a problem I have with some incest stories is that sometimes it feels like the author themselves doesn't know exactly WHAT makes incest wrong and that it's not just about blood at all, it takes away a lot of the flavor

like making the main couple very chill about it cause one of them was adopted/they're step-siblings so it's "fine" (it's not it's not fine even in these cases) and then all the other characters are ok with it for that same reason i go ??????
