What is the after the journey to the West wukong got invited to the fairies tea party and wukong bring erlang not knowing what erlang and the fairies are cousin that doesn't talk to each other because of what erlang did to his sister husband incident
And to spice it up wukong is the master of erlang's biological nephew( i forgot his name) so wukong invited the nephew and the nephew mom aka erlang sister
And it's all became awkward and erlang knowing wukong asked "you did this on f##king purpose" Out off nowhere
And wukong just smirk and said that's what you all get for tricking me 2000 years ago ( and yes i did the math in my head wukong is around 2525 and is turning 2526 after the Chinese lantern family which is his birthday is i want mistaken)
And the nephew realize that he was the revenge plan to get back at erlang because wukong is still piss about the burning mountain Insedent and being trick by heaven Insident
( don't mind my terrible inglish because inglish is not my first language)
I do find this idea interesting and funny.
Wukong is definitely someone who can forgive and forget (after all, he’s had to deal with bullshit from the celestial before and seems to have let that go canonically for the most part) but he could also hold onto grudges (and he is valid for that).
Teasing or getting back at Erlang for the past is very in character. Of course they both know it’s nothing serious since they are together, but as far as we know have they really talked it out before? Have they discussed the traumatic experience Erlang caused Wukong’s family (even though Erlang was also showing mercy to them)?
Having Cheng Xiang (Erlang’s nephew) be a way for them to get even is killing all the birds with one beautiful plot. Wukong gets vengeance, ChengXiang gets justice (and a master as well as his own legend), and Erlang’s deserved long awaited suffering for his past “crimes” is finally addressed.
There are difference versions of Erlang and Cheng Xiang’s Lotus Lantern tale of course. Some depict Erlang as a pure asshole who truly wanted to harm while others say that he actually held back his strength and worked with Wukong to ensure his nephew’s happy ending.
I hope this made sense.

Something that I realized about JTTW is…
Erlang Shen wasn’t one of the deities who tried to figure out which one was the Six Eared Macaque and which one was Sun Wukong.
He literally has a heavenly eye that can see through illusions. And you’re telling me NO ONE thought to ask him for help?!
My JianKong mind likes to imagine the scenario if Erlang was visited by Wukong like this:
Erlang: ..Hmmm. You! (points to real Wukong) Come over here.
Wukong: (walks over)
Erlang: (hugs him)
Erlang: Ok, this is the real one. Now, I’ll kill the fake one for you, Great Sage.
Six Ears: Wait what?! But you haven’t even hugged ME yet! How do you know I’m the fake one without testing both of us!? That’s not fair!

Angst Headcanon (JianKong):
I headcanon that Wukong developed a mild (sort of mild) fear or phobia of rings or circular jewelry after being freed from the golden headband.
Seeing one makes his heart skip a beat in fear and he refuses to touch it.
So if Erlang were to give him a ring to propose marriage, it might go:
Erlang: (proposing) Wukong, would you accept this ring?
Wukong: No, I’m sorry I can’t.
Erlang: You…You do not wish to get married with me? :(
Wukong: No. I mean yes! I want to. But…it’s round.
Erlang: Round? Wha-Oh…
And that’s why they don’t wear rings on their fingers despite being married.
Everyday I think about Sun Wukong, I remember that there’s too much angst potential for this stone monkey king.
For instance: His Power
(mini rant)
Sun Wukong can never truly be 100% himself. Because he’s too strong and he can hurt people just by being slightly above averagely strong (by his standards).
In a scene in 2010 JTTW, he and Lady Bone Demon were best friends at one point. However, years later when they meet on the journey, she’s an enemy and HATES him, but Wukong has no idea why until she reveals that in her past life, he pushed her so hard, she actually DIED.
Wukong had been shoving her away to safety, but unintentionally killed her with his own strength.
That level of power has got to be terrifying.
Lego Monkie Kid Sun Wukong has clearly held back for centuries and understands how to because if he didn’t, his companions wouldn’t have survived being with HIM.
The other versions of Wukong in media are also weakened because:
1) canon strength Wukong would absolutely one shot every enemy and any movie/tv show with him in it wouldn’t last longer than 1 minute.
And 2) He would hurt both allies and enemies alike.
On the journey to the west, I notice people say he’s “weaker” after he’s released after 500 years.
First off, the book is a metaphor so plot isn’t the MAIN focus or point. But Second, it’s been shown that the ENTIRE journey is STAGED and planned just so they would suffer 81 trials. Think of the whole journey as a bunch of actors/actresses working together to complete a giant play/storyline. That’s what the journey was. Wukong wasn’t weakened. The journey was tailored to BE DIFFICULT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE PILGRIMS. So they could repent from their sins.
We could also say it’s cause the golden headband and Tang’s “Wukong, NO” tamed him significantly.
And before the journey, he could’ve won against Erlang (maybe) but his giant kaiju form terrified his monkey armies, so he weakened himself for their sake.
During his fight with Bull Demon King, a similar incident occurred and he had to stop.
So yeah. That’s my rant about Wukong’s strength, which is both his greatest asset and worst enemy at times.

I overestimated myself. On my quest to draw all the Sun Wukongs from my fanfic, I decided to draw THREE SUN WUKONG VERSIONS.
This is Sun Wukong from Monkey King Reborn (I nicknamed him Ash). His outfit is so iconic and pretty and SO DETAILED I couldn’t do him justice.
I also kinda have a tiny crush on him. But he is SO HARD TO DRAW EVERY SINGLE FUR STRAND IS VISIBLE IN HIS MOVIE-
The reason why his tail is a different color and other mistakes is because (I’m sure Ash is responsible) my 100 or something numbered color pencils spilled and got mixed up.
He’s pissed I know he is. I’m sorry I couldn’t do you justice my beautiful monkey king. 😭
I drew my baby boy Sun Wukong from Monkey King 2009! I think my Liu Er sketch looked prettier ngl. But he’s so cute if only I could draw him correctly.
I used so many colors for him. But I’m so proud and happy with my second attempt at drawling fingers and the rest of the body in detail. XD

I headcanon that even after the events of JTTW, Wukong likes to troll the celestial realm and there’s nothing they can do about it
Like when he needs money? He’ll just go and take some from the royal celestial bank.
If he needs to “borrow” a celestial weapon? He’ll just go to good old LaoJun and politely borrow.
And occasionally, he’ll bring up his “good old days” and casually say out loud, “Wow, the furnace that you guys tried to cook me alive in looks so shiny right now.” :D
Everyone looks around uncomfortably every time he does so.
Since the horses are canonically “fearful” of monkeys still, he could take them all for a ride around the realms even if the soldiers need them. After all, he is still technically the Bimawen. He’s just also the Great Sage Equal to Heaven. And the Victorious Fighting Buddha. No biggie.
What are they gonna do? Tell him no?
Lock him up?
Kill him?
