning, noticing the look on his face.Â
âIâŚcould you hold Millie? I need to check and see whatâs taking the boys so long.â She opened her arms, more than happy to take her granddaughter onto her hip as Millie cooed.Â
âLast I heard, Wyatt and Logan were looking for a missing lifejacket. I didnât see Finn or Mags.âÂ
âAlright. Ollie, are your goggles in the swim bag?âÂ
Oliver shrugged, avoiding eye contact. His fear of swimming was worrying, especially since he had refused to learn and he was about to turn five years old. Then the boys was instead distracted by a heron flying overhead.Â
âGrandmama, look!âÂ
Leo sighed once again, stepping into the house. Nearly running face first into Finn, leading Margo out of the house, bags slung on his shoulder.Â
âSorry, Daddy,â Margo said, giving him a hug around the middle, then side stepping him to go hug her grandma.Â
âYeah, sorry, nutter butter,â Finn said with a grin. Then his brows furrowed. âWhatâs wrong, you look stressed?âÂ
âIâŚthis parenting thing is hard,â a phrase that they often used to mean Iâm at the end of my rope here.Â
âOh, Le. How can I help?â Finn put the bags down, circling Leo into his arms. âWhat do you still need to do before we leave?âÂ
âYou want a list?â Leo asked a bit sarcastically, but Finn nodded.Â
âActually, yes. I want to help and your brainâs so organized all the time. You always know what everyone needs. Weâd be a total mess without you.â Leo blushed, rolling his eyes a bit at the praise. Although it was making him feel a little better.Â
âAlright. I have to find Oliverâs goggles. I think theyâre in the swim bag, but he also might have hidden them as an excuse not to swim. And then I think I forgot Millieâs baby sunscreen, and you know how her skin is.âÂ
âSoft and sensitive, like a baby, and just like our Logan,â Finn supplied.Â
âRight. And I donât know if my mama packed drinks in the truck. And thenâŚâ Leo looked down. There was one other thing. âOh yeah, I need my own swim suit.âÂ
âOkay, Iâll look for the goggles and make sure we have drinks. You grab the baby sunscreen and your own swimsuit. And maybe get Lo and your dad down here if possible. Okay?âÂ
âOkay, thanks Fish.â Finn grabbed his face and placed a kiss on his forehead. âAnd tomorrow, your parents are bringing the kids to that festival, and we can have the day to ourselves to relax because weâre on vacation!â Leo smiled. He loved the kids. So much. But it would be nice to have his parents take them out so they could have a quiet morning in. Or, as Finn and Logan had insisted, maybe a not-so-quiet morning in.Â
It had become a nearly yearly tradition for them to visit his family near the summer solstice. There were a bunch of festivals in New Orleans to celebrate the solstice, including a fair that his parents would be bringing the kids to tomorrow. But today, as much as he may be regretting it, he had promised them they could go out on the boat.Â
---
When they were finally, finally out the door, and about to board the boat, Logan gave him a kiss on the side of his head, running one hand along his face, gaining his attention.Â
âIs your sunburn feeling okay? Your face is very red today.â Then he turned to the boy in his arms. âDid you steal all the sunscreen for yourself, Vivi?âÂ
Oliver laughed.Â
âNo, Papa. Youâre silly!âÂ
Luckily he was in a better mood now.Â
âAre we going to get you out in the water today, huh?âÂ
Oliver shook his head. Logan nodded. They wouldnât ever force him to swim. But they could at least hope to get him in the water.Â
Finn came up to them, bag in one arm and Millie in the other, now wearing her strawberry sunhat.Â
âAw, Margoâs old hat! Une autre petite fraise!â Logan gave her cheek a kiss.Â
âOkay, all. Onto the boat!â Wyatt called out. As Margo ran ahead to be the first on, Oliver wiggled to get out of Loganâs arms to run after her. They had somehow wrestled him into his life jacket, and also convinced Margo to wear hers. Small victories. âCareful now, we donât want anyone slipping. We donât need you matching your Daddy in that way!â Wyatt called as he steadied the kids with a hand up into the boat.Â
Although Wyatt hadnât been around to see the incident that had led to Leoâs gray spot, his mama had mentioned it often enough, reminded each time they got on a boat. He had been about the same age as Oliver was now, but certainly much more excited about the swimming aspect, trying to jump off the side of the boat but slipping and knocking his head on the way down. Luckily, he had been wearing a life jacket and his mom had easily fished him out of the water, spluttering and crying. He had been taken straight to the hospital, reinforcing the importance of boat safety to all of the adults and his two cousins who had been there to see it happen.Â
âCâest exact, fais attention,â Logan called, hurrying after the kids. Logan smiled, taking the baby from Finnâs arms, kissing her to a shriek of âDaddy!â as they made their way toward the boat.Â
âWe need to get some sunscreen on you, Mils. Just because you might just tan like your Papa, you still need to wear sunscreen.â Which reminded him. âDid Lo put some on?â He asked as Finn helped steady his arm as he climbed onto the boat.Â
âNo idea. I put some on Margo and Ollie in the car.â Finn helped him settle in a seat with Millie on his lap, babbling away. âHey, Lo!â Finn called him over, asking if he had sunscreen on, and looking a bit guilty, Logan shook his head, taking the bag and fishing through it. He held out the baby sunscreen and then found some of the regular stuff.Â
Finn knelt in front of him and began putting some on Millieâs face, and she sputtered and began whining.Â
âNon!â She turned her face into Leoâs shoulder, crying out once again. âNon!âÂ
Leo adjusted her, but she kicked out her feet and flailed her arms, catching a particularly sunburned part of his face, making him hiss out.Â
âIci, soleil.â Logan gently plucked her up, then cooing and attacking her cheek with kisses, Finn was able to get some sunscreen around her arms and legs. Then Logan held her out and Finn quickly got her face before giving her a quick kiss on her cheek himself, standing back up straight and landing one on Loganâs jaw line.Â
âAh, sunscreen!â Finn said, wiping at his mouth.Â
âYou literally saw me put it on. Donât know what you expected, rouge.âÂ
They all took a seat as Wyatt started up the boat.Â
âWait, did you put on sunscreen, Le?â Logan asked.Â
That was a good question. He supposed in the rush to leave, he didnât get a chance to. His face must have said it all, because then he was being attacked with cold sunscreen hands on his face.Â
âNo more Lobster Leo allowed!âÂ
âPapa, Dada, Daddy, when can we swim?â Margo asked, coming up to them and leaned onto his lap, Oliver beside her.Â
âAs soon as we get to a good stopping point. Probably a few more minutes, punkin.âÂ
âWill you swim wif us?â Oliver asked and Leoâs heart soared with hope.Â
âOf course, bud. Are you going to try it?âÂ
Oliver nodded, tentatively. Leoâs heart soared with relief.Â
âBut you hafta hold on. I donât wanna go under.âÂ
âOf course we will, Ols. Youâll be safe with us,â Finn said, grabbing the boy and pulling him into his lap.Â
âDada! Youâre gross and sweaty! Anâ itâs too hot!â Oliverâs curls were already sticking to his head in a way that Leo could guess his probably were, as well. Although he hadnât lived in Louisiana for awhile, he was still used to the heat after spending 18 summers there. But Oliver was much like his Papa with respect to the extreme heat, Logan already looking miserably hot from his spot on a boat seat.Â
âOkay, okay,â Finn let go. âMaybe this summer, we can sign you up for your big boy swim lessons, huh?âÂ
They had held off for another year last year, the pool offering parent and child lessons up to four-years old. And Oliver had been terrified of the water. It was an activity that Logan often did with the kids during his time off from hockey, and Emilie had been too little to start hers. But this year, they were hoping to get him in beginner independent lessons. This interest in swimming gave them hope.Â
âAnâ you hafta protect me from alligators! I donât want them to chomp off my toes!â Â
Leo glared slightly at Finn, this new fear of Oliverâs coming from one small comment from Finn that he needed to wear shoes in the yard so that the âalligators wonât chomp off your toes.âÂ
Finn didnât meet his eye, looking a little guilty, but said, âI promise weâll be right there. Your Daddyâs a professional alligator wrangler, not to mention your Grandmama!âÂ
âReally?â Margo asked, perking up, and glancing at Eloise, who was now steering the boat.Â
Leo laughed.
âYou can ask her.â This had the two running off to ask, and Eloise caught them up in a hug, and an excited look, having Wyatt take the wheel as she told them a story about an alligator.Â
âWe donât want alligators chomping up your toes, hey Millie?â Finn said, now miming chompers with his hands, tickling her feet as she squirmed and squealed.Â
âDada! Dada!âÂ
Leo leaned back, watching the sun peak between the clouds.Â
Ah, what a summer this was turning out to be.Â

Thanks for reading!
Just as a sidenote, I headcanon that Wyatt is actually Leoâs step-dad. Background on this: When I was originally reading SW/Vaincre and fanfics based off of them, I saw a lot about mamaâs boy Leo and I thought that Eloise was a single mom. So when I found out Wyatt existed, I decided that (in my headcanon) Wyatt is Leoâs step-dad and has been since Leo was about 12 (Leoâs never met his bio-dad, and he calls Wyatt âDadâ). I also liked the idea of Eloise Knut being a single mom for years, raising a completely self-sufficient, loving, (and also adorable) mamaâs boy.
Iâm curious to hear any thoughts about this, as well!
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 5 (again)! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for these stories and my newfound desire to watch hockey! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!
Cool Dads: Office, Constellation, Dads

-------------------------------
âDada, your job is so boring!â Margo piped up from where she was sitting on the chair in Finnâs office, pushing her feet on the desk so she could spin around. Not a great start to their afternoon.Â
âMargo!â Leoâs reprimand was paired with a shake of his head. Margo looked up at him with innocent eyes.Â
âBut Daddy, Papaâs on TV! Papa works with the most famous hockey player ever!âÂ
âAnd who would that be?â Finn asked.Â
âUncle Sirius of course!âÂ
âDonât ever let your Uncle Loops or Uncle Reg hear you say that.â Leo said with a laugh.Â
âMy jobâs not boring! I get to teach about books!â Finn countered, knowing that it might not sound as fun as playing hockey, but it was still an enlightening career.Â
She looked at him, considering. âI do like books.âÂ
âI know you do. And between you and me, your Papaâs job is a lot cooler. But you know who has the coolest job in the world?âÂ
She shook her head, eyes widening in anticipation. Finnâs eyes met Leoâs and he rolled his eyes, knowing what Finn was going to say just a second before he said it. Which was enough time for him to start blushing apparently.Â
âYour Daddy! Because he gets to spend all day with the two of you!âÂ
âDaddy is the coolest! And the only one without gray hairs!â Margo adds, laughing as Finn scoffed. Standing and walking over to Leo, bringing his fingers through Leoâs gray spot.Â
âAnd what do you call this?â
âThatâs not old person gray hair. Not like this, Dada,â Margo stood on the chair, Leoâs arms coming around to steady her, as she pulled a rare gray strand of Finnâs hair in her fingers.
âYes, okay, okay, I get it,â Finn said, and Margo was giggling. Leo couldnât stop himself from chuckling. âOh no, not you too!â He quickly pulled Leo in and gave him a kiss on the cheek.Â
âDada! Yucky!â Margo exclaimed as they broke apart. âCan we please please please go now?âÂ
The college was having a family night with booths and kids activities set up by the education majors who wanted to be elementary school teachers. Finn had mentioned a table for kids to pick out free books, as he had worked with his department on that.
âLo here yet?âÂ
âNo, I donât think heâs left the rink yet. We could probably head down to the event and meet him there.â
-----------
âI know all those constellations already,â Margo said proudly. At five years old, she already had the confidence of someone much older. âMy Uncle Reg is part of the lion constellation right there. I love lions. And Uncle Sirius is right there. He says heâs a dog star. Anâ Uncle Reg calls him a smelly wet dog! Anâ also my cousinâs name means Star.â Then she called out, âDaddy! Look! Your name!âÂ
Through the crowds of people at Gryffindor Universityâs Kids Discovery Day, Leo had finally caught up to Margo who had went running through the crowds when she saw the astronomy booth. He bent down to see what she was looking at, sending the college student who was running the booth a smile.Â
âWhat did you say, Punkinâ?âÂ
âYour name, Daddy!â She was pointing at a chart of constellations, the word âLeoâ was in bright red with an arrow toward the constellation of a lion.Â
âOh yeah. My name is also the name of a constellation. Actually, itâs the one that the Regulus star is in!âÂ
âRead please, Daddy?â She asked, shoving a piece of paper with multiple constellations on it. He read the short blurb about the Leo constellation to her. She grinned, jumping up and down.Â
âDaddy, stickers!â Margo grabbed for the sticker sheets on the table.Â
âI see them, hon. Can you ask nicely if you can grab some?âÂ
âCan I please, please, please have some star stickers? Anâ some for my baby brother?âÂ
âOf course, take as many as you want. They glow in the dark!â The university student said, smiling down at her and handing over the stickers. âAnd you can take some for your brother, too.âÂ
âThank you,â Leo said. Then he stood, glancing around for said baby brother. He found them a minute later, eyes catching the bouncing blond curls as Finn glanced around the crowd with Oliver high in his arms, bouncing the boy up and down as tears rolled down his face.Â
Oh no.Â
âMargs, lets go find Dada and Ollie. What do you say?âÂ
âThank you!â She grabbed the stickers and sheet of paper, and took off in the crowd once more.Â
âMargo!â He called, but she had already swerved between two people and was gone. At least she had gone in the direction of Finn.Â
When Leo made it through the dense crowds to Finn, he leaned over to kiss Oliver on the cheek.Â
âWhatâs wrong, bug?âÂ
Leo caught the boy as he lurched toward him from Finnâs arms. He buried his face in Leoâs shoulder, sniffling. It hurt him to see their sweet two-year-old so sad. He looked at Finn, eyebrow raised.Â
Finn shrugged.Â
âHe got upset when I didnât follow you through the crowd. He was saying something in French, but all I picked up was âPapaâ becauseâŚyâknow.â Even after so many years, years spent teaching their kids French by talking almost exclusively in that language some days of the week, Finn was still hopeless with it beyond a few key phrases. âMaybe heâs coming down with something,â Finn said, feeling his forehead. The boy didnât respond. But there hadnât been any other indication of sickness all day, the boy had simply been grumpy. Leo had a sneaking suspicion that he was getting his molars, and teething was never a fun time with kids.Â
âWell, you guys donât have to stay. When Lo gets hereâŚâ But Finn shook his head.Â
âNo, weâre going to your concert.â Leo had been playing in the Gryffindor community band since Margo was two, when Finn and Logan had mentioned that he didnât seem to be doing any activities that were just for him, emphasizing that he was always working to take care of the family. He had finally admitted to wanting to join a band, having played oboe all through high school. So they had encouraged him, and for years he had been playing. Tonight they had a kid-friendly concert that they had planned to bring Margo and Oliver to.Â
âLo and I can take turns walking him if necessary. He didnât sleep well either, so he might just pass out to the sweet supple sounds of his Daddy playing oboe.âÂ
Leo could feel himself blush, but was saved from responding by a soft, âOĂš est Papa?â
Leo decided to respond in French. It was also possible the boy was overstimulated and needed the steadiness of the language. âHeâs coming from practice and heâll be here in just a few minutes.â Leo had to go warm up with the band in twenty minutes, and he hoped that Logan could ease his departure a bit for Oliver. The boy had developed a new strain of separation anxiety that made it hard for them to leave unless he was fully distracted. âYour sister got you some stickers.â Oliver shifted so he could look at Margo, who was showing Finn the collection of items she got from the table.Â
âOggie, I got you some glow in the dark stickers! Bâcause you donât like the dark!âÂ
âMerci,â he said in a soft voice, reaching for them and staring at the collection.Â
âLetâs go now. I want to see more tables! Where are the free books, Dada?âÂ
Finn glanced around, then he pointed at a table with a light blue tablecloth across the room.Â
Margo was about to set out before Leo called down to her, hand on her shoulder.Â
âHey, you need to please slow down in these crowds, Margo. We donât need you bowlinâ people over.â But before the words had even left his mouth, she was running once more.Â
Leo sighed.Â
âAh, good old OâHara energy,â Finn said, taking Leoâs hand and leading them smoothly through the crowd toward the booth. He was able to keep sight of her through the crowd, as he was taller than most here.Â
Leo could hear Margoâs excited voice as they walked up to her.Â
âNo, Iâm not lost! My dads are right there!âÂ
âThatâs your dad?â One of the college students asked, gesturing to Finn.Â
âYep. My Dada and my Daddy. And my baby brother, Oggie!âÂ
âHi, Dr. OâHara!â Another of the students said as they walked up. âIs this your family?âÂ
Finn nodded, beaming, making introductions. Apparently these were a few education majors who were taking his upper-level English teaching class.Â
âAnd this is my husband, Leo, and my kids, Margo and Oliver,â Finn reached over and rustled Oliverâs hair, who, at seeing unfamiliar faces, hid in Leoâs shoulder once again, making a few of the students coo.Â
âI didnât know you had kids or a husband, professor,â one of the girls said. Sofie, Leo remembered.Â
âWell, honestly, I donât talk about them a whole lot in class because if I did, Iâd go on and on and never get to my lesson!â Finn said, smiling at him. Leo blushed, but he could tell that Finn was telling an only slightly exaggerated truth.Â
âWell, itâs nice to meet you, Dr. OâHaraâs husband!â Leo was used to people recognizing him in public. Any professional athlete, or former professional athlete, was. But he wasnât used to people calling him that. He loved it.
âNice to meet you,â Leo said in return, shifting Oliver around so he could shake hands with the girl.Â
Finn chatted with his students a bit. After a few minutes, Margo had chosen a book and was darting between them, eying the other booths. In a moment, her eyes lit up and Leo knew she was about to bolt.Â
Then tan arms came under her shoulders and she was being pulled up into the air with a flurry of giggles.Â
âPapa!â She squealed.Â
âI knew you were about to run off, ma fraise. Itâs busy in here. You know your dads have gotten slow and we canât chase after you. Good thing I caught you, huh?â Logan smiled, hiking the girl over his shoulder before turning to give Leo a peck on the cheek and pat Oliverâs head. The boy looked up and cried out, âPapa!â before lunging for him. Logan easily caught the boy in his other arm, talking to him in French as the boy smiled and nuzzled into Loganâs neck. Logan unceremoniously deposited a wriggling Margo into Finnâs arms, turning to give him a peck, too.Â
By now, Finnâs students looked really confused. Finn laughed at their wide eyes.Â
âMy other husband, Logan Tremblay,â Finn said by way of explanation. The students seemed to take this in stride, shaking hands once more.Â
âOh, I do hope heâs teaching you all the right stuff! You should really listen to him, he helped me not fail out of my own English class in college!âÂ
The students laughed. Then one piped up.Â
âYouâre the Logan Tremblay? The hockey player.âÂ
Logan nodded, obviously used to this. Over the past few years his popularity had grown significantly, especially in Gryffindor. Although Logan was quite a private person, he had had to get used to being recognized in public more and more.Â
âOui, I am. But did you know that these two also were?âÂ
âYou played hockey, Dr. OâHara?â One of them asked, looking as shocked as the rest of the girls. Finn laughed.Â
âI swear, no one listens to my start of the year presentation. I did mention Iâm a big Lions fan and that I played hockey growing up.âÂ
Leo had to admit that that was a huge understatement.Â
âAlso, if you ever look me up on anything other than RateMyProfessor, youâd know all about my hockey career!â Finn had once bragged about his RateMyProfessor score of 4.7 out of 5, complaining that the student who pulled his score down hadnât even shown up to class. Leo had asked why he was checking the website in the first place, and he had mentioned that his students were all talking about it in class and he had to keep up with the âopinions of the youth.âÂ
They talked some more before Margo bolted once more with a shriek of âUncle T!â This time, Leo turned to find that Margo was barreling straight into Thomasâs legs, the man laughing and rustling her hair, little Ellie smiling down at her from her dadâs arms, Charlie weaving around him, looking extremely excited to see her cousin.Â
âAh, you made it!â Logan said as he and Leo hurried after her, leaving Finn talking with one of his coworkers, Oliver now clinging to his neck.Â
âDid you doubt me, Lo Lo Bear?âÂ
âArrĂŞte, Talker!â Lo said, glancing around, as if anyone was listening to them in the overly crowded and loud area. âOnly my sisters and my parents get to call me that!âÂ
âI am your sister now, man.â Logan shoved him lightly, leaning over to give Ellie a kiss on the cheek.Â
âWhatever you say.âÂ
âIâm extra-prepared and ultra-excited to hear you on the oboe, Knutty!â Thomas said, setting Ellie down as she wriggled. âYou want your Uncle Leo, donât you?â And, sure enough, the girl immediately walked to Leoâs legs. He picked her up, kissing her on the cheek.Â
âBonjour, Ellie!â Leo turned back to Thomas. âDonât get too excited, T.âÂ
âOh, I am!âÂ
âUntle Knut?â Ellie asked. He turned to her once again, smiling at her bright green Tremblay eyes that matched her sisterâs, motherâs, and uncleâs.Â
âOui, mon chou?âÂ
âI wanna pay music like you do when I grow up,â the three-year-oldâs voice was smiling up at him, eyes bright. Then he heard a cry from behind and he recognized immediately, even through the noise of the crowd. Thatâs my kid.Â
âNon, Daddy! Non, Ewie!âÂ
Oliver was toddling over to him, Finn following from behind. The two-year-old could be fast when he wanted to be. And also territorial.Â
âOkay, okay. Itâs fine, bug.â The next thing he knew, he was holding a kid in each arm, both refusing to leave, staring each other down. The cousins usually loved each other, both having similar sweet dispositions that they got along so well. But they were territorial of their parents, often angry when their cousin was getting attention from their mom or dads instead of them. It was an issue that they hoped the kids would grow out of, but hadnât yet.Â
âUm, where did Margo go? And did you just bring one today?â Finn asked after he clapped hands with Thomas in greeting.Â
âThat girl is going to be the death of me,â Leo muttered, glancing around until he spotted red and brown hair on the other side of the room.Â
âWell, at least sheâs enjoying this event,â Finn reasoned, as they made their way over. âMaybe she wonât think my jobâs so boring after all.âÂ
âAw, you really took that to heart, didnât you, Finn?â Leo asked, smiling as he relayed the story to Thomas and Logan.Â
âYour own daughter, huh?â Thomas asked. âI want you to know that my daughters think that my job is cool.âÂ
âPeut-ĂŞtre, but do they think your jobâs cooler than my sister?âÂ
Thomas let out a barking laugh and then looked away, shaking his head.Â
Once they made it to Margo, Logan leaning down to once again remind her that she needed to stay with them, Thomas making sure Charlie stopped running off as well. These two were often very well behaved by themselves, Margo a bit less so when she was excited, but when they got together, their energy fed off each other and they would get a bit crazy.Â
âSheâs going to love your concert so much,â Finn said. âYouâre going to be the new cool dad.âÂ
âI was always the cool dad,â Leo said, although he wasnât sure he believed it. âSpeaking of the concertâŚâ Leo glanced at the two kids in his arms still in a glaring match, gripping his shoulder tightly. âIâve got to go get warmed up.âÂ
âHere,â Finn said, grabbing Ellie, who went with little resistance, happy to see her other uncle who she hadnât seemed to notice was there.
âDada, non!â Oliver said, now struggling to get out of Leoâs arms. Thomas offered to take him, and when he handed him over, the two kids started screeching.Â
âAlright, I think itâs time to go,â Finn said, as he and Thomas quickly traded toddlers. âWe got this, Le. You go.âÂ
âTime to go, Margo and Charlie!â Logan said, noticing the squabble and taking each of them by hand. âI think ice cream is in order before the concert.âÂ
And, as expected by this promise of ice cream, the kids calmed down and jumped around with excitement. Enough for Leo to sneak away, waving at Finn, who was purposely holding Oliverâs attention away from Leoâs quick departure.Â
The concert was a great success! Leo stood proudly as the audience clapped after their final piece. He then noticed Margo and Charlie, each standing on a chair, each being held tightly by Finn and Thomas, clapping, calling for him and waving. It seemed that the other two kids were already asleep on Loganâs shoulders as Logan attempted to clap, but couldnât quite reach around them, instead giving a soft whooping sound that Leo read from his lips.Â
On the car ride home, Margo told them, sleepily that âDaddy definitely has the coolest job of you all,â before promptly falling asleep, unknowingly causing a whispered debate among them about who really did have the coolest job.Â
And while they couldnât decide, his boys reassured him that Leoâs stay-at-home, keeping their life together job was definitely the most important of them all.Â

I hope you enjoyed! I love a girl-dad Thomas!

Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 5! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for these wonderful stories and for my 300 day duolingo streak because after meeting the Dumaisâs and Logan, I just had to learn French! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
Dumais Departure: Bound, Encouragement
Lo adjusting to moving out of the Dumais family household, featuring Katie Dumais and the rest of the gang!
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
-------------------------------------
It had been a week since Logan officially moved out of the Dumaisâs and into his boysâ apartment. And he was over again for dinner. For the fourth time that week.Â
If he was completely honest with himself, he had spent more time at the Dumais house than he had at his boysâ apartment that week, even sleeping over a few of the nights after dinner. He had told himself (and Pascal) that he was still moving things out of the basement. But that wasnât exactly true. Wednesday night, Leo and Finn had come to help move the rest of his things over after dinner with the family.Â
And here he was again, two nights later, enjoying Celesteâs amazing pot roast.Â
When Logan was in the car with Pascal after practice, Pascal had asked if he was okay.Â
âI mean to say, are you certain that moving out is what you want to do?âÂ
He had glanced up from where he had been texting his boys about when he planned to be home.Â
âOf course, why?â He expected a joking comment about how it was âas if he never left,â that he had heard plenty of from Celeste and Dumo the past few days.Â
But instead, Pascal looked genuinely worried. Â
âWell, it justâŚseems like youâre having a tough time leaving. We love your company, of course. We want you around. I just wanted to make sure you felt like this was the best decision. I want to make sure everything was okay over at the boysâ place.âÂ
âOh. Yes. Itâs wonderful. ItâsâŚâ Logan had trailed off, knowing he had a goofy grin on his face. Pascal gave him a look before turning back to the road.Â
âNo details necessary, mon fils.â Which had caused Logan to blush and stare pointedly out the window. A few minutes later, Pascal brought up another point. âIf youâre feeling guilty about the kidsâŚâÂ
Logan hadnât been the only one who was seemingly having a tough time with this transition. Every time he came over, the kids clung to him. The younger two physically, while the older two just wanted to spend time with him. And he'd be lying to himself and Pascal if he said that wasnât part of the reason. But really, he was justâŚclinging to the family that had taken him in as a rookie. His âGryffindor familyâ as he referred to them with his parents and sisters, who often just called them his "other family."Â
And every time he remembered that he would be going home to his boys, his heart soared. But part of it dropped, too, when he remembered the sad look in Katieâs eyes every time he had to go to practice instead of stay and play. Louis holding out a game controller, a hopeful look in his eye. Celesteâs soft humming as she cooked dinner. The warm smell of the house. The feeling of safety and comfort.
It was a strange sense of homesickness, really.Â
âLook, mon fils. As much as I joke about encouraging you to move out, you can always come back. I see the way you boys are and I doubt youâll ever need to move back in permanently. But even for just the night. Or a weekend. Whenever. You are family. You will always be welcomed back with open arms. Moving out doesnât change anything. You will always be family. Just as Sirius is family, too. I know you know this. But I need you to hear it again and understand that this doesnât change anything. Oui?â
âOuias. Merci, Papa.â Logan had said in a joking tone. And in some ways he wasnât joking. And Pascal seemed to know that.Â
So here he sat, stomach full from the delicious pot roast, sitting on the couch, Katie in his lap, Adele sitting next to him on the couch, Marc nodding off against his arm on the other side, trying to beat Louis at Mario Kart, as he heard a knock at the door.Â
âIt smells amazing in here! I sure hope you saved some dessert for me!â Finnâs voice drifted in as he walked through the living room, stepping in front of the TV.
Logan groaned as he lost sight of the track, forfeiting the game to Louis as Finn leaned down and kissed his forehead.Â
âRouge!â Logan said in a mock-groan. âYou made me lose!â
Louis was laughing like a maniac as Leo drifted into the room.Â
âSounds rowdy in here!â He came over to the couch, smiling his bright sunny smile. âHey guys, howâs it going? Oh, Adele, I loved that series when I was your age!âÂ
Marc had woken up a bit, and was now hugging Finn around the middle.Â
âHarzy, Harzy, Harzy!â Finn laughed, picking him up so that he was upside down.Â
âGoodness, should have known you two were here just by the noise!â Celeste said, walking through the entrance.Â
âThereâs chocolate cupcakes for tired kids in the kitchen.âÂ
And Louis and Marc were off, followed slowly by Adele, who was still talking with Leo.Â
Then Finn stepped close, setting a hand on Loganâs back, arm out to pull him up to his feet when there was an ear-splitting scream.Â
âNOOO!âÂ
Finn startled back, everyone staring at the little girl in Loganâs lap. Pascalâs face peaked from the kitchen.Â
âKatie, whatâŚ?â Logan asked, moving to get up. But this only made her scream once again.Â
âStay, stay, stay! Donât leave!â Then she turned to Leo and Finn, screaming, âWhy do you have to take him away?âÂ
They all stared at each other for another minute before Logan felt tears forming in his eyes, and he turned, sniffing and wiping his eyes.Â
Pascal came in, waving the rest of them out to the kitchen, coming to kneel near the couch.Â
âMon chou, no one has taken our Logan away.âÂ
He sniffed again, feeling an actual tear on his cheek.Â
âOh, mes enfants.â Pascal came to sit next to them, and Logan felt himself being enveloped into a hug. âThings are changing, and I know itâs hard, Katie. But weâre still going to see Logan so much. But we do have to let him grow up and move out.âÂ
âButâŚbut why?â Katie asked in a tearful voice, effectively breaking Loganâs heart once more.Â
âBecause he canât live with us forever. He wants to move in with his boys and make space for more people here. Just like when Sirius moved out.âÂ
âSirius moved out and lived all alone.âÂ
âTrue, yes. Maybe a bad example. But he lives with Remus now.âÂ
âLoops!â Katie said cheerfully, smiling through sad eyes.Â
âOui.â Soft padded footsteps came from the other side of the room. Logan glanced up to see Celeste walking over. She sat on their other side of him, and put an arm around Loganâs shoulder.Â
âLoganâs going to visit us so much. Whenever he wants. Or at the very least once a week.âÂ
âOui, I promise,â Logan said, kissing Katieâs forehead.Â
Celeste then leaned in close, talking in a loud whisper.Â
âAnd in the meantime, Katie, do you remember that present you got for your birthday?â Katie seemed to think for a second. Then she perked up.Â
âYou mean we can have matching ones?âÂ
âOui, mon minou.âÂ
Katie turned to Logan, now excited, whispering into his ear, âCan they be rainbow colors so we match Leo too?â Logan had no idea what she was talking about, but he nodded, trying to remember the gifts she had gotten for her last birthday just a few weeks ago.Â
âOuias, sure.âÂ
Katie hopped off his lap. But before she could get very far, Celeste held onto her hand.Â
âFirst, you need to apologize to Finn and Leo for yelling at them. They arenât taking Logan away from us. And they are part of our family, too. And they will be for a very long time, I think,â her eyes sparkled as she looked at Logan. He could feel himself smiling, and rolled his eyes half-heartedly as she kissed his cheek and followed Katie to the kitchen.Â
----
Two days later, when Logan was once again at the Dumaisâs house for dinner, he was presented with a bracelet, purple and pink, his and Katieâs favorite colors. A matching one sat on her wrist.Â
âNow we match! Will you wear it?âÂ
âAlways!â Logan said, kissing her on the cheek.
She then turned a little shyly to Finn and Leo, setting a bracelet into each of their hands, and another into Loganâs. Each was a mix of red, yellow, and green.Â
âMama says that friendship bracelets mean that weâre bound together through friendship. But youâre not my friend.â Logan was taken aback at that for a moment, and he saw Finn glance up at Logan, a small hurt clear on his face, and Leo still glancing at Katie, nodding patiently. âWeâre family.âÂ
That night, when Logan had said his goodbyes to the family, Katie had not cried while he was leaving. A first since he had moved out. Instead, she was waving and jumping up and down at Loganâs promise to see her after their home game.Â
Logan kept both bracelets close. A reminder of his Gryffindor family. He and Sirius, who had quickly received his own bracelet, got to show off their bracelets to two child reporters interviewing them after the game. Logan showed his purple and pink one, Sirius his red and pink one, telling the cameras all about their little sister, Pascal beaming over at them, Katie wedged in the middle, smiling as she talked about her two biggest brothers.
O'Knutzy Week Day 4: Beach Day Brunch and Godforsaken Golf Balls

Beach Day Brunch and Godforsaken Golf Balls: Freckles, Workout
The boys take Leo on a summer date!
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
-------------------------------
âMorning, sunshine!â Finnâs excited voice called as Leo walked into the kitchen and was handed a cup of coffee, a kiss placed on his cheek. âWeâre taking you on a summer date-day, so drink that and then weâre leaving.âÂ
âHuh?â Leo asked, still a little foggy from just waking up.
âAllez, Le, letâs go pick out something to wear.âÂ
âBreakfast?â Leo asked, as Logan took his hand and led him back upstairs.Â
âWeâre getting brunch. Then weâre keeping the rest of the day a surprise. So put on a summer outfit and pack a change of clothes and maybe a swimsuit.â Logan winked at him as he let go of his hand to grab a backpack, stuffing his own clothes in.Â
âDonât forget the sunscreen,â Leo said as he went about getting dressed for the day and collecting the extra clothes, now smiling with excitement. He loved when his boys had a day planned.Â
âOuias, my little sunbugs. Le coup de soleil.âÂ
âJust because you donât burnâŚâÂ
âOui, oui, still wear sunscreen, je sais.â
When they were packed and ready to go, Finn drove them out into the less populated areas of Gryffindor.Â
âAny hints on where youâre taking me?â Leo asked, watching the landscape out the window.Â
âWell, firstâŚâ But Finn was cut off as Loganâs hand landed on his mouth.Â
âSecrets! Surprises, Fish! No hints!â Then Logan made a noise of disgust, taking his hand away. âYou licked me! Unbelievable. Keep your tongue to yourself!âÂ
âThatâs not what you usually say,â Finn said with a wide grin, eyes glancing in the rearview mirror to smile at Leo, his freckles more present than ever in the morning sunlight. âAll I was going to say was that weâre taking him to brunch, which he already knows. But I bet you canât guess where.âÂ
Leoâs eyes widened at Finnâs excited tone.Â
âAre you really taking me to Hogsmeade Cafe?â The best breakfast place they had found in Gryffindor, sat right next to a beautiful lake.Â
âOui,â Logan said, smiling back at him. âGot a reservation for the table overlooking the lake.âÂ
âOh, so thatâs why someone woke me up before my alarm.âÂ
âOui, dĂŠsolĂŠ, beurre. I wanted to let you sleep as long as possible.â Logan had been up with him when he had been unable to sleep after waking up at two am. He had stroked through his hair, whispered to him. It had put him back to sleep, eventually, but he had still woken up groggy to a pair of lips on his cheek and a soft french-accent in his ear.Â
âItâs alright, Lo. Didnât mean to wake you up at twoâŚâ But as this conversation usually went, Logan answered with an uh-uh and Finn interrupted with a âyou woke up again? Were you able to get back to sleep?â his voice full of pure worry and Leo simply remembered how much he loved them.Â
After a wonderful brunch filled with laughter and one of the best french toasts heâd ever had, eating as they overlooked the boats on the water, Finn pulled them both up, nearly bouncing with excitement. He led them toward the car, but instead of getting in, he simply unlocked it and grabbed his bag.Â
âNext up on the itinerary isâŚâ He reached into his bag and pulled out his swimsuit, âget naked!âÂ
âFinn!â Leo said, feeling himself blush, as he glanced around. Luckily, no one was close enough to hear.
âOkay, okay. But we do need to change. Donât forget the sunscreen.âÂ
Twenty minutes later, they were stepping into a three-person kayak, pushing out onto the water. Logan seemed a little nervous, but they had convinced him to settle in the middle.Â
âYouâll be fine, Lo. Donât worry, Iâll save you if you fall in,â Finn had said, settling behind him.Â
When Logan still looked a little nervous, Leo told him they didnât have to do this, although he was extremely excited to try.Â
Leo loved kayaking. Not only did his family do a lot of boating, but they also owned kayaks, and would use them whenever they could. It had been awhile since heâs been kayaking. Whenever they went to New Orleans, the boys insisted on going out into the boat, which Leo cheerfully obliged.Â
After Finn had coaxed Logan into the kayak, whispering something in his ear that Logan responded to with a look at Leo and a wicked grin, he had settled in with more enthusiasm.Â
âHow did you know I like to kayak?â Leo asked, attempting to turn from his front seat to ask them.Â
âI remember you saying something about them. And Wyatt was talking to me about all the kayaking you guysâve done. I asked him if you liked it and he said it was one of your favorite hobbies growing up,â Logan said from directly behind him. Â
âWhich is crazy that we didnât know that! I thought we knew everything there was to know about our nutter butter baby, but you surprise us every day!â Finn called from further back.Â
âI didnât realize this place had kayaking or I would have dragged you two here a long time ago!â Leo told them as he paddled. There was a lot of drag from the back, but he was used to a one-person kayak, so maybe that was it. âThis sure is a workout!â He attempted to paddle harder, making a bit of progress, feeling the pull of his muscles in his shoulders and back.Â
As he continued, he realized that his boys hadnât said anything for at least a minute. When he glanced back, he just saw the two of them staring at him, oars in hand, but neither paddling. Loganâs mouth was open in little o and a pretty blush peppered his cheeks, Finn was just looking at him dreamily, with a smirk.Â
âGod, Le, we should have taken you kayaking before now.âÂ
âThis is doing things to me, buerre.âÂ
Leo blushed once again, glaring at them.Â
âI wondered why I was feeling so much drag back there. Are you two going to help or are you going to ogle all day?âÂ
âIs the second one an option?â Finnâs voice piped up.Â
âYour shoulders, Le, Finn was right about this,â he felt the kayak shift and hands touching his back, âyouâre so strong. Keep going!âÂ
Leo had certainly bulked up the past few years, and his shoulders, especially, had gotten a lot broader in the process.Â
âWhat am I going to do with you two?â Leo asked, complying and continuing to paddle.Â
âI certainly have some ideas,â Finn said.Â
When he had finally convinced them to help him, they started making progress, fighting against the wind pushing their boat away.Â
For the most part, they stayed relatively dry, except for when Finn exclaimed excitedly from the back as a few ducks floated toward their kayak, rocking the kayak and nearly capsizing them. Logan yelped and gripped the boat with an admonishing ârougeâ as Leo tried to steady them.Â
When they were steady once more, Logan turned to Finn, Leo glancing back to see Loganâs familiar grumpy pout.Â
âAllez, Iâm done.âÂ
âSomething making you nervous?â Finn asked, innocently. âYou have a life jacket and everything! And you can swim!âÂ
âJe sais, maisâŚâÂ
âLetâs go back,â Leo said, happy to stop if it helped Logan.Â
âI donât want to ruinâŚâÂ
âNon, Lo. Letâs go, Iâd like to be dry again.âÂ
âAnd we can go to our next stop!â Finn said, excitedly from the back.Â
----
Thirty minutes later, now in dry clothing, they pulled into another park.Â
âMinigolfing?â Leo asked, reading the sign.Â
âOui!â Logan said from the back seat. âIâve never been, but Harz says itâs fun.âÂ
âWe were trying to think about what people do on summer dates, and this seemed like a good idea.âÂ
Leo hadnât been minigolfing since he was in middle school. He remembered he hadnât been very good. This one seemed like a large course, and he noticed a mix of colorful figurines of various animals around as they made their way in and Finn paid.Â
âSo how does this work?â Logan asked as they made their way to the first hole. Finn described the simple rules, showing him the card for if they wanted to keep score. Logan insisted they use it, as competitive as ever, even when it came to minigolf.Â
âAlright, Butter, you first!â Finn said, leading Leo onto the first course.Â
âWhy?âÂ
âMaybe I want to watch from behind,â he said with a wink. Leo rolled his eyes, glancing around. Luckily, the families that were there were well ahead of them on the course.Â
It took all of three holes for Logan to start swearing.Â
âYouâve got to aim it, Lo, love.â Finn told him.
âI am!â Logan fished his ball out of the little pool that he had hit it into, and set it on the green once more. He hit it again, a little too hard once again, the ball ricocheting off a rock.Â
âGentler, Lo,â Leo suggested. Logan tried once more, and the ball stopped right before the hole. He groaned as the ball bounced off the hole and back out on another swing. Logan swore quietly under his breath in French. He finally hit it in, with a sigh, taking the ball out and talking to it.Â
âI have a feeling you hate me. But trust me, the feelingâs mutual!âÂ
Leo chuckled, Finn barely looked up from the score card.Â
âSo shall I put that down as maybeâŚa three?â Logan had hit it at least eight above par, but he and Finn had both made par, so Finn seemed to feel bad.Â
âNon, rouge, donât go easy on me. That was just a fluke.â He sidled up next to Finn, taking the pencil and writing in an eight.Â
âAlright,â Finn said, laughing, giving Logan and Leo a kiss each before moving onto the next one.Â
By the time Logan had hit his ball ten times, without making it into the hole, he started shouting once more.Â
âIâm literally a professional athlete! My literal job is to get a puck in a net! And I canât even get this in the hole!âÂ
Finn, who was closer to Logan, muttered something under his breath, most likely something inappropriate from the curve of his mouth, and Logan fought a grin, shoving Finn on the arm instead with a shake of his head.Â
Then, âUncle Tremzy?âÂ
There were running feet and an excited giggle as a tiny figure with red hair flew through the green to latch onto Loganâs legs.Â
It took Leoâs brain a moment to catch up before someone was calling, âRemy!â and a hand was patting him on the shoulder.Â
âHey, guys!â Remus said, gold club in hand. âFunny seeing you here!âÂ
The man looked a little frazzled, but grinned at them.Â
Remy Potter, who was now being swung up into Finnâs arms, giggled, âUncle Remus, Uncle Leo, look! Iâm flying!â Finn swung her around once more before setting her down.Â
âHey, Loops!â He greeted. âWhereâs the rest of the gang? Are you out with Lily and the kids?â Leo couldnât imagine Sirius ever going minigolfing.Â
âBabysitting, actually.âÂ
âHey, Remus, did you find her? Oh, hey guys!â Sirius said, coming into their view, leading two kids by the hands, Harry trailing after him.Â
âHey, Cap, baby Loops, all the little LilyPots.â When he had first heard them, Finn had been obsessed with the ship-names that fans often called his teammates and friends. He would often use the names to poke fun at the couples. By now, Finn just used them unironically, Leo guessed it had turned into a habit.Â
âHaving fun?â Sirius asked.Â
âWell, some of us are,â Leo said, glancing at Logan, who had kneeled down to talk to Remy, simultaneously tightening one of her pigtails that had come undone in her flight.Â
âWell, if this game wasnât so impossible!âÂ
âOh, youâve got one of them, too, huh?â Remus asked, as he looked back at Sirius. Etta, their three-year-old, was now next to Remus, looking to be picked up.Â
âThis game is rigged!â Sirius shot back.Â
âJust because an eight-year-old is beating you.âÂ
âActually, a six-year-old,â Harry said, pointing at Evie Potter, who was hiding slightly behind Sirius, looking a bit overwhelmed by all the people.Â
âIâm winning, too!â Etta said, now in Remusâs arms. She looked adorable with her little strawberry sunhat, small dark braids poking out, a little competitive pout on her face.
âOui, ma chĂŠrie. Youâre beating your Dada and I! But only because Reggie taught you how to golf! Unfair advantagem,â Sirius said.Â
âCan Uncle Regulus teach me how to golf?â Harry asked, looking hopeful.Â
âI think Iâll be signing up Sirius for some golf lessons with Uncle Regulus,â Remus said, with a smile aimed at Sirius.Â
âPretentious pĂŠdant,â Sirius muttered, but looked fond. âThis game is impossible. But I guess itâs fun. Even if Iâm being beaten by my godchildren and my three-year-old.âÂ
âAnd your husband,â Remus reminded, earning him a glare and a laugh from Leo.Â
âWell, loser gets ice cream!â Sirius said, smiling at the kids.Â
âI want ice cream!â Remy said, now running circles around them all with all the unbridled energy of an extra hyper four-year-old that Lily insisted was all James Potterâs genes. âIce cream, ice cream, ice cream!âÂ
âI think Uncle Sirius meant to say, loser buys ice cream!â Remus said, Remy now pulling him back toward their game.Â
âLetâs go, Uncle Remus.âÂ
âWell, best of luck to you,â Sirius said, pointedly looking at Logan as he made to leave.
âThanks, Cap, but I donât need it. Iâm gonna crush them, they donât even know!âÂ
They all laughed, then Sirius was pulled away by the slightly less unbridled, hyper energy of Harry Potter.Â
Leo waved to Evie, who was glancing back at them as she was led away by Sirius. She smiled and returned the wave.Â
âIâll never understand how Pots had such a calm kid,â Finn said, waving at her, as well.Â
âGuess all the energy was pent up for the next one!â Logan said, laughing as they watched Remus barely stop Remy from jumping into one of the pools of water, one hand gripping her arm and pulling her away, the other still holding Etta. âI got her,â Sirius called as he took Remy into his arms, hauling her over his shoulder and upside down with an echo of giggles.Â
When they finished their game and went to get their own ice cream, Logan had in fact not crushed them, and instead got one of the highest scores the workers had seen from someone who had tried.Â
âYou know, in my field of work, high scores are quite impressive,â Logan said to them, after autographing the score sheet when one of the blushing workers asked for his signature.Â
âWeâre gonna have to get you and Sirius to come here and see who wins,â Finn said, when they made their way to a picnic table in the shade of a tree.Â
âI would so beat Cap in minigolf!â Logan insisted, stealing a lick of Leoâs ice cream cone.Â
âHey, tongue to yourself!â Leo said, laughing as Logan kissed him, tasting the sweet taste on his lips. Â
âYeah, you were right, Finn, that is definitely not something we usually say!â
--------
I hope you enjoyed! Logan being bad at minigolf is hilarious to me!
In the next couple of weeks, I will be publishing a story about the Potter kids (specifically the birth of their third baby, Remy) so if you're interested, watch out for that. It will be posted on here and on my ao3! Thanks for reading!
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 3 (again)! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for these boys, who are the perfect characters for writing fluff! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
Rest, love: Early Morning, Tiptoe
For context: This takes place after Finn and Leo have retired. Finn is a professor and Leo is a stay-at-home dad for their kids. Logan still plays hockey with the Lions!
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
------------------------------
Leo heard the door squeak open and tiptoes on the floor before the bed bent down next to him. The slight chill on the sheets next to him told him that neither of his boys were with him, and hadnât been for a little while at least.Â
Groggily, and without opening his eyes, he reached for the figure, trying to determine who it was and if he had to get up yet. He felt the small figure curl into his arms and he relaxed, content to cuddle with Margo for the time being.Â
Not even two minutes later, the door creaked open once more and heavier feet walked around the bed.Â
There was a shift in the girl in his arms and then the soft whispered voice of Logan.Â
âDaddyâs trying to sleep, Margo. Allez, out of here.â Then there was a giggle as the girl was taken up and out of Leoâs arms.Â
Leo cracked his eyes open just enough to see Logan wrestling the girl onto his back and sneaking out of the room, closing the door on the way. He closed his eyes once again.Â
A handful of minutes later, Leo couldnât have guessed how long, the door creaked open a third time, then closed, and someone joined him on the bed once more, this time near his back. Leo rolled over, his eyes still closed, and found someoneâs shoulder. He nuzzled in, and could smell a scent that could only be Logan.Â
He groaned, nuzzling in further before a hand came up and ran through his hair, then down his neck. Then the motion was repeated with varying forms of pressure added, moving onto his shoulders. Leo groaned once again.Â
God, that felt good. He hadnât realized he was feeling so tense.Â
âIf you keep sounding like that, Iâm not sure if weâll make it downstairs today.â Leo smiled, still sleepy, at Loganâs gravelly morning voice.Â
âThe kids?âÂ
âFinnâs got âem.âÂ
âBreakfast?âÂ
âTaken care of, even Finn and I can make yogurt and fruit.âÂ
âMilk, too?â
âOui, Viviâs all fed and changed.âÂ
Leo sighed once more.Â
âI love you.âÂ
âLove you more, mon soleil.âÂ
âTime to get up?âÂ
âNah. I was sent in here to keep you company. Finnâs taking them to the park for a bit after breakfast.âÂ
âNeed help?âÂ
âNon, his specific instructions were âmake sure he sleeps at least two more hoursâ because apparently 'even his magic boo-boo healing kisses canât heal your poor tired eyes.'â Leo snorted at that. Finnâs magic boo-boo healing kisses had definitely saved them a lot of money on bandaids the last few years. âSounds like you had a late night, then?âÂ
âMore like an early morning.â Finn had found him at three in the morning, trying his best to get their four-month-old to take his bottle. He had been up since one, when Oliver had woken up the first time and refused to drink the milk he offered. He knew that Logan had fed him at midnight, and so Leo had simply changed him and put him back to sleep, only to be woken up once again at two thirty to a hungry and irritable baby. When Finn had walked in, Leo had nearly cried, and Finn had taken one look and grabbed the bottle, the baby, and led Leo back out of the room to go back to sleep. But they all knew that Leo had a terrible time trying to sleep if he heard the least bit of crying, and Finn had come back thirty minutes later to find Leo still awake, feeling guilty about his inability to help, simply staring at Loganâs sleeping figure.Â
Strangely enough, he must have slept straight through their usual five am wake up feeding call, which Finn often took care of before going out for his morning run.Â
And here he was, still sleeping at whatever time this was.Â
âWhatâs the time?âÂ
âJust past eight.âÂ
âHave to go soon?â Logan often left for practice by nine, and Finn should definitely be out the door for school.Â
âNot today, beurre. Itâs Saturday. I donât have a game today. Finnâs not teaching. Youâre allowed to sleep. Just rest, love.âÂ
He let the low French wash over him as he sighed into the kiss Logan left on his shoulder, then on his cheek.Â
He drifted off for a few more minutes before he heard the distinct sound of crying from downstairs.Â
âOllie,â Leo said, moving to get up. But Logan pulled him back before he had even gotten to the edge of the bed.Â
âFinnâs got it, soleil. Please just relax. Let us take care of you. As Finn would say, âyouâre so bad at relaxing.ââ
He would say that. He had said that, especially since theyâd had kids.Â
And sure enough, the crying stopped a minute later.Â
There was more sound from downstairs. An excited squeal from Margo, Oliverâs giggles, running footsteps, Finnâs clear voice with an, âAlletz go!â followed by their three-year-oldâs protests at the terrible French.Â
They had clearly taught her well.Â
âHeâs so loud,â Logan said, extremely fondly.Â
As they heard the door close, Logan started petting through Leoâs hair once again, and he relaxed further into Loganâs chest.Â
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 3! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for creating these boys and allowing me to put them into a thousand different scenarios! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
Escape: Zoo
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!
When Logan had heard that the Gryffindor Lions would be running a fundraising event for endangered species at the Gryffindor Zoo, he had assumed that it would be more fun. Not that the beginning of the day hadnât been fun. And the middle, too. But the end? A huge bore.Â
The beginning of the day had been a blast! They had started off the day with a photoshoot wearing the zooâs merch, and had been presented with the collaboration merch that the zoo would be selling, with animals playing hockey. Then it had been a whole lot of signing. T-shirts, figurines, bobble-heads, cups, posters, you name it, Logan had signed it.Â
Then they had been brought to an area that was set up for another shoot, but instead of more pictures, they were each called up for a video, being asked questions from young Lions fans.Â
That had been fun to watch. Leo had answered honestly that his favorite animal was alligators, because they âreminded him of home.â
Thomas had confidently told the kid that was interviewing him that Sirius could definitely beat a bear in combat. James had answered that his spirit animal was a stag, because âthey're pretty noble and protective, I think.â A shockingly sober answer for the usually quite hyper winger. Kuny had confidently told the kids that if he had to turn into an animal for a day, it would have to be Yoda. Remus had been asked why he was named after a wolf-man, and he had stared directly into the camera and said âmy parents like to joke. You know my younger brother has a perfectly normal name?â Finn had answered that penguins would be the best hockey players out of all the animals. Sirius had said no, heâd never actually ridden a lion or any other animal before, but heâd probably like to if they wouldnât bite him (and he told them that he probably could not beat a bear in a fight, but maybe he could beat one at hockey). Dumo had answered that he would love to have a pet giraffe, but he already had four wild animals at home. And Logan had had a tough time choosing between running as fast as a cheetah or be as strong as an elephant (he chose the cheetah, âso I could always beat Finn in a race.â)Â
Then they had been shuffled outside to take pictures with fans and sign more signatures, this time with actual people. Then they had been taken in pairs or trios to do another video shoot, this time answering trivia questions. Later, Logan found out that Sirius and James had been completely beaten by Remus, because of his extensive knowledge on Lions (âlook guys, I was a Lions fan when I was young. I knew everything there was to know about them!â). Leo had come out of his interview with Cole and Thomas a little red faced, and Thomas had gone on and on about how Leo knew everything there was to know about animals and that those two hadnât stood a chance! Logan and Finn, having just left their interview with Dumo, had wrapped him up in their arms, cooing at him until he laughed, smiling and blushing some more.Â
After that, they had lunch, before they spent their afternoon walking around to exhibits, where they featured players participating in special celebratory events. First, âretired player Kasey âthe Blizzardâ Winterâ had gone in to meet the penguin that had been named after him. They had all watched, smiling, Finn obviously a little jealous of getting to actually meet the penguins. Kasey had shown up right after lunch before being swept off to get dressed and miced for the event.Â
A few players, who had volunteered at lunch, had gone into the alligator and crocodile exhibit to feed them. Finn and Thomas had been the first to volunteer, so they had been chosen. Leo had nervously started telling Finn what to do if an alligator started snapping, which had caused Finn, a new fear in his eyes, to pull Leo over with him, insisting to the manager that Leo needed to come, too. She had nodded quickly before leaving. Logan had watched, a little nervously, while they fed the alligators. He took a video, captioned it âThe boys weâve chosen to marry!â, adding a heart before sending it to Noelle. She had called not two minutes later, insisting that he put her on face time so she could watch, too.Â
They had gone to the wolf exhibit, where the zoo was fundraising for a bigger habitat, and had Remus walk around the habitat and meet the only friendly wolf, ironically named Romulus.Â
Finally, Sirius, Logan, and James had been brought into the lion exhibit, where they were naming the new baby lion cub Stanley after their win. Sirius had actually been handed the cub to hold, and Logan and James had been given a small cup that resembled the Stanley Cup and a Gryffindor Lions banner. They had smiled, Logan spotting his boys in the crowd, Finn looking excited and Leo looking adoringly at the baby cub in Siriusâs arms.Â
----------
So after the whirlwind of fun events all day, now they were here. At the end of a donor dinner. By then, they had finished with the speeches, the clapping, the actual dinner, and people had been standing around, talking to donors and players for nearly an hour.Â
Logan had managed to escape to the side of the room. Now he watched as Finn talked animatedly to a woman, probably about hockey, from the look in his eye. Leo talked quietly with Kasey, Remus, and Lily, who had Harry perched on her hip. Sirius and James were also talking to a donor, having a more serious conversation, it seemed. Sirius looked calm, but Logan knew that heâd be itching to be done with this part of the night. James looked about ready to vibrate through the floor, glancing around, eyes landing on Lily and Harry. The Dumais kids had been growing more and more restless, Marc and Louis shoving each other with their shoulders, before Louis knocked into Celeste, and she chastised them softly. Logan could almost imagine the reprimand, having heard it so many times when he had lived there. Katie was hanging off Pascalâs leg. Pascal rubbed at her back, muttering something down at her. Then brown eyes found his, and he was met with a tornado of an eight-year-old.Â
âLo, Lo, Lo, Lo,â Katie said as he picked her up and she giggled. âIâm so bored. Please take us to see more animals! Please, please, please.âÂ
Then the stage lit up once more.Â
âIf everyone could make their way to the auditorium, weâll have a short video message from our top executive, followed by a cocktail hour.â Logan nearly groaned.Â
âNo more!â Katie cried softly, and Logan had to agree. He glanced over as people started filtering into the auditorium. Would they really miss him in there?Â
âKatie, go grab your brothers and sister and meet me outside.â Katie excitedly shuffled down from his arms, skipping off to do as she was told. Logan made eye contact with Finn across the room, who was looking around for him. He gestured toward the door, then met Leoâs eyes, who had clearly seen the gesture, as well. They both smiled. As they made their escape, Logan quickly met Dumoâs eye, gesturing to his phone, where heâd sent a quick text.Â
Making an escape. Taking the kids to see more animals. Let me know if weâre needed.Â
Pascal looked back at him, giving him a smile, a nod, and then taking Celesteâs hand and guiding her toward the auditorium.Â
As he made his way out to where the Dumais kids were waiting patiently for them all, looking at a map Adele held, he noticed Finn, now with Harry in his arms.Â
âThank the lord weâre escaping, Lo. Didnât know how much more of that I could take. Picked up this stray little flowerpot on the way out. Thought he might like to escape as well.âÂ
Logan smiled, rustling Harryâs hair, kissing Finn on the cheek and pulling Leo down so he could give him a matching one.Â
âSurprised youâre joining, Peanut. Youâre usually such a rule follower.âÂ
âIâm on Finn with this one. Wasnât that the cocktail hour? Besides, weâll be back for the 7:00 silent firework show.â Leo loved his fireworks, especially if they were wild-life friendly. Logan nodded, smiling at him.
âWouldnât miss it. Weâve got a good hour and a half.â Â
Leo moved over to Finn, giving him a kiss on the cheek, tickling Harryâs belly. The two-year-old giggled and launched himself over to Leoâs arms. Leo caught him easily and gave his forehead a kiss.Â
âReady to see more animals, Harry?âÂ
âSnates!â Harry cried.Â
âOh yeah, Lily made me promise to take him to see the snakes,â Finn said. âShe said James refused because âSnakes are evilâ and she canât really stand the sight of them.âÂ
âWell, snakes it is!â Logan said. âThat good with you guys?â The Dumais kids all nodded. Louis insisted on seeing the polar bear afterwards, Marc insisted on the monkey house after that (âI have to visit my spider monkey friends!â).Â
âSounds like a plan!âÂ
âFollow me!â Adele said, taking off. Katie insisted on getting a piggy-back ride (which, despite his complaints of her getting âtoo big,â Logan was happy to give before she actually got too big to want them anymore), as the boys and Adele ran ahead toward the reptile house.Â
YWatching Finn chase after them, darting around strollers and families, Leo talking softly with Harry about snakes next to him, and Katie talking excitedly in his ear, Logan realized that this was the zoo event he had wanted to participate in.
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 2! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for these wonderful boys that I sometimes need to torment! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
For context: This takes place when (spoilers!) Logan is in New York and missing his boys.Â

------------------------------
Logan woke to the alarm on his phone. He groaned, checking the clock. Twenty minutes before his boysâ game. The Rangers had the night off. Which wouldnât matter anyway since he had come down with strep throat three days prior. The few members on the team who had caught it were being thoroughly quarantined from the rest of the team, and were in frequent contact with the teamâs medical specialist, who was directing them on what to take to get better soon. It didnât do the team any favors having multiple players out sick in the middle of the season.Â
Exhausted from his very entertaining day of pacing around his apartment, missing his boys, and trying to eat around a sore throat, Logan had decided to lay down for a while before his boysâ game. Because they were now across the country from him in California, a fact that made him a bit jumpy and increasingly homesick the more he thought about it, the game didnât start until 9 pm New York time. So, after a meager dinner, he had barely remembered to take his antibiotics and set an alarm before he passed out in bed.Â
Now, he pulled himself up to a sitting position, grabbing for the water next to him. He flicked on the TV in his room, hoping he wouldnât fall asleep before seeing his boys. Luckily, this once, his body obeyed and he saw the team on the ice, camera panning on their faces during the national anthem. Finn stood right next to Leo, arm around him and, with a wrench to Loganâs heart, Loganâs necklace at his lips. Knowing them, theyâd switch the necklace after the first period, as usual.Â
Logan smiled, settling in as the game began. By the end of the first period, the Lions were winning 3-0. The Anaheim Ducks were no match for the Lions. He yelled weakly as Finn got a shot in, followed quickly by Remus. Then the Ducks got one in, and Logan watched as Leoâs eyebrows narrowed. Logan remembered that intense look. When he had gotten one past Leo on one of his first games against them, causing Leoâs eyes to go hard, and the blond boy turning away in a clear attempt to avoid making Logan feel guilty. In a perhaps naive thought, he hoped he wouldnât have to see that look aimed at him ever again.Â
Logan felt himself drifting off at the end of the second period, falling asleep to a score of 5-1, Lions.Â
----
He woke up feeling strange. He heard voices in the hallway of his apartment. No. That wasnât right. It was their apartment. Back in Gryffindor. Their bed. The bedding he had helped pick out that Finn promised they would âruin.â Leoâs black-out curtains were shut, a few of Finnâs socks littering the ground.Â
But wasnât heâŚ
And then he heard them. Leo and Finn. They were right outside the door. Or maybe right at the bottom of the stairs. Talking. Calling for him, maybe.Â
And wasnât that nice? They had come to see him when he was sick. They had brought him home. They were taking care of him.Â
He got on shaky feet, holding onto the bed for support, as he made his way out of the room.Â
Then he heard Finnâs always too loud voice yell out âBye, Lo!â And the door shutting.Â
âNo!â Logan hurried after them. âNon, come back. Donât leave yet. I didnât get to say goodâŚâ but he never did reach the door. Because instead, he was falling. Tumbling down.Â
Thud.Â
Everything went black.Â
---
The next thing Logan saw was a flash of red hair, and felt a frantic patting on his cheek. Stressed voices. One sounded familiar. The hurried slightly accented voice, too loud for his ears. He tried to blink his eyes open once again, but all he saw was a flash of blond hair.Â
Oh. Red and blond.Â
Oh. He knew them.Â
He felt his breathing calm and heard himself mutter something. Then a hand was gripping his. He stared at the figure. The blond one.Â
Leo.Â
But as the hand squeezed around his, he realized it was too small. Too small. Too small.Â
Not his Leo.Â
And he panicked.Â
------
Finn had called him after second period, asking if he could check on Logan, who supposedly wasnât answering his texts.Â
âNice shot, Fishy Fish!â Alex said when he answered the phone, smiling as he watched Nat leave to make some popcorn.Â
âHey, Al.â Finnâs tone set him on edge and his smile dropped instantly.Â
âWhatâs wrong?âÂ
âIâŚI might be being paranoid, but⌠could you check up on Lo? We were going to call before the game, but I think he probably went to bed or maybe forgot. But Leo and Iâve been texting him and heâs not answered either of us. And⌠I wouldnât ask you, but, well, Iâm not there and I canâtâŚâ Finnâs voice broke alongside Alexâs heart. He of all people knew what it was like to have the ones you loved far away.Â
âOf course, Finn. Donât worry. Iâll go check on him,â Alex stood, moving to grab his car keys. âIâll head over there right now. Iâve got him. And you just focus on winning this game, little rival.âÂ
âThanks, Alex. And remember, he gets really grumpy when heâs sick and he can be a pain about being taken care of, so justâŚgo easy on him.âÂ
âOh, Iâm well aware.â Alex had been the one to bring him to the doctor after the boy had refused, saying that he wasnât sick and was just tired because he couldnât sleep in such an empty bed. Alex had no doubt that Logan was missing his boys, and that the stress had probably not helped his immune system any. But he couldnât ignore the obvious signs of strep, especially after two of their teammates had already gone down with it. The players were under direct warning to limit in-person contact with their sick teammates. And so the past few days, Nat had been going to check on Logan and reporting back to his boys, since a sick Logan had a really bad habit of forgetting to let anyone know if he was okay.Â
But since Finn had asked him directly, and had sounded so worried, Alex decided he could go today.Â
âIâll come with, too. Iâve been helping that stubborn grump the past few days,â Nat said, smiling fondly about her almost brother-in-law. âIâm sure he just fell asleep early and didnât read his texts.âÂ
But the sight that had met them was anything but the calm, sleeping boy they had expected.Â
Alex nearly had a heart attack when he turned the spare key he had forced Logan to give him into the lock, turned, and seen a tan head surrounded by blood, body laying in a crumpled mess on the bottom of the staircase.Â
âLogan!â Nat seemed just as shocked as he was, but she was clearly better in an emergency. She knelt down right away, feeling for a pulse at his neck. As she sighed in relief at finding one, Alex knelt down next to her and patted his cheek.Â
âTremzy? You with us?âÂ
Eyes flickered, but there was no recognition. Alex spoke to him, hoping to wake him up. Later, he wouldnât be able to recall what he had even said. But the boys eyes flickered once more, and his breathing got less labored.Â
Nat grabbed his hand, trying to pat him awake, taking a turn talking as Alex quickly got up and dialed 911.Â
As he talked with the operator, describing the situation, Nat called out to him.Â
âHis heart rateâs gone up, it seems like heâs panicking.âÂ
âHeâs really stressed out, I donât think he knows where he is,â Alex relayed the information. The operator quickly and calmly told him what to do. Try their best to comfort and elevate his feet to help try to avoid Logan going into shock. âAlright, weâll do that,â Alex said, moving to the boy who looked much too young at the moment.Â
âOkay, stay on the phone. The ambulance will be there in five minutes.âÂ
âAlright.â Alex set the phone to speaker, moving to do as he was told, explaining to Nat.Â
âYou should sit by his head. Talk to him. Your voice is close enough to Finnâs for him to maybe calm down a bit from it.âÂ
So thatâs what he did. For the next five minutes, he stayed calm, talking to Logan in a gentle voice, trying his best to imitate what his brother sounded like.Â
Then there was a knock on the door. A stretcher. Talking. Someone telling him that only one person could be in the ambulance.Â
âYou go, keep doing what you were doing, I think it was working,â Nat said. âPromise Iâll be right behind.â Â
And so the whole ride, he spoke gentle words as he watched Logan remain unconscious, breathing steady, and he thought about how he was going to tell his baby brother about this.Â
-------
Logan opened his eyes, blearily, staring at the ceiling. He first noticed the bright lights. Then the insistent beeping. He was stiff, muscles aching as if moving them would be painful.Â
He tried to wrack his brain for what he was doing before waking up. The last thing he remembered was running after his boys. And an imposter pretending to be Leo running around his house and holding his hand, although he wasnât sure if the last one had been a dream or not.Â
As he turned his head to the side, he noticed tubes. Running with some sort of liquid. Connected to his arms. Running a liquid into his arm.Â
Mon dieu, he hated needles.Â
What was he doing in the emergency room?Â
He tried to push himself up when arms surrounded him.Â
âLo. Oh my God, Lo.â And there was a familiar sob and more arms fell around him on the other side. Red and blond hair filled his vision. And a very familiar scent of home.Â
It took his brain a minute. ButâŚ
âLe, Finn!âÂ
His boys!
Then the arms disappeared, moving to help him sit up.Â
He turned to look at their faces, Finnâs nose red, tears shown on his freckled cheeks. And Leo, blue eyes darting around the room, seeming to be staving off tears and failing miserably.Â
âWhatâŚwhyâŚâ Logan tried to ask, looking between the boys who were now kissing his cheeks, his forehead, his nose. Anywhere they could reach. And he was content for a moment, soaking in the feeling of his boys being there.Â
âHe lives!â A loud voice said as the door to the room opened and shut.Â
Alex.Â
âWhatâŚwhat am I doing here?âÂ
âYou donât remember, Lo?â Finn asked, nervous. Leo set a calming hand on Finnâs arm. Â
âThe doctor said that a little confusion is completely normal.â Then he turned to Logan, taking his hand into his large one. Now that felt right. âYouâŚyou fell down the stairs in your apartment after sleepwalking. The doctor thinks it was a mix of stress, a lack of sleep, and vivid dreams from your antibiotics that probably caused the sleepwalking.âÂ
âSleepwalking?â Logan asked, still trying to catch up. âButâŚI was following you out of my apartment. YouâŚyou were leaving without a kiss!âÂ
Finnâs eyes looked sad once more and he peppered kisses on Loganâs face.Â
âNever, baby. That was a dream. I would never do that. I will always wait for your goodbye kisses.âÂ
âYou got away with bruises and a nasty cut on your head, but no concussion,â Leo said, looking incredibly relieved. âIt could have been so much worse. Not that itâs good. But a concussionâŚâ Logan took the moment to pull Leo in, rubbing him on the back in an attempt at comfort.Â
âIâm okay, buerre.âÂ
âYouâre really not,â Finn said. âBut that is the reason that Kasey and Nat are currently installing babygates and door alarms in your apartment.âÂ
âReally?â Logan asked, incredulously. Heâd never sleep walked before.Â
âYes really. Iâm not getting another call from California that you fell down the stairs! Nearly gave me a heartattack,â Finn said. Leo nodded, looking stressed once more.Â
âHonestly, you were the calmer one. Never again, Lo,â Leo said and Logan kissed his nose, whispering a promise in low French.Â
âAnd, you will be under the strict roadie roomie protection of Alex.âÂ
Alex had offered when Logan had joined the team that they room together on roadies so that Logan didnât feel so lonely. At first he had refused. But now he could see that it might be beneficial.
âBetter not snore too loud, Tremz,â Alex piped out from the couch in the room.Â
âNot as loud as Fish says you snore,â Logan said.Â
And now Alex was punching Finn in the arm and they were laughing. Leo just held Logan tighter.Â
âI just want you to be safe, Lo.âÂ
âAnd I will be, Le. Promise Iâll take care of myself. Speaking of which, I still have strep throat.â But Leo just held him tighter.Â
âDonât care. Youâre not getting rid of me so easily.âÂ
And a week later, Logan had recovered and Leo was out with strep throat. Which just gave Logan another excuse to visit his boys back in Gryffindor.
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 1 (again)! As always, thank you to @lumosinlove for the characters and stories that give endless entertainment to my sometimes very dull life! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
Towel Off: Office, Shower (also on ao3)
For context: This takes place after Finn and Leo have retired. Finn is a professor and Leo is a stay-at-home dad for their kids. Logan still plays hockey with the Lions!
Slight warning: This one is a bit NSFW, (but honestly when it comes to these boys, when is it not?) Nothing explicit, just implied.Â
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
---------â------------------
Finn set his keys down, heading to his office to safely deposit his bag there. He had done this for the past four years, ever since Margo learned to crawl, and had gotten into his teaching bag. He had had to tell his students that his baby ate their homework.Â
But what he opened the door to was certainly not on his bingo card for the week.Â
There, sitting behind the desk chair that was facing the window, was Logan. Which wouldnât be that out of the ordinary. Had he not sat in nothing but a towel. And a rather loose fitting towel at that.Â
Finn felt his mouth open in shock.Â
âLo,â Finn began.
Logan stood up, and the towel started sliding off.Â
âNice of you to join me, Harzy.âÂ
âLoâŚâÂ
âBeen a long day? Want to relax?â Logan inched toward him, but Finn set a hand on his shoulder, the skin warm.Â
âOh, come on, Finn. Donât tell me this isnât doing it for you!â Loganâs eyes flicked down to Finnâs slacks and he gave a smirk. âYou wouldnât convince me when I have that for proof!âÂ
âBut LoâŚâ
They had only the briefest warning of little feet running before the door burst open and a hurricane of red hair came in, and Logan let out what could only be described as a yelp.Â
âDada! Daddy wants to know what you want forâŚâ the girl paused, taking in the scene. Finn stood, partially blocking Logan, who had grabbed the towel in record time, swinging it back around his waist. âPapa? Why are you naked in Dadaâs office?âÂ
âWâŚwellâŚI wasâŚlooking for my clothes,â Logan said. Finn turned to him, eyebrow raised. Was that really the best he could do?
The door creaked open once more and there was Leo, holding little Oliver in his arms, apron on and looking ready to cook.Â
As his eyes took in the scene, his confusion turned into a smirk.Â
âAh, I see that Papaâs home.âÂ
âYeah, anâ heâs in Dadaâs office looking for his clothes.âÂ
Now it was Leoâs turn to look at him with an eyebrow raised.Â
âWhâŚwhat happened to the park?â Logan sputtered out, looking between the two other adults.Â
âItâs raining,â Leo said simply. âWe might try for a walk after dinner to get out the wiggles.â Leo leaned down and grabbed Margo in his free arm, picking her up and hauling her over his shoulder in a flurry of giggles.Â
âYouâre gettinâ so big, punkin! You both are!â Margo let out a squeal as Leo squeezed her and then set a small kiss on Oliverâs head. Leo glanced back at them and Finn almost melted at the sight. âHow about pasta?âÂ
âSounds good!â Finn said.Â
âOuais, works for me!â Logan said, looking guilty now.Â
âUm, I think Iâll shower first,â Finn said.Â
âOh, me too.â Logan said, grinning.Â
âBut youâre already in a towel, Papa! And your hairâs wet! And you always shower right when you get home!âÂ
âCome help me make the sauce, Margs.â Leo glanced back at them once more as he carried the kids out of the office, amusement in his eyes, along with something else. A look that they both knew meant theyâd be in for some more fun later.Â
Happy OâKnutzy Week 2026 Day 1! Thank you to @lumosinlove for their wonderful characters and the hours I have spent obsessing over said characters! And thank you to @oknutzy-week-2026 for making all of this possible!Â
I would also like to thank @iluvchick3nz and @fruitcoops for their amazing works that I have come back to read time and time again since I joined this fandom! I hope to meet many more SW-inspired fans and writers throughout the week!
Buon Appetito!: Italy, Aging, Longing, Honeymoon (also on ao3)
For context: This takes place after Finn has retired (heâs a teacher), but that's not really relevant to the plot.
This is my first fic of my first OâKnutzy week, so I would love to hear if you liked it! Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Â
--------------------------------------------
âYou know I know how to make pasta and other Italian dishes, but not the true, authentic Italian way! And Iâll learn to make the perfect cannolis. Donât even mention panna cotta! And tiramisu! Oh, itâll be so amazing to learn, and a great credential to have, especially if I ever want to open a bakery! And your sweet tooth, Lo. And Finn, they have these seafood dishes! Youâd absolutely love them!âÂ
âI love everything you make, sunshine,â Finn said.Â
Leo glanced up from where he was looking at his computer, and found his two boys staring back at him, lovingly. Leo felt himself blush.Â
âThat is, if I get approved for the program.âÂ
âThey would be fools if they donât accept you, mon soleil. Mon joli beurre. Mon homme parfait et talenteaux,â Logan had inched closer and closer, and was now peppering his neck with kisses. Leo laughed as Finn came up from his other side, holding him from the back. He relaxed back into his arms, pulling Logan with him.Â
âWhat time do you find out?â Finn asked, biting softly near his ear. Leo swatted him off, laughing.Â
â3 a.m. here. Italy time, you know? But Iâll probably be awake anyway.âÂ
âWeâll wait up with you, Le!â Logan said.Â
âOo-ways, my pretty nutter butter baby.âÂ
âNo, weâve got work in the morning. Lo and I have practice and youâve got to teach!âÂ
Finn waved him off, going back to nibbling at his ear.Â
âOkay, okay, enough.â Leo stepped away from the onslaught and grinned. âThereâs no way you two are gonna make it to 3. Iâll give you âtil midnight at the latest. You two forget that youâre aging.â
Finn and Logan both opened their mouths in mock-offense at the statement.Â
âHow could you say that? Iâm as young and spriteful as Iâve always been!âÂ
âAnd Iâm even younger than him!â
-----
But sure enough, Leo accidently woke them up when he checked his inbox in bed right at 3 a.m., and he let out a soft shout of surprise.Â
Congratulations! You have been accepted to our week-long Italian cooking course in Rome, Italy during the weeks of July 6-12th. Michelin-star chefs and award winning bakers will assist in teaching this rigorous seven-day course. Please send your confirmation through this link. We are excited to have you join us!
Logan sat up next to him, green eyes blinking groggily.Â
âQoui?âÂ
âSorry, sorry, love.âÂ
âLe?â Finn asked from Loganâs other side.Â
âOh, I really didnât mean to wake you both up.â But Leo could barely contain his excitement as he nearly bounced where he sat. âBut I made it! I made it into the course!â After a moment, the news seemed to register to Finn, who shot up, basically climbing over Logan to give Leo a tight hug and a kiss. It took a moment longer to register with Logan, who was often groggy (and cranky) whenever he was woken up. But a smile came across his face as he realized what was happening.Â
âOh, Leo. Of course you did! Youâre so smart!âÂ
âAnd talented!âÂ
âAnd lovely!âÂ
âAnd pretty!âÂ
Leo laughed. âI donât think they considered that when they chose me.â Then, âIâm going to Italy!â Shocked. Elated.Â
âWe!â Logan said, pulling away for a second, looking him in the eye.Â
âWe?â Leo asked.Â
âOui, Oui, why are we saying yes?âÂ
âNon, mon poisson, I was correcting notre soleil. Thereâs no way youâre going to Italy without us! UnlessâŚyouâd rather we notâŚâ Logan gave him a serious look, clearly ready to shut down his thinking at any indication that they werenât invited.Â
As if they had to ask.Â
Leo just grinned at him.Â
âYouâll really come?âÂ
âOf course we will! Weâre a package deal. And now even Italy will know it!â Finn shouted out. Logan winced.
âSi fort, poisson!âÂ
âHmm, too bad I donât know what that means,â Finn said with a smile and a kiss to Loganâs jaw, turning back to Leo when he spoke.Â
âYou know I wonât have much time to explore or sight-see or anything.âÂ
âOui, but we can. And then weâll come back and try your lovely new cooking.â
âEat your Italian desserts under the Italian stars!â Finn agreed.Â
âTrust me, if youâre in Italy, you wonât be needing my cooking.âÂ
âWe love your cooking!âÂ
âOnly your cooking!âÂ
âIâll refuse to eat anything else.âÂ
Leo smiled, laying back down, followed by the other two. He had somehow found his way to the middle. Wrapped up in the arms of his boys, he was content to sleep and dream of Italian dishes and eating Italian desserts with his boys under the stars.Â
----
Logan heard the door open from his place on the couch, head on Finnâs stomach, listening to the rumbling of his chest as he read to him. The windows were open with the sweet summer breeze drifting in. And they were waiting just for this moment.Â
âSoleil!â Logan shot up, nearly hitting Finn in the chin. He smiled a little guiltily at Finnâs shocked look before Finn sat up himself, grinning.
âOur sunshine baby is home!âÂ
Leo looked at them, face a little red, grinning broadly. Like the sun peaking through the clouds on a rainy day.Â
âI told yâall you didnât have to stay up for me,â Leo said as Logan sidled up next to him, pulling Leo into a kiss.Â
âYâall!â Finn parroted before hugging Leo from the back.
âWeâre in Italy! You should be out sightseeing!âÂ
âNot without notre soleil!â Logan said, although he and Finn had been out sightseeing all day. They just wanted to be back at the hotel in time to greet Leo home.Â
âBesides, youâre the only sight I want to see!â Finn said, taking the bags from Leoâs hands and kissing his cheek.Â
Leo rolled his eyes and went a bit more red.Â
âWhat did you do today?â Logan asked, smiling as Leo went about explaining all of the techniques he learned in detail as Logan led him to sit down on the couch. Leo had a four-hour cooking class in the mornings and then a quick hour break for lunch, and a four-hour baking class in the evenings, leaving him with dozens of new recipes and techniques to try. And also leaving him dead tired when he got home.Â
Leo yawned, which interrupted his story about a professional baker telling him his cannolis were âmeraviglioso.â They had since moved to the couch, Leo in between them, where they were snacking on said cannolis, savoring the taste, Logan already planning to beg him to make him more when they got back home.Â
âEnough about me! I want to hear about your day! Where did you go? What did you do?âÂ
Finn started his monologue of their day in Vatican City.Â
â...And Lo got scared by a pigeon!â Finn finished excitedly.Â
âRouge, an unnecessary detail!âÂ
Leo just laughed, focus never leaving Finnâs face, unless Logan made a comment. It was clear that Leo had been longing to sight-see. It was his first time in Italy and he had been extremely excited for his boys to see everything. It was really too bad that he was so wiped out at the end of the day.Â
âWe wish you were there, mon cĹur.â Logan said, pulling Leo into him, Leo now resting half on Loganâs chest.Â
âIâm sorry you feel so left out, Le baby.â Leo moved to protest, but Finn just shook his head, pulling Leoâs legs over his lap, massaging his calves, which Logan knew were often tight after being on his feet all day. âYouâre so smart, so accomplished! Our own Italian chef!âÂ
âThat feels nice, Fish,â Leo said, sleepily. âMight fall asleep.âÂ
âWell, before you do thatâŚI had an ideaâŚâ Finnâs face had transformed into a grin, and Logan realized he didnât have any idea what Finn was going to say next.
âWhat are you up to, Rouge?â Because that grin could either mean something really good, or something kind of, sort of teetering on the edge of illegal.Â
âI thought that since our Butter was so busy with his cooking course and Lo and I have been exploring Rome all alone, that we could stay here for another week after your course ends. Just to see the sights again.âÂ
It was Leoâs turn to nearly hit Logan in the chin as he shot up.Â
âOh, dĂŠsolĂŠ, Lo.â Then he looked excitedly at Finn.âYou mean it, Fish?â Finn was grinning, smiling at the two of them. His face took on a nonchalant look.Â
âWell, you know, if you want to,â he said with a shrug. But Finn couldnât keep his face straight for long as Leo kissed him right on the mouth.Â
âOh, that would be lovely, Finn!â
âIâve already arranged everything. Thatâs what I was doing on my phone all day, Lo.â Logan remembered complaining about Finn kept taking phone calls, wanting him to keep walking and to, if he was completely honest with himself, keep his attention all to himself. âI called Pascal and Reg, who are fine watching the pets for an extra week. And the hotel is fine with us staying since no oneâs booked our room. And Iâve changed flights.âÂ
âWow, youâve been busy.âÂ
âUm, oo-ways. Not very easy when Iâve got you pulling my attention away every few seconds with your sad, âwhy arenât you looking at meâ eyes.âÂ
âOh, was he pouting, too?â Leo asked, a sly look on his face.Â
Finn made a face, lip pouting out, arms crossed, sad eyes, which, Logan had to say, looked nothing like him, but it set Leo off giggling once more, and Logan pulled him back toward him for a hug.Â
âYou two are so mean to me.âÂ
âOh, and thereâs the face!â Leo said, kissing Loganâs pouted out lip. When the boys stopped laughing Leo sat against him once more.Â
âAre you guys really okay with seeing the same sights again?âÂ
âBien sĂťr, mon amour, toujours.âÂ
âUm, I would want to go anywhere with you,â Finn said. âAnd besides, I love watching you look at things!âÂ
âWhat does that even mean?â Leo asked with a yawn, pulling Finn toward him.Â
âLo knows what I mean.â Yeah, Logan did. The big blue eyes getting somehow even larger with wonder. The look of awe, mouth slightly open. The grin when he pointed something out to one of them. Sharing an interesting fact with an excited tone. The joy on his face from learning something new.Â
A few minutes later, Leo was drifting off on his chest, breaths evening out.Â
âTell me again why we canât have our honeymoon here?â Finn said, smiling over Leoâs head at him.Â
âUm, maybe because we already had our honeymoon?âÂ
âMmm.â Finn said. âOur second honeymoon then?âÂ
âNot sure thatâs how it works.âÂ
âWell then, our anniversary?âÂ
Leo made a sound from his chest. They both looked down at him, unsure if those were actual words.Â
âWell, our sunshine has spoken!â Finn says, leaning down so he was also against Loganâs chest, kissing Leo on the forehead, then stretching to get nuzzle into Loganâs neck. âWeâll visit all the countries for you, Le.âÂ

------------------------
âPapa!â They were in downtown Gryffindor, meeting up with Logan after his morning practice and before he had to get back for his game. But Logan wasnât with them yet. And their eleven-month-old daughter was calling for him.Â
Finn glanced at the almost one-year-old in his arms, who was doing a grabby-hand gesture behind him.Â
âIâm not Papa, Punkinâ!â Leo said as he smiled at her and kissed her on the head.Â
âDada, Papa!â She said it with more force now, glancing at Finn and then back at Leo.
âWeâre gonna see Papa really soon. Weâre meeting him for lunch. Is that what youâre saying, Margo?â Finn guessed. The girl just looked at him, a little frustrated.Â
âDaddy, Papa!â She said, lurching on Finnâs shoulder toward Leo. He grabbed her under the arms, swinging her around until she was perched on his hip.Â
âWeâll see him soon, hon. Are you excited?âÂ
âPapa!â Margo cried, face crumpling as they crossed the street and continued on. Finn gave a small glance behind, wondering if someone looked like Logan behind them, but he couldnât see anyone that resembled him.Â
âItâs alright, sweetheart. Here, Le,â he grabbed the diaper bag that Leo was trying to shuffle around now that he had Margo in his arms.Â
There were honks and a screech of bus breaks and Margo was once again distracted.Â
Finn supposed Margo had been extra clingy recently. But it mostly tended toward Leo, who she was with the most. If Leo even left a room in their house, her face would crumple and she would shriek either until he came back or until she had cried herself out. This, they had read, was normal for babies her age. But knowing that didnât make it any easier for any of them.Â
This "separation anxietyâ often extended to Logan and Finn, too. She had cried just that morning when Logan was leaving for practice, giving her a kiss on her yogurt-filled cheek. He had tried to be sneaky, but she still caught him giving Finn a goodbye kiss before walking toward the door. She had started screeching, holding out her arms for him. Finnâs heart had broken at the downcast look on Loganâs face. A look that was often reflected on Finnâs own face when he had to leave in the morning accompanied by Margoâs cries. She wanted her family all together. Finn knew the feeling.Â
Logan had come back in for another kiss and a ruffle of her hair. âIâm meeting you for lunch. Just a few hours, ma petite fraise, I promise.âÂ
Margo had only stopped ten minutes later when Finn had whisked her off for a morning bath after blueberries had somehow ended up in her red curls. Â
âPapa!â She said again, as they turned another corner, Finn now hand-in-hand with Leo. âPapa!â She pointed behind them. Finn chanced a glance back once again.Â
âWhere do you see Papa, love?â Finn asked. Then he spotted something that made him let out a snort. On the streetlamps behind them were banners with pictures of the Gryffindor Lions players in front of the teamâs very familiar logo. Sure enough, the one she was pointing to had Logan, looking a little intense and giving a half-smirk.Â
âLook, Le, sheâs right! Oh, what a photogenic boy we chose!â Leo glanced where Finn was pointing as they stepped out of the path of the people walking behind them. Â
âWould you look at that? Didnât even notice!â Then he turned to Margo. âYou see a picture of Papa?âÂ
âOui, Papa!â Margo said, looking pleased that they understood her now, bouncing on Leoâs hip. âBig Papa!â Â
âThis is too cute,â Finn said as he pulled out his phone and gestured for Leo to stand a little to the left with Margo. He probably looked like a tourist, and his past New Yorker self cringed a bit.Â
After snapping a few photos, Finn turned on the video. First on himself.Â
âThought she was just calling for you, turns out youâre famous!âÂ
He flipped the video to show Margo and Leo with the big sign of Logan behind them.Â
âPoint to Papa, Margs!â She flopped her head back to look up and pointed once again.Â
âPapa!âÂ
He sent the video to their Cubs group chat.Â
âReady for lunch, you two?âÂ
âStarving,â Leo said, taking Finnâs hand once again.Â
----
They were nestled in a booth in the back of the restaurant, Margoâs highchair already empty after she had squealed when Leo had tried to set her down. Leo held her up as she stood on his knees, bouncing herself.Â
âDow, Daddy!â She said, pointing at the floor. Although she hadnât started walking independently yet, she was a quick crawler and loved to practice.Â
âNo, honey. Not here, love.â The waitress came over as Margo continued wriggling on his lap, now looking at another family across the restaurant.Â
âAnything to drink? Ready to order?âÂ
âWeâre still waiting on someone, but weâll all take water. Thanks!â Finn said, cheerful as ever.Â
âPapa!â Margo called again, a little softer than when they were outside, pointing across the restaurant. Finn looked over and Leo turned to glance behind him, as well. But Logan wasn nowhere in sight.Â
âWhere, love? I donât see Papa here.â It was quiet again as Finn checked his phone for Loganâs location and the waitress brought glasses of water to the table.Â
âPapa!â Margo shrieked again. The waitress glanced over and her eyes crinkled in a smile.Â
âAw, are you here with your Papa, dear?â Margo didnât even glance at the woman, now pointing behind her again.
âJust waiting on him, actually,â Finn said, giving a classic OâHara grin.Â
âIâll be back in a bit for your orders, dears,â the woman said, walking to another table.Â
âStill donât see him, Margo. Looks like heâll be here in a few minutes, though,â Finn said, showing her his phone. She made a grab for it, but Finn laughed and pulled it out of her reach.Â
âMaybe not my phone. Do you want a toy? How about your froggy? Then maybe youâll let go of your death grip on your Daddyâs hair, huh?â Leo grinned as he untangled the tiny hand from his strands and Finn rustled through the diaper bag. He handed over Margoâs frog toy that she loved to chew on.Â
âWant to look at your book, too?â Margo made grabby hands at Finn again and he handed over a board book, which Leo opened and began reading to her, pointing at the ducks on the logs.Â
Leo was just finishing up reading to her when there was another screech of âPapa!,â this time with a wriggling. The next moment, Margo disappeared from his lap as tan arms picked her up. There were shrieking giggles as Logan attacked her face with kisses. He leaned down and gave Finn a few kisses, then he slid in next to Leo, kissing around his face now.Â
âOkay, okay. What are you, a dog?â Leo said, laughing.Â
âJust happy to see mon famille.âÂ
âWe missed you, especially Margs. Sheâs been calling for you since we left home,â Leo said, patting the back of her head softly.Â
âOh, did you miss me, my Margaret?â Margo looked content now that she had all her dads around her. She grabbed for a straw wrapper on the table, which promptly ended up in her mouth.Â
âDid you see the video?â Finn asked excitedly, reaching over and pulling the wrapper out. âNo, Margo, yucky.âÂ
Logan smiled, handing the frog toy to her instead, with an accompanying ribbit.Â
âI did. Câest adorable. I showed it to the team, too, and I got to do one of my favorite things. Brag about my baby!âÂ
âOf course,â Finn said, smiling at them from across the table.
âHow was practice then? Ready for the game?â Leo asked, interested in the Lionsâs chance tonight.Â
------
As they were finishing up their meal, Margo started getting fussy. She and Finn had both finished their lunch, so Finn offered to hold her for a bit, bouncing her as they waited for the other two to finish their meals.Â
âBout time for your nap, huh?â Logan asked Margo as he handed over the frog toy once again, which got pushed away as Margo whined.
âThink so,â Leo said, yawning.Â
âOh, is it Knutty nap time as well?â Logan said, putting an arm around Leo and pulling him closer. Leo slumped slightly against him, setting his head on Loganâs shoulder.Â
âYou know what they say, sleep when the baby sleeps!â Finn said before Leo could protest.Â
âI think thatâs only for the first few months,â Leo muttered from where he had closed his eyes and tilted his head back.Â
âYou're so tense, mon soliel.â Logan said, and Finn noticed he was now rubbing Leoâs shoulders.Â
On Finnâs lap, Margo started crying in earnest. He was about to get up to walk her around a bit when she suddenly stopped.
âPapa!â She had snapped out of her crying and was once again grinning and pointing, behind Leo and Logan.
âOui, mon chou? Want to come here?â Logan asked, holding his hands out. But Margo wasnât staring at him, and was pointing behind his shoulder. Logan said something in French, glancing behind himself.Â
âPapa!â She clapped her hand, then called out. âCap!â Leo stared between them.
âA cat? Do you see a cat somewhere? Un chat?â
âCap! Cap!â
âCap? What do you mean, sweetheart?â Finn tried, trying to look where she was pointing. âWhat do you see?âÂ
âPapa!â Margo said, glancing at Finn and then pointing again. This time, he followed her gaze and caught sight of what she was pointing at. When he noticed, he laughed once again.Â
âOo-ways, Margs. Papa!â Leo and Logan looked at him like he was crazy, both cringing at his attempted French. He rolled his eyes. He had said it just like they did. âOh, and Cap, too, huh?âÂ
He watched as the restaurant TV played moments of a hockey game, interspersed with clips of an interview with both Logan and Sirius. It seemed that they were playing some sort of promotional video for the game that night. He could see Loganâs bright green eyes from here, as TV Logan patted Sirius on the back, laughing. Finn felt himself soften a bit, and he gestured toward the TV when he caught the real-life green eyes staring at him in confusion.Â
Logan looked behind him, watched the TV for moment, and then groaned as his face once again filled the screen. Â
âForgot I did that.âÂ
âCanât escape your face in this city, huh?â Leo asked.Â
âNot that weâre complaining!â Finn said, winking at Logan, who was now a little red. Logan ignored them and instead looked at Margo.Â
âYouâre so smart, mon chou, noticing things that we didnât. And recognizing Uncle Cap, too.âÂ
âCap!â Margo said, smiling.Â
âHere, Marguerite, say hi to Cap!â Logan took out his phone and recorded, asking âwho do you see on the TV, Margo?âÂ
âPapa!âÂ
âAnd who else?âÂ
âPos,â she said, bouncing again. Logan glanced behind him before bursting out laughing. Finn followed his gaze as Logan shifted the camera to the TV screen that now showed James being interviewed, hair as askew as ever.Â
âSo smart, punkinâ!â Leo said, taking a small hand in his and wiggling it. âYou know so many names! And you know just how to make Sirius jealous! Youâre gonna get your Uncles competing to see whose name youâll say now. Already have them wrapped around your little finger, huh?âÂ
Sure enough, the next time they visited the team, Sirius and James spent a whole ten minutes cooing at Margo, trying to get her to say their names. Instead, she let out a squeal and a âWoops!â as Remus walked into the room, earning him two glares and two 20 dollar bills shoved grumpily into his hands by James and Sirius.

THE IDEA OF LEO BEING RELUCTANT TO ACCEPT COMPLIMENTS OR AFFECTION BREAK MY HEART
As promised, the bombardment continues!
This was a very interesting prompt to work with, because you can be reluctant to accept love for a myriad of reasons. And there is a huge difference between accepting love and affection, and accepting and being confident in your sexual orientation, which Leo seems pretty sure of (as far as we can interpret from SW, C2C, and Vaincre). If this is you, I understand it's difficult, and you're not alone. Your FinnLo is out there waiting (if that's the relationship you desire, of course)!

Leo hummed quietly to himself as he turned onto the sidewalk. Viv had made a fresh back of ciabatta, and had texted him this morning to come down to the bakery and grab some for sandwiches that week. His boys had kissed him goodbye as they went for a run and he had begun a slow meander down to the park and then the bakery, enjoying the peace of the Gryffindor summer morning. He smiled as he walked back the long way through the park again, watching as the ducks quacked softly in the pond. Their chicks were still young, retaining some of their fluffy feathers, and he broke off a bit of bread to toss to them. They ruffled their feathers and approached him, waddling slowly over to where he was standing on the waterâs edge. He cooed softly at them and then stood, leaving them to their snacks. As he was walking away, a sharp whistle sounded behind him.
âWhatâs cookinâ good lookinâ?â a voice called.
Leo rolled his eyes and turned around to see his boys jogging slowly up to him. Finn was smirking sharply as Logan laughed beside him. For the last few meters, Finn sped up and launched himself at Leo, laughing, wrapping him up in his arms and pressing a slightly sweaty kiss to his cheek. âNutter butter baby!â he sing-songed.
Leo was blushing and a little sheepish. âSweetheart, youâre gonna cause a scene.â
Finn just gripped his waist and picked him up off the ground slightly, leaving him suspended in the air for a few seconds. His teeth were spread in a bright white smile. âJust let me love you, baby.â
Leo felt his face heat up even more and he ducked his chin with a grin. âFish-â
âUh uh,â Finn said. âNope, none of that.â He set Leo back on the ground and opened up his other arm for Logan to tuck himself against their sides. They were both smiling at him lovingly, Loganâs head against Finnâs shoulder. Finn reached up to stroke Leoâs hair. âWe get to love you wherever we want, nutty baby. Youâre just too pretty.â
âOh, stop that-â
âNon,â Logan cut in. He kneaded the skin of Leoâs hip with one of his hands. âFinnâs right. Youâre just too pretty.â He stood up on his toes to kiss Leo soundly, and Leo felt warmed through and through. âThe prettiest boy in the world.â

Finn watched Leo laughing with the tiny older lady in the grocery store, helping her to reach the zucchini and arugula that were placed on the higher shelves. She commented on his height, then on his strength, which got him blushing good-naturedly. His accent was always stronger with strangers, a lot of âyes sirsâ and âyes maâamsâ accompanied with his bashful small talk. He wasnât as outgoing as Finn, not by a long shot, but he was charming, particularly with elderly people, and was always willing to help. Finn leaned his forearms against their shopping cart and smiled adoringly.
âThere you go, maâam,â Leo said, placing the final bag of vegetables in her basket. âCan I help you reach anything else? You need me to carry something out to your car for you?â
She laughed. âNo, dear, but youâre sweet.â She shook her basket and patted his arm. âJust needed a few extra things my husband forgot to get me the other day. Iâm off to find some breadcrumbs. You have a lovely day!â
Leo smiled brightly at her. âYou, too, maâam.â He waved her off, then turned to Finn. âSorry about that honey. What were we looking for, some squash- mph.â
Finn had taken Leoâs face between his palms and kissed him gently, in long, slow strokes that made his body tingly. When he pulled back, Leo was smiling, a bit embarrassed and flushed, and Finn leaned in to kiss him softly once more. âI love you so much, baby,â he whispered. âYouâre so good.â
âOh,â Leo said. He shrugged and blushed even more. âThatâs very sweet, thank you.â
âHey,â Finn urged. He kissed Leo once more, rubbing a palm gently up and down his side. âYou are good. Youâre so good, and helpful, and kind, sunshine. Lo and I love that about you, okay?â
âOkay,â Leo replied. He rested his forehead on Finnâs shoulder briefly. âI love you.â
âLove you so much.â Finn scratched his scalp a few times then looked at the list in his hand. âSquash time? Then some peppers.â
Leo lifted his still-blushing face from the crook of Finnâs neck. âYeah,â he said, kissing Finnâs cheek. âSquash time.â

Leo looked gorgeous in the golden hour light, Logan thought, tall and tan in the dying summer sun. Theyâd gone to the local courts to shoot some evening hoops, and now Finn was over at one of the stands in the park getting them some ice cream. Leoâs phone had rung and he had excused himself to talk to Regulus about their plans to go to an amusement park the next day. He was laughing, his head thrown back and his curls long and wild. He had taken his shirt off, too, while playing basketball, and had yet to put it back on. Logan roved his eyes over his body greedily, trying to forever internalize the feeling he got just from looking at him. Leo caught his eye briefly, waving with a wide smile, before saying goodbye to Regulus and hanging up the phone. Really, Leo smiling was a feat that should be illegal: his dimples were deep, his teeth white as snow, and his eyes so bright they could light up the darkest room. Logan sucked in a breath and walked up to him.
âHi, sweetheart,â Leo said. âSorry, I was just talking to Reg. Iâll be taking one of the cars early in the morning, if thatâs okay?â
Logan didnât say anything, just gripped the back of Leoâs hair and pulled him down into a kiss. Leo made a startled noise, but quickly settled into it, cupping Loganâs hips gently with his hands. Logan sighed, his body listing into Leoâs, his kisses deep and sloppy and, more than anything, irrevocably in love.Â
When they pulled back, Leoâs brow was furrowed, as if trying to chase Loganâs mouth, but he was smiling. âWhat was that for, sweetheart?â
âBecause I love you.â Logan tilted his head. âWhy do you always ask that?â
Leo took a surprised breath, but didnât have the chance to say anything as Finn approached with their ice cream. âOkay, I got a couple for us to share: chocolate and Moose Tracks, your favorites, babes.â He stopped talking abruptly upon looking at their faces. âWhatâs wrong, whatâs happening?â
Logan just pulled Leo closer. âWas just asking Le why heâs always so surprised.â
Finn was confused. âSurprised by what?â
âWhen you show me affection,â Leo said warily.
Finn looked between the two of them before settling his eyes on Leo. âAre you surprised when we show you affection? I didnât think you were.â
âNon.â Logan shook his head. âLike, when we surprise him with it. When we donât⌠je ne sais pas-â
âWhen thereâs no reason for it,â Leo finished for him. He took a deep breath. âIt surprises me when you show me affection when thereâs no reason for it.â
Finn looked a little shocked and he set their ice cream down on a picnic table beside them. âWhat- we need a reason for it? Baby, the reason is because we love you, I- do you feel like you only deserve affection when you- when youâve earned it?â
Leo bit the inside of his cheek, eyes nervous and flitting around the park. His red cheeks and silence were all Finn and Logan needed.
âWhoa,â Finn said. His voice was a little panicked. âWhoa, Le, baby, thatâs not true.â He took Leoâs face in his hands to force him to look at him. âThatâs not true.â
âSoleil,â Logan said. Leoâs pulse was fast underneath his thumb. âWhy do you think that?â
âI donât know.â Leoâs voice was small and timid. He rolled his eyes at himself. âIâm sorry, I donât know.â
âIs it Jack?â Logan asked, voice low. He couldnât help but see red. âDid he make you feel that way?â
âI- maybe. Yeah, probably.â Leo took a shaky breath. âHe only ever showed me affection if I did the right thing for him.â
âThe right thing?â Finn asked.Â
âLike,â Leo started. He was clutching at Loganâs lower back as if to gound himself. âLike, if I helped him with homework. Or if I didnât touch him in public. Just doing things by his terms and his rules is what got me affection, so I guessâŚâ He paused, looking down at his feet. âI guess I feel I need to earn it. To deserve it somehow.â
Finn sharply inhaled and brushed Leoâs cheek with his nose. âOh, my love,â he whispered. Logan looked up. Finn only called them each that in the most delicate moments, and only ever in private. âOh, Iâm so sorry. Iâm so sorry he made you feel that way, but thatâs not true with us. You donât have to do anything for us to love you- we love you for who you are, sweetheart.â
âOuais,â Logan agreed softly. He tucked his face into Leoâs chest. âMon coeur, mon soleil. Je tâaime, I love you just as you are. Je tâaime, je tâaime, je tâaime.â
Leo let out a defeated breath and rested his head on top of Loganâs. âIâm sorry.â
âNo,â Finn said firmly, shaking his head hard. âNo apologies. Weâll make sure to tell you more, make sure to do more, to let you know how much we want you. Just for you. We want you just as you are, nothing more, nothing less.â He kissed Leoâs blushing cheek. âYou are perfect for us just the way you are, Le.â
âParfait,â Logan whispered with a kiss to Leoâs bare skin. âTu es parfait pour nous.â
âI love you,â Leo said. He pulled back and kissed them each gently. They didnât stray far from one another, Logan and Finn with their arms around Leoâs body and Leo with an arm around each of them. âIâll⌠Iâll work on being better at accepting love, I think. I want it- I like it.â
Finn smiled up at him. âGood, baby.â He bit at Leoâs neck. âBecause I plan on giving you a lot of it.â
âMoi aussi,â Logan said. âMoi aussi, mon coeur. You deserve all the love.â
Leo just smiled, then nodded to their ice cream. âLetâs eat this before it melts. I didnât just bear my feelings to then let my Moose Tracks become a soup.â
âOuais,â Logan laughed. âThatâd be a shame.â
âCâmere, lovers,â Finn told them. He sat down at the picnic table and held up a singular spoon with a mischievous grin. âIâll even feed it to you.âÂ
Logan and Leo laughed, sitting beside one another across from Finn and accepting spoonfuls of slightly melted ice cream on their tongues. It turned Leoâs kisses sweet and chocolatey, and Logan couldnât get enough. When they eventually finished it all, Finn and Logan made a big show of kissing his cheeks before grabbing their backpacks and making their way back to their apartment.
The entire way, Finn and Logan had their arms wrapped around Leoâs waist and Logan, for one, didnât want to move ever again. He smiled and leaned against Leoâs shoulder as the city got darker, watching as Leo accepted periodic kisses to his neck by Finn and turned to press his nose into Leoâs bicep. And when they eventually got into bed, showered and in pajamas, Logan laid himself on top of Leoâs body and watched as Finn watched them both, a palm rubbing up and down Loganâs side and the fingers of his other hand in Leoâs hair. Leo was gazing back at him, quiet, but eyes a shining blue in the dark.
âIâm so lucky,â Finn whispered. âYouâre so gorgeous.â He kissed each of their foreheads gently before laying his head on his pillow with a gentle smile. âGonna give you all the loving.â
âOuais,â Logan sighed. He closed his eyes and nestled into Leoâs chest. âOuais, mes amours. All the love. All the love for you always.â
Then they fell into their most contented sleep of the summer, a loving tangle of limbs and bodies, with no alarm set for the morning.
