"the sam who told dean at the end of nightmare that ... they got lucky with john" oh!! yeah, u mean after the accumulation of multiple episodes in which dean attempts to justify john's behavior to sam, including when he tells sam that john was stalking him at stanford as if it should be comforting (1x08)? yeah i remember that, i wonder why sam would think conceding that john is a good parent would be a good way to keep the peace with dean

"who had no clue dean got sent to a boys' home" wow, that IS pretty weird. seems like it could only be justified if dean was gone from home on hunts often enough that sam wouldn't have thought twice about his absence, like we see in the 11x08 flashbacks where sam is left entirely to fend for himself for long periods. but since dean was sam's mother and caretaker literally 100% of the time, it IS pretty strange that sam wouldn't notice he was missing. after all, sam was probably starving and living in his own filth without dean

"who tried to treat dean's widower grief with breakfast beer and strippers" true, that was pretty idiotic of him. it's so strange that sam would think repression and surface-level comforts are a good coping mechanism when times get hard, especially since dean teaches him some really great other coping mechanisms like denial and literal self-harm during his psychotic break in 7x02 / all of s7. and this is an extra big sam crime because dean has NEVER expressed interest in either beer or strippers. obviously.

"who won't open up but gets frustrated and pushy when dean doesn't" GOD, SO TRUE!!! it's really a double standard. especially because when dean finally discovers something he doesn't like about sam in s4 (sam keeping secrets as per usual), he engages in really positive activities like calling sam a liar and a monster and locking him in a panic room to die, so sam would have no reason to be frustrated at dean's own reticence. after all HIS secrets have always been respected and rewarded by dean!!!

I absolutely love Tom Sturridge's performance as Dream, because he is able to convey so many emotions through a single micro expression. No one else could play Dream in my eyes.

The character communicates without even talking, that is extremely rare.

And I ADORE how Dream spends time worrying if he is actually capable of love, without realising that many of the choices he makes are driven by love.

Him comforting Delirium, being for her what Death was for him when he needed it the most.

Him going on a journey to find Destruction, to silently understanding his reasons, when he chooses not to stay.

Him, taking the life of his own son, letting him go because that was his wish, even though he fears a world without Orpheus in it. Still, he puts his son's will over his personal needs, the biggest act of love.

A king, worrying about single matters which could still cause enormous problems, even if that means risking it all for one single figure.

Unlike "every king that has ever lived", the Endless King of Dreams cares about his kingdom and his guests.

The Prince of Stories wishes to create one in which everything ties and fits perfectly.
