This is Gaza, where not a single house remains standing. We are without shelter, without food, without water. We are dying. We are being bombed every day. We are being shot at in the middle of Gaza City. Where is the ceasefire agreement? Where is the humanity? They are shooting at and targeting people who go to get some firewood for their families to cook. We are truly oppressed.

Lately I've been thinking about traveling and escaping this difficult and bitter reality; I'm tired of this life.

Y'know, one of the things I like about Tumblr compared to other social media sites is that old content is still in circulation. They speak of a “New Gaza” in luxurious halls, while not all the dead have been buried and mothers’ tears have not yet dried.

Gaza is not land for sale, and it is not an idea on a presentation slide. Gaza is real people displaced families, children who were forced to grow up under bombardment, and homes that have turned into memories. You cannot build cities on top of human suffering, and you cannot skip over the pain as if it never happened.
