Main six and reading together? Weather one reading to the other, or just mutually reading the same book at the same time? (Ex: sitting in their lap while you hold the book and you both just read it or something of the sort)
The Main 6 and Mc Reading Together
Anon, this may have been one of my favourite requests I've gotten so far because I'm a romantic and it makes my heart very happy.
As a person who enjoys reading as a pastime, I would absolutely love to spend time just reading together with the love of my life. There have been several occasions where I've imagined my so's head in my lap, on a picnic blanket and just us reading a book together! But alas, I am lonely and the only way this fantasy will be fulfilled is in my dreams. Anyways, I hope I have adequately fulfilled your request, dearest Anon. Enjoy! :)
- Asra loves reading together with you. It's a habit he developed after bringing you back to life. He'd always read to you to help you learn your words, to help you speak and to help you relearn how to read.
- You two will lie in bed, he's holding the book up with one arm while you're resting your head on the other. He'll like to gently play with your hair as he reads to you.
- Sometimes, reading is a whole date! The two of you will bathe, get dressed in your pyjamas, light some candles, make some tea and then rest under a fluffy blanket on a nice fresh bed.
- Once in a while, Asra will gently kiss your head as he's reading, just to make sure you know how much he's enjoying this. As he's reading, he may also absentmindedly caress your shoulder or trace patterns on the small of your back.
- If you offer to read, Asra's heart will explode with love. Hearing your voice lifting the words from the page so easily makes him fall in love with you all over again, especially since he's the one who retaught you that! He just looks at you with so much awe.
- Nadia values quality time with you as well as an intellectual activity. Sometimes, the two of you will lie together, reading two separate books as she runs her fingers through your hair and sometimes, you'll be reading the same book together.
- Nadia does not like being read to. It makes her feel childish and incompetent to an extent. For this reason, you usually just lie in silence, reading the same words. Nadia usually finishes before you, so she just looks at you lovingly and waits for you to give her the nod. Then her elegant fingers flip the page.
- The two of you enjoy discussing what you have read, exchanging ideas and opinions. There have been a few occasions where you spent the whole day debating what the author meant through certain lines.
- Nadia makes sure to read any books you have read, so that she may discuss them with you in depth. You'll find her awake in the middle of the night, in bed, the words only illuminated by a candle, catching up on a book you'd finished that day, so that she may share her views on it with you.
- Julian will find you casually reading on the couch and will come cuddle up to you. He puts an arm around your shoulder and looks at the page. You quickly brief him on the plot and start reading out loud.
- Julian quickly interjects whenever there's dialogue, assigning each character with a different voice. The two of you often burst into laughter as how funny the accents are or how ridiculous the character interactions sound actually being said.
- A lot of the time, you two end up essentially just acting out the book, laughing your heads off in the living room. And things can get DRAMATIC! Full on costume changes, wigs, props and even a sound effects (all courteously provided by Julian).
-Sometimes, the two of you just relax together on separate ends of the couch, reading separate books. When one of you laughs, the other looks up and you'll read the funny line out loud. If you cry, the other will be there to comfort and listen to rants. Just being there together.
- Muriel is not the most social person, as we all know, so staying home and reading is definitely more than okay with him. He'll light the fireplace and make some warm drinks and then the two of you settle in eachother's arms on the floor.
- He likes when you read to him. Although he is perfectly capable of reading on his own, he just doesn't like to. To him a book is just words on paper, so when you read to him, it's like you're telling a story. He loves that about it.
- Muriel enjoys having you lay on his chest as he hold the book up and you read the words. Especially if this is happening outdoors. The warm sun gently creeping through the thick forest canopy, basking you in a green light and the cheerful birdsong in the distance makes for a perfect reading scene,
- Sometimes, just before bed, Muriel will bring you a book and ask you to read for him. There's just something so soothing about your voice that puts him at ease and helps him fall asleep.
- Portia loves when you read to her! She loves the sound of your voice as it vocalises the ink on the page and the range of intonations you use to give meaning to the words. She loves looking at you as you read, watching your lips move in awe. Don't be surprised if she suddenly starts kissing you.
- Although she can read, there's just something about you reading to her that she really loves. It's like you're telling her a story and it's almost nostalgic, in some sense. It reminds her of her carefree childhood days.
- At the end of a book, the two of you will absolutely be geeking out about it to eachother. She'll tell you her theories and personal headcanons about the characters in exchange for yours.
- Portia has, on countless occasions, taken books with her to your picnic dates. Reading together hits different when it's out outside in the sun, on an open field. You'll read to her as she makes you flower crowns, but don't worry, she's listening to every word.
- Lucio does not like to read. He sees it as a boring and mundane task that lacks spontaneity and fun. But when you read to him, reading has meaning! You're doing something nice for him, so he appreciates it.
- Sometimes, however, if the book isn't to his liking or, quite simply, he gets bored, Lucio will start kissing your lips so that you can no longer say words. And so, just like that, reading together turns into a make out session.
- Lucio is the type of person to get annoyed at dumb interactions or plot holes. He'll ask you about them and force you to reread previous pages to make sure that things are consistent. Often, you have to explain that you don't know the answers to his questions because you didn't write the book.
- A lot of the time, when you're reading to him, he'll rest his head in your lap and make you rub his head. He quickly falls asleep to the sound of your voice and you are left with some private reading time.
