[ Lourdes is at a loss for words for longer than a moment, and then the tears quickly follow. ]
"Then our fate is sealed, isn’t it?“
[ he reaches out, grabbing her hand. ]
“Te amo Lo, por lo que mucho. Me gustaría mover montañas si eso significaba que podíamos estar juntos. Tu lo sabes.”
"Jon, you made a vow…“
[ And the Bellamy were all about keeping their word, weren’t they? Not that Lo had kept all her promises to Jon, not in the slightest. She sniffles, pushing her face deep into his neck to keep him from seeing her shame. He couldn’t hurt Elaine the way Lourdes had hurt him, could he? He didn’t need to imagine the pain… ]
“A vow I made to you first.”
[ a vow made to her long before he had permission. Back when they had been practically children. But he’d meant it then, just like he still means it now. Lo is his world, always has been. Elaine... Elaine would understand. Right? ]
”Relying on magic?”
Catherine had only been distracting him before, but now when she flicks her wrists a wild vine snaps his sword from his hand and violently curls around his neck. She’s on him in less than a blink, ripping the dagger from his other hand. Slowly, her hand begins to heat as does the anger in her eyes. Her voice is no more than a harsh whisper, but she knows he can hear her.
”I am magic, as are you Hopkins. Prakasa. Say it. Pra-kah-sa.”
Jon struggles against her hold, hands moving up to the vines around his neck. He's pulling there, trying to get free. His eyes meet hers, the fire reflected back as he listens to her. He can feel the heat from her hand, frowning. What was she talking about? They'd always been taught that hunters were the antithesis to magic, but there was nothing but truth in her voice. As his arm starts to really feel the heat in a way that hurts, he pulls in enough air to speak.

[ He means it, he desperately means it. There was a time when his world revolved around her, so much so that it came crashing down when she left. But now she's back. She's back, and that empty place feels full again, in ways Elaine had never quite managed. And he still loves Elaine, but Lourdes is his true other half. His happy ending. ]
Lourdes is not too surprised at the tickle attack, and while she’d usually fight back, this time she just giggles and looks at her ring finger over his shoulder. She nuzzles at his temple as he kisses at her neck, giggling into his hair. By the time he stops, she’s flushed and sore in the belly.
”I love you, papi.”
She can’t stop looking at her ring, crowded against his chest and holding her hand up between them. It’s perfect, everything she ever wanted. She hated those gaudy diamond rings, but this was nothing like that. It was beautiful, and simple, and God that emerald was the most amazing shade of green.
He smiles as he watches her look at her ring. It'd taken him weeks to find the right one, the perfect one for her. Siding his hand up, he threads his fingers through hers and pulls her hand so he can kiss it.
"I do't think I could every be happier that I am right now Lo." Never ever. They could have a life, a family. Having all that is more than worth the years he'd spent fighting the council. She was beyond priceless to him.

"Mi reina."
[ At least, that's always what he'd wanted her to be. His queen, standing beside him and helping him lead. No one could deny that Lourdes would make a good queen. Jon certainly never could. He nuzzles the hand in his hair, breathing still harsh and slightly labored as he holds her as close as he can. ]
”Yes, pendejo.”
She has half a mind to take the ring and throw the box at him. He didn’t even need to ask, he could’ve just slipped it on her finger while she was sleeping. Creepy romantic. Sniffling, she wipes her nose on right sleeve and offers him her left hand. She was more than ready to become Lourdes Hopkins. His Lourdes Hopkins.
She’d been ready since she was sixteen.
He smiles at her, standing up and sliding the ring onto her finger. He kisses her happily for a moment, really thinking about what this meant for them. But then he pulls back, his grin mischievous.
"I'll show you pendejo." He starts to tickle her, wrapping his arms around her to keep her from getting away. He tickles her tummy and kisses her neck, nibbling slightly as he just... is filled with the most happiness he's ever felt.
"I love you Lo." It's said in the midst of the chaos and silliness, but that makes it no less real.

[ Jon looks at her, smile forming bright and clear. He'd never thought he'd hear those words come from her ever again. And yet here they were, loud and clear and ringing in his ears. ]
"I love you too Lo."
Lourdes is about to point out that he didn’t deny being a girl but then her brain breaks. Because Jonathan Hopkins is on one knee in front of her, and there’s a ring box in his hand. An unopened ring box causing her a great amount of anxiety.
Jon was propsing to her.
Which meant Jon had the Association’s permission. They could get married, have a family, and their sons and daughters would be princes and princesses. She tries to mask the tears gathering in her eyes by squinting at the light above them.
”You forgot to open it, dork.”
He laughs a little, but he's so nervous about all of this that he feels like he's vibrating. Opening the box, he turns it where he knows she can see. Everything about the ring felt like Lo, and he had known the moment he saw it. It is one of a kind, just like Lourdes.
"They gave me permission today, at the meeting." Though he's had the ring what feels like forever. Something no one but his father knew. Adam's support had meant so much to Jon through all of this, and now he felt like the richest man in the world. Or he would, anyways, if she said yes.
"Lo? That's not... exactly an answer." He sounds more panicked than he intended to, the emotion bleeding into his voice unbidden.

[ John kisses her back just as roughly, hands grabbing her hips forcibly and pulling her up so that he's buried deep. As deep as he can possibly get. His movements starts to slow, long and drawn out now, instead of being so fast and powerful. They'd have to go soon, his dad could be back any minute now, but for now he just wants to soak her in. All those things he missed so desperately. ]
”Your dad is stepping down?”
She was just spitballing, hating not knowing what’s got him so nervous. “Your parents are having another spawn? You’re a girl? I’m a boy? You’re gay!” She eyes him suspiciously after that one. That was a possibility, she was the only girl he’d ever been with. “I’m not a boy so you better not be.”
He rolls his eyes, biting back a laugh. "No he's not stepping down, they're not having another kid, and no I'm definitely not gay." He takes a deep breath, looking at her with so much love it feels like he just might burst.
"I got the answer to something I've been waiting on for a very long time." Only to have to ask another question. his hand finally dives into his pocket, closing around the little box. "But it means I have to ask you something." He pulls her into the room, standing in front of her for just a moment longer before moving down. Down on one knee.
"Prudencia Lourdes Constanza de Bellamy." He takes a deep breath. "Will you marry me?"

”They have new crossbows and- What’s wrong?”
She goes from peppy to concerned in less than a second, reading his nerves like she always did. Quickly, her eyes scan him for any new injuries then the room for anything out of place. She’s still not sure why he asked her to meet him here today, they basically shared his room now.
Shit. He rubs the back of his head, looking down and then quickly back up.
"Nothing's wrong. Everything's great. I uhh.. have some exciting news actually." It feels like the ring it burning even hotter, boring into his leg. This gives whole new meaning to 'burning a hole in your pocket.'

[ Her every sound is intoxicating, and he pushes more to draw the noises from her. His hand roams, his mouth devouring hers. Each thrust into her becomes more and more powerful, and he can already feel himself much closer than he should be. But then again... This was Lo beneath him. ]
Lourdes was the one running late this time. She hadn’t been checking the time while she was in the armory, and she had a tendency to get distracted by new weapon choices. Hopping over a row of bushes, she sprints into the Hopkins Estate and up the stairs. She passes Sarah on the way, stopping to give her a big kiss on the cheek and a hair ruffle.
”Sorry, sorry, sorry mi amor!”
She quietly closes the door to his father’s office, and leans back against it, breathless.
Jon smiles at her, moving forward to give her a quick kiss.
"It's all right Lo, I only just got here myself." The small box in his pocket feels like it's on fire, and he resists the urge to check. What he doesn't realize is just how fidgety he is anyway. "Lose track of time in the armory?" He knows she did, he often did it too. So many new gadgets and weapons to behold.

He wants to make this last, unlike their first time. He takes his time, taking as long as he possibly can before seating completely inside her. His breathing heavy, and his eyes are unfocused. She feels so amazing around him. ]
