What makes life worth living?
So the thing is, I'm working in a different region, thus I had to travel for roughly 6 hours earlier to get to work (this ain't a daily commute btw). It was the first time I ever travelled while there is flooding along the way of my destination. It was such a hassle because I kept wondering if I would have to sacrifice my shoes and wade through murky flood waters. I was mentally preparing myself. Thankfully, it did not come to that. The only water that slightly dampen my shoes are the water cascading down the stairs of an overpass.
I saw a lot of people wading in the flood water and I'm reminded again of my anger towards government officials who do not prioritize long-term solutions. Taon-taon na lang may pagbaha at taon-taon na lang nagsusuffer ang mga tao. Puro ayuda giving and reactive measures lang. Bakit ang konti ng mga LGU na science-based yung approach sa pagsolve ng flood problem? Bakit hindi kayang maging proactive? Kung bawal magtayo talaga ng bahay near creeks etc, have stronger measures to discourage people from putting up houses there. If they are already living there, then offer relocation sites for them wherein they can still earn a living. Bakit ba go na go lang sa mga nakakasira ng kalikasan like mining, deforestation, etc e these worsen the effects nga of our yearly typhoons? What's not clicking ba?

All those years ago, we’ve been near yet so far.
While I was waiting for the right timing, you have found your North Star.
We’ve been dancing around the idea of us, though neither of us said anything to take it to the next level.
Just floating in place while our hearts refuse to settle.
Have I known that I would be this devastated upon learning that you’ve already paired up with another…
I would have stepped from the shadows and claimed my place as your lover.
Good morning, universe!
I can’t sleep pa so I did a little digging, for research HAHA. I found myself shuffling through multiple posts. Evidences were scarce, but they were there.
I sat with what I have gathered so far. From what I piece together, they were probably brought together by their advocacies and shared principles. No one can beat that. I for one have a non-negotiable when it comes to my partner—and that is being politically aware. Prinsipyadong tao rin dapat. It’s quite difficult kaya to be with someone who doesn’t have the same convictions and principles as you. It’ll be doomed. Aside from that, they seem to have both maturity and security to just let their significant other do their own thing. Like, they don’t need to be together all the time just to prove that they are in love. At the end of the day, they know that they have each other to come home to.
As for the conclusion I reached? Well, I admire the kind of love that they have. It’s not loud or anything, but it’s theirs. No one can take that away from them. It’s private, but not a secret.
Rooting for them! ✨

Chapter 1.2
Win and Risa went home separately (because they are still not going public with their relationship). Risa was the first to get home because Win went to a cake shop first to get her favorite cake. Way talaga n'ya yan para hindi na mag-ask si Risa to see his phone e kaso hindi umubra.
Risa was waiting by the door.
"Mahal, I have the carrot cake you like." he shows the cake box.
She held out her hand, not giving in to the cake he brought.
"Mahal, the phone." she said.
Win reluctantly fished his phone from his pocket and handed it to her.
"Mahal, baka we can eat cake muna and then we can read together?" asked Win who was visibly anxious.
"Sige na nga. Pero, mahal ah. Naiintriga na talaga ako sa kung ano yung binabasa mo. Baka not safe for work yan ha!"
"No, mahal. I'll show you later. Basta promise me hindi ka tatawa."
"I can't promise that."
They ate the cake and then they went to their room to wash up. They got into their pajamas. Risa opened Win's phone. Walang kapassword-password kasi wala naman daw siyang tinatago.

"Mahal, what is this?"
"Just scroll, mahal and you'll know."
She scrolled and her eyebrows climbed and then climbed again. She looked at him. Win was biting his lip and was kind of holding a nervous laugh.
"Fanfiction...about us?!"
"Apparently."
She stared and then looked back at the phone and then back at him.
"Wait, wait. You're reading all these?"
"I'm just curious."
She scrolled some more.
"May bookmarks, mahal! And you have a favorite list?
"For research purposes lang talaga, mahal."
"Tignan nga natin mga binabasa mo."
She saw the one that has Show You Off as the title. Her eyes widened.
"Teka! Why is this familiar?"
"It's the song you used when you congratulated me, mahal."
She checked the date. It was posted on the day that reel was posted.
"How did they...why would..." for the first time in a long while, Risa was flabbergasted.
"I was just like that din, mahal." he rested on her shoulders.
They read the fic together and decided to read others over the weekend. They have so many thoughts about what has been written about them.

When Senate President Win Gatchalian discovers that the internet has been writing fanfiction about him and Senator Risa Hontiveros, he does the only reasonable thing: he reads it.
Chapter 1.1
The first person to discover that Senator Win Gatchalian reads fanfiction was Senator Win Gatchalian. It has been an accident, sort of. A staffer had sent him a link with absolutely no context. Curiosity had always been one of Win's greatest strengths. Unfortunately, it was also one of his greatest weaknesses. He clicked the link and lo and behold a story of some sort. It took him a few minutes to get the hang of it.
"Ha." was all he had to say when he saw the tag:
Relationship: Sherwin "Win"Gatchalian/Risa Hontiveros
He blinked.
"May fans club kami ni Ris?" he thought. Instead of closing the tab, his curiosity got the best of him.
There were more than one. Ninety-nine to be exact.
"Ang dami naman! Teka ano ba yung mga pinagsususulat nila?"
He clicked the first one. Strictly for research, he muttered under his breath.
Excerpt from Show You Off The applause came before the official announcement. Everyone inside the Senate already knew how the vote would end. The secretary general adjusted the microphone. "Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is hereby elected Senate President." Across the chamber, Risa smiled before anyone else did. He looked for only one person. He found her immediately.
Win stared. He recalled what happened during that day.
"Hindi naman ako ganyan nun ha."
He read another paragraph. Silence. And then he agreed that he acts the same as what the author described (mostly about being protective of Senator Risa). He kept reading. By eleven-thirty that night, he had read four stories.
"This is the last one." he whispered it to himself at 11:48PM.
At 12:37AM he said, "Okay, this is the last one na talaga."
At 1:16AM he said, "Hindi counted kasi one chapter lang."
Pasalamat na lang talaga siya kasi Risa was fast asleep na so she didn’t have to witness him be so hooked sa pagbabasa ng fan fiction nilang dalawa.

The next morning, his chief of staff walked into the office.
"Good morning, sir."
"Morning." his chief of staff analyzed his face. Parang hindi nakatulog nang maayos ang kanyang boss. Win sensed what his chief of staff was thinking kaya he told her that he in fact only got three hours of sleep.
"Everything okay, sir?"
Win nodded absentmindedly.
"Maganada yung pacing." the chief of staff was frowning, anong pacing tinutukoy ng boss n'ya?
"Sir?"
Win looked up.
"Ano pong pacing?"
"The budget." HAHAHA and the chief of staff left more puzzled than ever.

Three days later, he already had favorites. He refused to think too deeply about what that meant. He just continue visiting the stories they wrote.

Friday came and there was a committee hearing. Risa arrived carrying a folder, a notebook, and two iced tea.
"Good morning, SP." she greeted him.
"Good morning, Senator Risa." he beamed na para bang hindi sabay na pumasok at hindi rin magkatabi kagabi.
She sat beside him. Win was already looking at his phone. She glanced sideways. He smiled, just a little while he was on his phone. Minutes later, she saw him let out a laugh. This got Risa curious. What was he looking at on his phone? She narrowed her eyes.
"Pakita nga SP, ano ba yan kanina ka pa nangingiti at natatawa."
"Wala lang 'to." he excused because he doesn't know if letting Risa know that there have been multiple fan fictions written about them is a good idea.
"Dali na, pakita na kasi." she insisted
"I'm reading."
"What are you reading? Di ka naman matatawa if report yan."
He angled the the phone away. Wrong decision.
"Oh, so may tinatago." she smiled.
"Wala ah."
"You moved the screen."
"Mahal, wala lang 'to please. Focus na tayo, malapit na matapos break." Win stopped. Risa stopped also. Buti na lang pabulong lang yung sabi n'ya na yon. She leaned in and whispered.
"SP, we're at work. Nadulas ka na naman."
"Sorry, sorry." he was apologetic. Risa was scanning the room looking for anyone who might have heard/noticed them.
"Show me what you've been reading later to make it up to me." she bargained. Win sighs. Resistance was futile.
[Author's Note: This AU was inspired by the like that SenWin left on the official page's post about fanfics. Coincidentally, the fics admin posted where two of mine so, yeah, kinilig ako.]
To be honest, I’m dreading August because it means that I have to go back to work, vacation is over. I’ve been missing a lot of family celebrations. My grandparents aren’t getting younger. I am afraid that I won’t be here when the great beyond calls on them. Morbid? Probably. Since the medical scares we had years ago, most of us, whether we admit it or not, were already grieving their passing. I talked to a colleague, they apparently did it too.
I would have just stayed at my old institution, it would have been so much closer to home. But, the thing is, there was no growth there. O had to move. It has only been a year and two months, but it feels like I’ve been with them for like a decade (idk if it’s the workload, the stress, or the growing out of my comfort zone thingy).
Ayun lang naman. I just miss being close to the mountains, the rivers, the sea, the rice fields, and of course to my family.
Will probably take those wellness leave just to go home in the next months.
Risks and Returns
Chapter 10
For nearly six months, life inside the Senate had settled into a familiar rhythm.
Committee hearings came and went. Bills were filed, debated, amended, and sometimes forgotten. Privilege speeches punctuated plenary sessions, while senators hurried from one committee room to another, juggling meetings with government agencies, local chief executives, and stakeholders. The hallways remained busy, but no busier than usual.
It was the kind of organized chaos everyone inside the institution had grown accustomed to.
Even the whispers surrounding Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Risa Hontiveros eventually faded into the background. The Senate staff had found newer things to gossip about. New bills. New appointments. New romances involving people who weren't senators.
Life simply went on…
Until it didn't.
Almost overnight, every television mounted inside the Senate began carrying the same breaking news.
BREAKING NEWS: SECOND IMPEACHMENT COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST THE VICE PRESIDENT
The story spread like wildfire.
News channels replayed every development every hour. Political commentators debated constitutional provisions on primetime television. Outside the Senate gates, media vans lined the streets before sunrise, waiting for senators to arrive.
Inside the Senate...
The noise was different.
It wasn't loud.
It was heavy.
The easy laughter that usually echoed through the corridors grew noticeably scarce. Office doors remained closed longer than usual. Staffers instinctively lowered their voices as they hurried past groups of senators engaged in hushed discussions.
Every conversation eventually led to the same topic.
The impeachment.
The Senate had become divided.
There were senators who believed the Vice President should answer the charges through the constitutional process and that the Senate had the solemn duty to hear the case fairly.
Others argued just as passionately that the impeachment complaint was politically motivated and should not prosper.
Nobody openly announced which side they belonged to.
They didn't have to.
The atmosphere said enough.
Win had barely settled into his office when there was a familiar knock.
He smiled before even looking up.
"Come in."
The door opened.
"Busy?"
"For you?"
He leaned back in his chair.
"Never."
Risa rolled her eyes. She quietly closed the door behind her.
Unlike her office, which always seemed to have lawyers and staff coming in and out, Win's office was unusually peaceful. His staff had stepped out for another coordination meeting, leaving only the two of them.
Risa glanced at the mountain of folders occupying nearly every inch of his desk.
"You've started already?"
"I barely slept."
She wasn't surprised.
"What have you read?"
"The complaint."
"The annexes."
"The supporting documents."
"The Senate Rules. The Constitution."
Risa blinked.
"All of them?"
Win shrugged.
"I couldn't sleep."
She laughed, shaking her head.
"You really are a nerd."
"I prefer thorough."
"I prefer nerd."
For a moment, the tension outside the office disappeared.
It felt like every other day.
Until Risa's smile slowly faded.
She looked toward the impeachment complaint resting on his desk.
"You supported her campaign."
Win nodded.
"I did."
"You donated."
"Yes, it’s public knowledge."
There was no judgment in her voice.
Only honesty.
"And now?"
Win let out a slow breath.
"I've asked myself that question more times than I'd like to admit."
Silence settled between them. He noticed the frame where their (VP Sara and him) sits. He turned it face down. Risa noticed.
He rested one hand over the thick stack of documents.
"I supported her because I believed she could contribute something to the country."
He paused.
"But this isn't about the campaign anymore."
He looked at the Constitution lying beside the complaint.
"I'm not reading these as someone who supported a candidate."
"I'm reading them as a senator, soon to be senator-judge."
His voice remained calm.
Steady.
"And whatever decision I eventually make it has to be based on the evidence. Not on political debts."
Risa studied him for a long moment.
"I wasn't asking because I wanted your vote."
"I know."
"I just wanted to know..."
She smiled faintly.
"...that you were still you."
That made Win smile.
"I don't think I know how to be anyone else."
She laughed.
"Good."
A knock interrupted them.
"Senators?"
"They're asking everyone to proceed to the session hall."
Reality came rushing back.
Both of them stood. They walked side by side toward the session hall.
Neither noticed the curious glances that followed them.
The Senate session hall was unlike anything it had been in months.
The galleries were nearly full.
Members of the media occupied every available space.
Even senators who usually arrived just before the gavel quietly took their seats much earlier.
Everyone understood the significance of the proceedings.
Throughout the afternoon, the atmosphere inside the chamber grew increasingly tense.
Arguments over procedure quickly gave way to deeper constitutional debates.
Rules were cited.
Precedents were invoked.
Points of order interrupted speeches.
No one wanted to give an inch.
Win listened carefully, occasionally jotting down notes in the margins of his documents.
Across the aisle, Risa remained just as focused.
Then came one of the day's most heated exchanges.
Senator Marcoleta rose to speak.
As he laid out his arguments, murmurs spread across the chamber. Some senators nodded in agreement. Others quietly flipped through their own copies of the rules.
When Risa was recognized, she rose from her seat with the same calm composure she always carried.
She responded point by point, refusing to be rattled despite the increasingly heated atmosphere. The chamber watched as both senators defended their respective interpretations with conviction. The exchange grew firmer, sharper, drawing the attention of everyone inside the hall.
Win listened intently.
He didn't agree with every argument made that afternoon.
But one thing bothered him.
The tone.
When the exchange threatened to become more personal than procedural, Win calmly requested recognition.
The chamber quieted.
He spoke not to argue for one side or the other, but to remind the body of its constitutional duty—to preserve the dignity of the proceedings, to debate the issues rather than each other, and to ensure that every senator was heard with respect, regardless of where they stood.
It wasn't a long speech.
But it was enough.
The temperature in the room eased, if only slightly.
Risa glanced briefly in his direction.
She didn't say anything.
She didn't have to.
By the time the session adjourned, it was already dark outside.
The Senate building remained brightly lit.
Reporters rushed toward the exits.
Staff members hurried to prepare statements for the following day.
Win simply returned to his office.
Tomorrow would be another long day.
Risa arrived home a little before ten.
She slipped off her heels with a tired sigh before collapsing onto the couch.
Her phone buzzed almost immediately.
John.
She answered on the second ring.
"You look exhausted."
"I feel exhausted."
"You ate?"
"Eventually."
John smiled knowingly.
"I'll take that as a no."
She laughed.
"I knew I couldn't fool you."
For the next several minutes, John simply listened.
Risa told him about the day's proceedings, the endless debates, the pressure inside the chamber, and how emotionally draining it had all been.
He never interrupted.
Only asked the occasional,
"And then?"
or
"What happened after that?"
He had learned long ago that loving Risa sometimes meant letting her unload the weight she carried all day.
When she finally paused, he smiled gently.
"I'm proud of you."
"You haven't even heard everything."
"I don't need to."
"I know how seriously you take your work."
She smiled.
"You always know what to say."
"I have years of practice."
She laughed again.
Then another thought crossed her mind.
"Oh."
"What?"
"Win surprised me today."
John's smile remained.
"How?"
"He stood up."
"He didn't have to."
"But he did."
She briefly recounted the exchange inside the chamber and how Win had intervened when the discussion began drifting away from respectful debate.
"He reminded everyone why we were there."
John nodded quietly.
"That sounds like him."
"It does."
"I'm glad he was there."
The words left his mouth naturally.
Because he meant them.
After all, if someone had to stand beside Risa in moments like those...
He was relieved it was someone principled.
They talked for a few more minutes before saying goodnight.
The call ended.
Silence filled John's house.
He stared at the now dark screen of his phone.
A quiet ache settled somewhere inside his chest.
Not because he doubted Risa.
Never.
Not because he distrusted Win.
He respected him too much for that.
But because in moments like today...
When the debates became exhausting.
When emotions ran high.
When Risa needed someone beside her...
It could never be him.
He wasn't a senator.
He couldn't walk beside her into the session hall.
He couldn't quietly ask if she'd eaten after adjournment.
He couldn't stand beside her when the cameras stopped rolling.
Someone else could.
And today...
That someone had been Win.
John closed his eyes for a brief moment before smiling to himself.
Love wasn't always about being the one physically present.
Sometimes...
It meant trusting that the people around the one you loved would look after them until you could.
And for that...
He found himself quietly grateful.
Risks and Returns
Chapter 9
Three months flew by in the blink of an eye.
If there was one thing Win had learned after years in public service, it was that time inside the Senate worked differently. One moment, senators were celebrating the opening of a new Congress. The next, they were drowning in committee hearings, budget deliberations, and endless stacks of paperwork that somehow reproduced overnight.
Life simply... went on.
The Romblon issue remained on Win's desk, although thankfully it had yet to become public knowledge. Every now and then, his father would call, hoping to convince him that mining was the right business decision. Every now and then, Win would refuse just as politely.
Neither of them had changed their minds.
Meanwhile, John continued flying back and forth because of work. Whenever he was in Manila, he spent whatever little free time he had with Risa. They remained just as low-key as ever. Aside from the occasional interview where Risa accidentally—or intentionally—mentioned him, many people still doubted he even existed.
As for Win and Risa...
Nothing changed.
At least, that's what they thought.
They still sat beside each other during committee hearings whenever assigned together. They still exchanged draft bills before sessions. They still reminded each other about meetings, deadlines, and the occasional forgotten document. To them, it was nothing extraordinary. To everyone else... Well. Apparently, they had become one of the Senate's favorite little mysteries.
___________________________________
It all started with a newly hired legislative staffer.
Fresh from graduate school and barely on her second week at the Senate, she was still trying to memorize senators' names, offices, and which committee rooms were connected by the shortest hallways.
She hurried toward the Committee on Energy carrying a thick folder.
"Excuse me po," she asked one of the committee secretaries. "Saan ko po mahahanap si Senator Gatchalian?"
The secretary didn't even bother looking up from the attendance sheet she was checking.
"Tingnan mo muna kay Senator Hontiveros."
The young staffer blinked.
"Ha?"
"Nandoon 'yon."
"Sigurado po kayo?"
The secretary smiled.
"Mga 99.9%."
Confused but with nothing to lose, the staffer walked toward Senator Hontiveros' office.
She knocked.
One of Risa's staff opened the door.
"Nandito po ba si Senator Gatchalian?"
The staff member stepped aside.
Sure enough...
Win was there.
The two senators were standing in front of a whiteboard littered with handwritten notes, arguing over the wording of an amendment.
"'Encourage' is too weak," Risa said. "It should be 'require.'"
Win shook his head.
"Require is unconstitutional."
"Only if you read it literally."
"So, we're relying on interpretation now?"
"I'm relying on your ability to defend it on the floor."
The young staffer quietly handed Win the folder before excusing herself.
As soon as she left, she looked back once.
"Hala..."
She wasn't expecting to find him there.
___________________________________
By lunchtime, she was already telling a fellow new employee about it.
"I swear, akala ko office ni Senator Gatchalian pupuntahan ko."
"E bakit?"
"Nasa office pala ni Senator Hontiveros."
The other employee who overheard them laughed.
"Normal lang 'yan."
"Normal?"
"Oo."
"Madalas silang mag-usap tungkol sa bills."
The new one nodded slowly.
"Close sila?"
The older employee shrugged.
"Professional."
She paused.
"Pero oo."
___________________________________
A few weeks later, the same staffer noticed another thing.
Committee hearings had just ended.
Everyone was packing up.
Senators were leaving one by one.
Win stood first and gathered his folders.
Without even asking, Risa casually picked up two of them.
"I got these."
"You don't have to."
"I know."
She continued walking anyway.
Win simply adjusted the remaining folders in his arms and matched her pace.
Neither of them noticed the legislative staff watching from the back of the room.
One whispered,
"Ang tagal na ba nilang magkasama?"
Another answered,
"Since the last Congress."
"Ah..."
"...kaya pala."

The funny thing was...
The rumors never started because people caught them doing anything romantic.
There were no stolen glances (di pa kasi nila nakikita yung senate tapes).
No lingering touches .
No secret dates.
Nothing of the sort.
It was the little things.
Win remembering Risa's preferred seat during committee hearings.
Risa already knowing which statistics Win was about to cite.
He instinctively slowing down whenever she greeted Senate employees in the hallway.
She reminding him that he had another committee meeting in ten minutes because she knew he would lose track of time once he buried himself in reports.
Little things.
Things they no longer noticed because they had been doing them for years.
___________________________________
One afternoon, while waiting for the elevator, two security guards found themselves watching the familiar pair walk toward the parking area.
Senator Hontiveros was saying something that made Senator Gatchalian laugh. She lightly nudged his arm with the folder she was carrying, earning another chuckle from him. Neither of them noticed the amused glances they received from people they passed by.
The younger guard watched until the two disappeared around the corner.
"Sir..."
"Hm?"
"Napapansin n'yo rin ba?"
The older guard smiled knowingly.
"Sina Senator Hontiveros at Senator Gatchalian?"
The younger guard nodded.
"Parang... lagi silang magkasama."
The older guard let out a small laugh.
"Hindi naman lagi."
He paused.
"Pero madalas nga."
"Akala ko nga noon..." the younger guard admitted sheepishly.
The older guard raised an eyebrow.
"Ano?"
"Mag-asawa sila."
That made the older guard laugh out loud.
"Hoy! May boyfriend si Senator Hontiveros."
"I know, Sir."
"Kaya nga nagtaka ako."
The younger guard scratched his head.
"Ewan ko ba."
"Ang gaan lang kasi nilang tingnan."
"Parang..." he searched for the right words.
"parang matagal na silang magkakilala."
The older guard nodded.
"Aba ay matagal na talaga."
"Taon nay yan sila.”
The younger guard looked toward the hallway once more.
"Siguro kaya ganun."
"Hindi na nila kailangan magsalita nang marami."
"Gets na agad."
The older guard smiled.
"Sanay lang sila sa isa't isa."
After a brief silence, the younger guard chuckled.
"Pero kung hindi ko alam na may boyfriend si Senator Hontiveros..."
The older guard finished the sentence for him.
"iisipin mo talagang may something."
Both men laughed before the elevator doors finally opened.
"Huwag mo nang ikalat 'yan," the older guard teased as they stepped inside.
The younger guard grinned.
"Observation lang naman, Sir."

Of course...
The two senators remained blissfully unaware that they had become an unofficial topic of conversation among Senate employees.
After Hours
In this context, Sen Win and Sen Risa are secretly married prior to the internet's discovery of WinRi. Their immediate family are the only ones who know about their marriage. Heck, even their kauban in the Senate don't know.
Win: Mahal, may ipinakita sa akin si Missy (his staff). [he shows off a Twitter account—WinRi Official]
Risa: Pinakita din sa akin 'yan ni Xav (her staff), mahal. Nakita ko nga nakafollow ka kaagad. [she raised an eyebrow while smiling]
Win: Syempre, mahal, bagay daw tayong dalawa sabi nila e. Support natin yan. [she laughed and pinched his cheeks which immediately turned red]
Risa: Hay nako, Sherwin.
[she told him while they were having dinner]
Win: Tawag kasi nang tawag ng dawd sa akin yung mga anak natin mahal. I can't resist, kawawa naman sila. [he reasoned out]
Risa: Anak? More than seven na ba ang mga anak natin? [she was shaking her head, not because she was disappointed, on the contrary, she was amused]
Win: Thousands na mahal. Nangungulila nga raw sila sa nanay nila e. Baka naman mahal, balik ka ulit sa Twitter hehe. [he feels proud while saying that they have thousands of children na]
Risa: Hay nako mahal, alam mo namang busy tayo sa senate. Yung mga pinapagawa nga sa akin ng staff ko na pang TikTok di ko na rin nahaharap. [she sighs and as if on cue, he stood up and massage her shoulders while sneaking kisses on top her head]
Win: Sige mahal, makakapag-intay naman ang mga anak natin. In the mean time, babantayan ko na lang sila. [she just let out a laugh because she finds it adorable na he's volunteering na magbantay sa mga anak pero siya yung kailangang bantayan]
Win: Mahal, di na ba talaga magbabago isip mo about chairing the Senate Spouses Foundation? [he looked at her with those puppy eyes, Risa shook her head.]
Risa: Yan ka na naman sa mga biro mo mahal e. It’s okay if si Lexi ang mag lead [he pinched his cheeks and pressed her forehead on his, Win instantly turned red.]
Win: Pang shut up ko lang sana sa lahat na nagsasabing torpe ako [he smiled slyly.]
Risa: Iniimagine ko na mukha ni Sen Loren and Sen Pia [she holds off a laugh.]
Win: Iiyak na naman si Pia siguro [they both laugh].
Risa: Palagay ko, lahat sila nakanganga lang pag nagkataon [she’s talking about the kauban].
Win: Sila Migz at JV feeling ko may suspicion na e.
Risa: Ikaw kasi puro mahal di marunong maging subtle.

yeah ? well I asked The Machine, and it spies on you every hour of every day. I know because I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people, people like you. Crimes the government considered irrelevant. They wouldn’t act, so I decided I would. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You’ll never find us, but victim or perpetrator, if your number’s up, we’ll find you.
watching Person Of Interest in 2025 is so strange… like damn, their idea of what the AI apocalypse would look like seems so much cooler than what we’ve got going on right now. they thought we’d have a supercomputer battle to the death, but actually it’s just annoying billionaire tech bros making google images utterly useless by slurping up a bajillion gallons of water every microsecond.
