My Paradox muse is pretty much dead so Iâm gonna make it properly known that Iâm on hiatus from RPing for a while. School starts up monday and I really REALLY need to focus better for my own sake.
So this is bye for I donât know how long. I promise to be back though!
queen-bee-placido started following you
"Well now isn't this surprising..." He mumbles to himself, staring at the construct from a distance. "Now why in the world would you be here of all places...?"

âI can get it.â He wasnât against trying to help in any way he could. It made him sound like a thief but at the end of it all most people remembered him as a thief anyway. So what was wrong with stealing a whole deck instead of one overpowered dragon? Besides it was rightfully Judaiâs so in all technicalities he wasnât stealing⊠He was just appropriating something for a friend. Yeah⊠That was it.
âWaitâŠâ It seemed as though her reasoning had finally caught up to him. âSo youâre without a home until heâŠâ He caught himself from saying something like âstops being a dickâ and just frowned. âMay I offer you a place to stay?â
âYusei doesnât like you, though. I donât think heâll hand it over to you.â Stardust might, but thatâs just to get rid of any trace of me.
She sighed, and let her guard down for a bit, lowering her shoulders as she stared at the time traveler with a bit of desperation to keep her dignity intact. âYeah. I donât have anywhere to go right now. Iâd prefer to not burden you with anything, though.â Especially because Iâm not in the best shape right now. Then again, you already know that, Paradox. The joys of having constant crap happening. âYou may, but I probably wonât accept.â
âHis opinion of me is based on one single incident. The man is unwilling to see that people can change despite seeing Jack go from nice to jerky and back again about five or six times in the span of their friendship despite the fact that Jack did the same thing as me for longer. Heâs also seemingly fine with Akiâs change from near-evil to good. And yet someone comes along who doesnât agree with him and he takes the little kid approach and says âgo away, I donât like youâ.â Paradox sighed a little at his own outburst. It had to come out. âI really donât care what he thinks of  me but if he wonât hand it over even with a proper explanation then Iâll simply take it by force.â
âWell Iâm offering and insisting that you come stay with me. Itâll probably be temporary,â He paused at this point, keeping himself from adding the workd âunfortunatelyâ to the end of the sentence. âBut at least you wonât be on the street.â
She closed her eyes, and shook her head. No. Yusei just⊠hasnât forgiven you. You took something extremely precious to him⊠I was the only one you didnât pickpocket anything from. Just my friends. It doesnât have anything to do with you seeing eye to eyeâŠ
âDonât worry about my deck. Iâll just get it when Yusei says I can come back and Stardust isnât scared of me anymore.â She answered, not sure if she wanted to accept the manâs offer or not. Part of her did, considering it wasnât like Paradox was a bad guy, but⊠something didnât seem like it would end well if she did.
He nearly rolled his eyes but resisted the urge in favour of leaning on the screen in front of him.
When she nothing about his offer, the man let out a sigh into the night air. "I insist Judai. I'm not leaving you here. I won't be able to forgive myself if I leave you here." If he didn't then who knows how long she'd be out here. Especially since her safe return home relied on someone who was as thick as a brick!
He knew that she had been through worse but it didnât stop him from worrying. Apparently becoming fleshy again had literallyturned him soft. Under normal circumstances he probably wouldnât have cared.
âJudaiâŠâ He had to be careful of his words here. He didnât want her to go running off angrily or something. âI know that youâve been through worse than this but that isnât a good enough excuse to brush it off. And the excuse that there were three of them isnât a better one either. If I were in your shoes Iâd avoid picking fights and if I was on someoneâs âterritoryâ Iâd have probably skedaddled.
A long sigh and a pause followed before he tried again. âIâm not trying to reprimand you. You can do what you want, I just want to help. But if I may ask⊠Whereâs your deck?â
She was pretty close to just leaving, really not wanting to deal with the whole âYouâre better than thisâ speech. She knew she was better than this. If she had her deck she wouldâve gotten out of being beaten up.
But no, he had to ask where it was. Whereâs that thing youâre supposed to guard with your life Judai? Why donât you have a piece of your soul with you? How can you call yourself a duelist when you left your deck behind when you ran out of the dumb garage!?
âBack at the garage.â Brown eyes closed and she sighed, obviously giving into the shame of losing all of her pride within a short span of time. âAnd I canât go back until Yusei says itâs okay, so donât even suggest trying to get it back.â

The female instantly stood up without any difficulty, arms crossed and a stern expression crossing her face, albeit, with the pink and purple spots, it didnât look very scary.
âIâm fine. They kept their hits honest, and they didnât do anything else to me other than beat me up for being in âtheir territoryâ.â She spat, instantly changing her gaze to another area of the small outlet. âAnd because Iâm stuck as a girl right now doesnât mean anything. I can still fight pretty good, you know⊠Iâm just smaller and there were three of them.â Well, isnât that a dumb excuse. Why canât I just be left alone right now? Seriously. My pride took a nosedive into the ground. I donât want anybodyâs pity.
âTrust me, Iâm okay. Iâve been through worse, though⊠if you really studied me, you should already know that.â

So what was wrong with stealing a whole deck instead of one overpowered dragon? Besides it was rightfully Judai's so in all technicalities he wasn't stealing... He was just appropriating something for a friend. Yeah... That was it.
"Wait..." It seemed as though her reasoning had finally caught up to him. "So you're without a home until he..." He caught himself from saying something like 'stops being a dick' and just frowned. "May I offer you a place to stay?"
Lights, really bright ones at that. She winced at first, covering her face to avoid the glare, until she realized.
Crap. I know that bike. A sigh. Paradoxâs duel runner was pretty iconic, if⊠you could say iconic.
âHello.â She answered, not feeling too great about anything anymore. It was always this way, it seemed. Yusei or something would drive her to leave, and Paradox would find and pull her back onto her feet. She didnât necessarily want to be the damsel in distress anymore, but really, her own clumsiness and forgetful state made it very hard to be anything but.
âIâm fine, before you ask. I just lost a fight, thatâs all.â She glanced away, pulling her knees in closely. Itâs not like I need help.
Only I do. I always do. Iâm too stupid to get by on my own anymore. I got too used to having somebody to lean against, didnât IâŠ?
Getting a good look at her, Paradox could tell that she was anything but fine. If she was fine then he was the queen of England. And just to clarify, he wasnât.
The man shook his head at her slowly. Her luck was terrible and his timing seemed to be rather incredible. Whenever something happened to Judai it always seemed to be him who was there to put her complicated puzzle back together. He couldnât really explain why per say either⊠It was almost a selfish reason in and of itself because it certainly wasnât for Yuseiâs sake.
âYouâre not fine.â He said eventually, crossing his arms. âGenerally speaking fighting is bad but when youâre like this,â he paused and gestured to her petite figure, âthen itâs even worse.â
Without even having to think he asked, âCan you stand?â

Luckily it was nothing more than the beating. They let her go after she stopped reacting, and sheâd wandered here, to a damp, dark, and dirty alleyway countless blocks away. She didnât know how long sheâd been here, considering she passed out, but it seemed like a while. When she got hungry she checked the dumpster, so sheâd been here for at least a few days. The brunette didnât know why, but she couldnât find the motivation to move. Where am I gonna go, anyway?
She knew where her deck was, but bringing herself to go and get it⊠that was another story. It was inside the bedside table drawer, hidden out of sight from when she was pregnant and spent most of her time in the bed, hiding under the covers from the nausea and cramps that always came.
But going back to get it meant going back to the garage, going back to Yusei, going back to Stardust, and more importantly, going back where she wasnât wanted. No, Stardust didnât want her around. Sheâd screwed up, after all. No matter how much she wanted to go back⊠she was stuck here.
Stuck in the cold, wet, quiet at times, loud at times, painful, lonely, filthy alley that was currently âhomeâ.
It was never his intention to come at her most dire hours⊠It was always just luck.
It was getting late and he had been off to buy milk, forced to go out of his way because the closer convenience store was under renovations. He was driving home muttering to himself about the inconvenience of the whole thing when his lights reflected off of something, making him come to a sudden stop out of reflex. Paradox couldnât be sure if it was a cat or something else but he didnât want it jumping out in front of him.
His mystery reflection turned out to be nothing more than dumpster but something else caught his eye instead, making him frown into the darkness. There was a human figure shrouded in the darkness of the alleyway. Worried by the idea of someone in an alleyway (heâd seen enough suffering to last him the rest of his days), he gripped his handle bars and turned to front wheel towards the alleyway, showering the small space with light.
What he found wasnât what he was expecting. ââŠâŠâŠâŠ..Judai?â

Cold. Wet. Quiet at times. Loud at times. Painful. Lonely. Filthy Words to describe her surroundings werenât exactly⊠nice. Alleyways never were, though, and the bruises on her face were still there. The black eye had faded somewhat, but the red blotches of color spread out on her arms from where sheâd been grabbed were still there, and she could feel the skin on her lips still busted a bit.
Given, if she hadnât forgotten it, this would not have happened.
âHey girly, this is our territory. Git outta here.â
âHuh? I donât see any signs with your name on it.â
âYou think youâre cute, huh? Scram before we beat ya up, unless youâre here to provide a service or a duel.â
âPff. Iâd never run from a bunch of thugs like you. Iâll duel. Bring it on.â Hands reached back to where her deck pouch normally was, only⊠there was nothing there. No cards. No pouch. Nothing. Just air.
âWell, girly, donât seem like you have cards. Boys, pin her against the wall. Letâs show her what we do to trespassers.â

Ask my character deeply personal questions. Try to make them stutter.
ooc: My brain shut down...
So itâs a zombie with a sense of humour typing this.
I apologize for the lack of activity on all my accounts. I wasnât very inspired recently, especially while at my parents. Iâm back on my nice and fast comp so I hope to be more active in the coming days. HoweverâŠ
School starts back tomorrow and I would like to focus properly so Tumblr will only be accessed between classes or afterwards depending on homework quantity. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Also, expect a mun photo with the new hair colour :3
And with that Iâm off. Good night Tumblr!!
