               It sounds like it was a pretty close game, though, with the game going into overtime. Maybe one of these days when I’m feeling like a road trip - when I’m not busy with Broadway shows - I’ll have to make it one of my stops. Hamilton does seem to be one of those shows most everyone knows about. Whether they’ve had a chance to see it or not. My last show with Hamilton is the twenty-seventh of this month and then I’ll be working on Funny Girl.

Yeah, it was a close game. I just personally did shitty in overtime. Definitely, if you'd ever like to venture out to Kansas City, just let me know! My door is always open. Mhmm, I haven't seen it, personally, but I've heard about it. Oh, well good luck on your last show! Is Funny Girl another Broadway show?

yeah... the media definitely escalates shit. makes a mole hill into a mountain. damn, really? one of the players killed a man? i don't think the nfl is that bad with the coverage... like obviously it's still biased and they focus on some shit over another, but i don't think it's to that level. i'm not with her mama, no. we split up a while back. she just got... we just grew apart, i think. haha i'm sure that does help. is she a daddy's girl?

Yeah, I'm sure I'll be doing better. I'm already loads better than I was when we lost. Nice, I'd love to go out on the boat. I haven't done that in a long time, since I lived in Texas, I think, which was back when I was in college.

jacob: i can imagine getting body-checked on the pitch for several seasons is gonna be hell on your body. quarterbacks don't take as much punishment right? look at me, pretending to know anything about football lol. how many seasons have you played so far? did you play college ball before the big times?

jacob: it was one of the first sex scenes i ever had to do and it's always so so awkward. there's nothing sexy about it and you've got someone eating a ham sandwich directing you where to put your hands and how to strategically show enough but not everything and ugh. the worst.

jacob: i can just imagine your coach being like 'excuse me' if you turn up to practice all banged up because you wiped out from a surf board. you're living the dream, being able to do something you love for a living. makes a lot of the sacrifices worth it, huh?

Pat: haha yeah, out bodies definitely take a beating. nah, they don't get tackled nearly as much. some of the players on the field are supposed to protect the quarterback. we still get tackled, but it's usually not as rough... unless we run with the ball, then it's fair game. i've been on the chiefs since 2017, but was a starter in 2018! i did, yep! played in texas :)

Pat: ahaha i don't know how you do it. i'm assuming there's quite a few other crew members there, too, right? having someone direct you on how to do that must be a strange thing

Pat: lmao coach would NOT be happy, that's for damn sure. yeah, it does make the sacrifices worth it. just wish i could spend more time with my kid, but besides that, everything's been worth it.

I know coparenting is not easy, I am just thankful I have two amazing people who I share that job with.  Keep your head up and things will be good I like to think and hope.  You have things going good so far it seems.  They really did, they love trucks and everything Monster Jam, so it was a fun beginning of the day for me before heading to St. Louis.  It goes by crazy fast, Jake just turned three a couple weeks ago and the twins turned one just before Christmas!  

Yeah, I've heard horror stories about co-parenting, but so far, so good. Glad to hear that it's going good for you, too! Eh, can't really complain about anything right now. Awh, well I suppose seeing your kids smile is all you really need to be happy in life. Wow, they're getting so old. I probably won't even recognize them the next time I see them.

Awh, no worries about not watching the whole game. Personally, I wouldn't have wanted you to see overtime because I played pretty shitty. I suppose so, yeah. New York City would be a bit of a drive, I have to agree with that. I'm not the most familiar with Broadway, but I have heard of Hamilton! How much longer do you have before moving onto your next project?

Ahh, okay, well let me know what ends up happening, man. I'll be rooting for you and your team! The World Cup is the highest honor for you players, right? Is that old for a soccer player? We have some guys in our league that are that age, but it is getting up there. It's good that the haters don't say anything in person, but at the same time, I'd like to see them spew that hate in person. Because I don't think they'd know what to do when I'd clap back at them. Thanks, it's kind of a theme. I have two dogs--Silver and Steel, so we decided to stick with the 'S' theme! Awh, that's so cute. Sibling bonds are the best.

Ahh, I hope so. This offseason is going to be used for training. I hope the other boys will do the same thing. That’s a great way to honor the legend that is Kobe. That sounds like a plan, man!

Sounds like you are a pretty damn good dad already. It’s a dad’s job to talk up their kids like that. One already? That doesn’t seem right. Yeah you Kansas City boys are loud and proud. I have never seen people wear as much gear revolving around their home town than Kansas City people. Seriously. You all look like tourists in your own place. 

Well, I could say that I'm rooting for you to have that comeback, but I have to be honest, personally, I'm not looking forward to that. But for your sake, I'll accept you looking forward to it haha. I do try my best to be the best dad I can be! Yup, one on February 20th. She's even started telling me no... which I know is something I have to get used to... she's a sassy one. What can I say, we all love Kansas City. Nothing wrong with that haha.
