Hey I just thought you should be made aware that you were mentioned in a tadc Tumblr group for "calling someone transphobic for using he/they for Jax" (which I agree with you on, to be clear) so if you have gotten/get any weird asks it's probably from that. That isn’t the WHOLE truth, and being in that community was the only negative experience I’ve had on tumblr. I should probably explain from my POV just to clear things up.

I got into a fight with a mod who HCd jax as transmasc to which I called out some of their other actions, as well as accusing them of transmisogyny. I shouldn’t have taken it as far as I did but I don’t think I’m fully in the wrong.

That’s as bad as it got and I removed myself from the community since it was really bad for my mental health.

Mod accused Goose of being misogynistic since Jax was her “self insert” (I believe Jax to be similar but not fully representing of Goose since she’s different now) and racism since Queenie “only existed for Kinger’s development”. Mod consistently victimized themselves and claimed that people were spreading rumors that they were a p*do; I want to believe them but their previous actions make me dubious as to whether they were lying or not.

Here are some screenshots I took that I censored the mod’s name for their safety as well as mine:

I think I’d be more open to other people’s beliefs on Jax if I didn’t have such an experience with this mod. It’s pretty obvious that they wanted attention but the sheer lack of media literacy is almost appalling.

I hope mod is doing better now since this kind of behavior wouldn’t usually stem from just one thing. They probably have/had some dysphoria issues like I do causing such an outburst. So, if you know who mod is, please don’t harass them and just ignore the posts they make about loosely based claims (which is weird since Goose has done things that can absolutely be proved).

If mod wants to share their perspective on the situation I’m happy to listen!

I would like to mention that I specifically said transmisogynistic, as you can be transgender and still be transmisogynistic.

I will say that I did let my personal feelings get in the way of reason when discussing Jax’s identity. I have a pretty weird relationship with my own femininity (and aversion to a masculine gender representing myself) and I get unreasonably upset when someone proposes the idea that a character who is confirmed to be femininely alined is cis male/tmasc, and that is my fault.

And you’re right, Goose did recently say that she didn’t care if people portrayed Jax as something else other than tfem, which gave me a new perspective that reminded me that I don’t really care if people portray my own characters as anything diverging from canon.

I would like to specify that I have no issues with tmasc people, I just specifically cared in Jax’s situation since she’s canonically a trans woman. I’m still strongly set on my opinion (tfem Jax is absolute canon) but I will not continue to go after people who think otherwise.

PS there’s more ways to be transphobic than just mocking the transition process. For example calling a cis woman a slur because she “looks masculine” or whatever but I don’t think you need me to tell you that

kiki I need help. how do you do your vocaloid shit

Uhhhh so I got the program (vocaloid 4) and then I got some voicebanks (like miku) and then I found a vsqx (vocal sequence) file. It’s not free so I recommend starting with OpenUtau

OpenUtau was pretty hard for me personally since there was a bunch of software (like a C++ reader) that wasn’t installed and figuring out voicebank installation, but it was probably the first major program I learned to install on windows 10 when I got my computer 2 years ago.

The basics are go to openutau’s website (https://www.openutau.com), download the appropriate version, but the only issue is that the program isn’t pre-installed with voices. You can look up “utau voicebanks” on Google and download the zip files, and I personally recommend Studio Ogien’s voicebanks (https://studio-ogien.com) since they are high quality and feature English speaking voices for Kasai, Axis (my favorite) and Honos. The installation is pretty specific but the good thing is there’s lots of tutorials on Reddit and YouTube.

I won’t go too much into detail on resamplers and wavtools, but DO NOT use WORLDLINE-R. Download moresampler instead and follow the instructions the manual recommends :]

After that’s set up, you double click on the track bar and you can either manually put in notes and lyrics or drop in a midi/ust/ustx file.

Here are the main file types you’ll see online if you find files for making covers:

UST: compatible with OpenUtau, one single track

USTx: OpenUtau’s default file, has multiple tracks

VSQ/VSQx/VPR: Not compatible. These files are made for various versions of vocaloid

SVP: Most likely not compatible. These files are for SynthV Studio, which is another program I recorded since it’s more intuitive and has more realistic voices, plus an archived free version that has limited features

Or just disregard everything I just said and learn vocoding… there’s that too

on my recent AM/IHNMAIMS post, someone commented in a reblog that we (as a fandom) have decided that a human-esque design for AM should look like Harlan Ellison (would like to yap about the fact my AM design is an android meant to contain/trap AM so that he doesn’t cause any further issues).

And yes, I heavily referenced the author’s likeness as well as photos that portrayed the perfect american middle-aged man in the late 60s/early 70s. Later, I was watching celebrity jeopardy that featured Mo Rocca from CBS sunday morning and I could not get over the fact how trapped he was in that time period. They showed some older clips when he was previously featured on jeopardy.

I thought their outfits looked weirdly similar in color and style, and Mo’s hair style as well… aren’t I a designing genius? 😁🤞
