Toko had gone out for supplies, leaving you alone in the abandoned apartment the two of you had taken refuge in.
However, when she came back, she saw you surrounded by monokumas, and you, defenseless in a corner.
Your megaphone was all the way across the apartment, and you seemed to have been ambushed.
The sight of seeing her lovely S/O in danger made her switch out to Syo very quickly.
Once figuring out the situation, Syo swiftly pulled out her scissors and began attacking the monokumas, warding you away from any danger that may be present.
Once finished, Syo kneels down in front of you.
“Ya good, sweet cheeks? Ol’ borin wants to talk to ya, but I figured I’d check up on ya before I switch out.”
After you confirm that you are okay, Toko switches in, immediatey fussing over you.
“A-Are you okay? D-Did you get hurt? Ah, j-jeez, I shouldn’t have left you alone...”
As she fusses, you reassure her that it’s okay, and you’re fine.
“O-Okay...b-but next time I go on a supply run, y-you’re coming with me, okay?!”
As you nod, she smiles slightly, happy that you’re okay.

She couldn’t believe it.
Shuichi had survived his execution.
The execution that she had earned, by killing Rantaro.
Why did Monokuma decide to let him die, instead of her...?
Nevermind that, she needed to focus on the present.
He was barely holding on, his teeth grit and grasping at his chest, which had an arrow stuck through it.
He screamed out in agony as another arrow pierced his leg.
Wait..
Another arrow?
But...the execution was over, wasn’t it?
Shuichi had survived, and it was over.
..Right?
Kaede’s eyes glistened with tears as she realized that the execution wasn’t over.
It wouldn’t be over until..
Until Shuichi died.
She sobbed out his name as he screamed hers in agony.
They begged each other not to leave, as the arrows continue attacking the detective.
And as she sobs his name one last time, his pulse stops.
Afterwards, whenever she goes back to her room, she sees the black hat belonging to her former lover sitting on her nightstand.
Why is Kaede being portrayed as unsympathetic? I’ve seen people make pregame Kaede as a irredeemable alpha bitch, while Pregame Shuichi gets a slap on the wrist as a stalker.
Idk, I’ve just seen an animatic with unsympathetic pregame Kaede and it made me really uncomfortable so :/

“Nobody wants you here, anyways!”
The one time he loses his cool, it backfires incredibly.
The moment the words left his mouth, he immediately regretted it repeatedly saying apologies over and over.
You weren’t listening to him as you swiftly turned on your heel and left, hot tears streaming down your face.
He decided to just give you some time to cool down.
Oh, how he wishes he chose to go after you.
He had went into your room carefully before seeing you laying there.
He yelled out your name, panicked as he ran over to you.
He tried to look for any sign of you being alive, but he found nothing.
As he sobbed over your body, nothing entered his mind but overwhelming grief.
Kokichi
“You deserve to die!”
A lie.
That’s all it was.
But it was the worst lie he’s ever told.
You stormed out, he didn’t bother going after you.
He skipped to your room the next day, planning on asking you to spend some time with him.
However, the sight he saw when he opened the door wasn’t the sight he expected.
“S/O? Wh-Why are you pranking me?”
No response.
He walked over, poking your cheek.
“S/OOO....this isn’t funny....”
He pouts, checking your pulse.
The playfulness drains from his face as he drops to the ground.
You were really...dead.
There was so many things he could’ve done to prevent this.
But it’s all worthless now.
You were gone.
Makoto
“I hate you!”
There isn’t any words Makoto regrets saying more.
You had bolted out after that, and he chased after you, but the others held him back, telling him to just let you cool off.
He complied.
How he wishes he hadn’t.
Because now, he’s racing over to your lifeless body, screaming your name between sobs.
“S/O...please...I can’t- no...you can’t be dead...please...”
His pleas fell upon deaf ears as the steaming tears soak into your cold, lifeless skin.
Kiibo/K1-B0
“I do not enjoy your presence!”
He was wrong.
So wrong.
You left sobbing loudly, covering your eyes with your arm as you ran away.
He wanted to follow you but he wasn’t sure if he should.
So, he stayed.
He wishes he hadn’t.
He carefully went into your room, before finding you there.
He cries out your name, checking your pulse for confirmation.
You’re dead? You can’t be dead! You’re not supposed to die! You were supposed to survive together!
And yet, there your corpse was.
Cold and stiff, in his robotic arms.
Nagito
“I wish you could just die already!”
Those were Nagito’s last words to you.
Before you stood there, dumbfounded at how far he’d gone, and stormed out the door.
He wasn’t sorry, at first.
He wasn’t sorry until the next morning.
He went to your cottage to try to apologize, but it was too late.
Whenever he opened the door, instead of seeing you, perfectly well, he saw your lifeless body laying on the ground.
He screamed out your name, rushing over, checking your pulse, checking for any sign that you were okay.
He wasn’t successful.
As he cries over your corpse, a million thoughts cross his mind, but one most prominent.
‘That damned luck cycle.’
If it wasn’t for that stupid luck cycle, you’d still be alive.
You’d be pouting in front of him, telling him that he was really mean.
But his luck cycle got in the way, like it always does.
He grits his teeth, his tears seeping into your clothes as his sobs fill the cold room.

Byakuya was shaking. He had sat upright in bed, his heart racing as the events that played out in the neo world program replayed over and over again in his mind.
You were already up, of course. You had awoken to use the bathroom and were now making yourself a hot beverage to get yourself sleepy again.
You saw him bolt upright, immediately rushing over to console him.
“Nightmares again?” You asked gently, rubbing his back.
He simply nodded, clearly shaken.
“Would you like to talk about it, darling?” He nodded again, going on a mumbled rant about how bad he felt, how he felt in general.
After he was done, you said some soft words of encouragement, handing him the drink you were making. He clearly needs it more.
After he was done drinking it, you pressed a kiss to his forehead before putting the cup in the sink.
You came back, climbing into bed with him, claiming that you’ll protect him from any nightmares that come his way.
He doubts that you can completely ward them off, but he smiles, cuddling you nonetheless.
Y'know how there can be multiples of one Ultimate in Danganronpa? Like how both Shuichi Saihara and Kyoko Kirigiri are the Ultimate Detective? Well, what about headcanons of Kokichi, Shuichi, and Makoto with an Ultimate Princess!S/O? She's obviously very wealthy, and loves to spoil them and just be the most generally loving little sweetheart to them? Ilysm~! ~ 🥀
