i just think sam grappling with having abandoned his little brother whom he personally shoved into hell and adam grappling with having watched sam's torture while safely huddled behind his own relatively benevolent archangel could've been so good. literally we could've had it all.

Sam stans: Dean’s behavior is often very egocentric and hotheaded. He shows patterns of violence—physical and mental—as well as abuse. He’s bad at listening to others and a product of the edgy misogynist trope of the early 2000s.

Dean stans: Well, technically, if you look at it from the perspective of the villain who is trying to kill everyone, everything is Sam’s fault because he made an uninformed choice that the villain was able to take advantage of

Sam stans: Dean’s selfish because he makes decisions for Sam that affect Sam (as well as his other friends) negatively and clearly go against Sam’s wishes just because said decisions keep Dean himself from feeling bad. Dean violates Sam’s sense of autonomy/agency out of concern for his own wants, not Sam’s, and then guilts and gaslights Sam for being upset about it. Dean stans: Sam’s selfish because he went to college.

Sam stans: sam is an empathetic person who wants to help people who have been through same experiences and I love him for that :))

Dean stans: no sam is a self-absorbed bastard who only wants to help people who have been through same experiences as him and Dean is the most empathetic person in the show. He’s just bad at showing his emotion properly that’s the reason he occasionally punches people when he’s upset
