i swear that one of the most heartbreaking things about Malik’s backstory is that some of kids knew him.

They’d played together, and learned together and they might have sat next to each other in class, and Malik was 14 then so it was only four years ago. Would they have treated him differently if they’d realised who he was? They might not have even cared, because no matter who he was, someone had known him and loved him, even if it wasn’t them. But THEY KNEW HIM AND HE HAD TO LIE THERE WHILE THEY BEAT HIM A PULP and they’d been CHILDREN TOGETHER

What if while the kids are burning the sickos bodies in Hyde Park, Shadowman hears someone calling his name. His real name. And he’s shocked, because that voice, he thought he’d never hear that voice again 

He must be dreaming 

And as he turns around he is almost knocked off of his feet in a hug so tight and intimate he freezes up, only to feel tears rolling down his face a moment later because it’s her. It’s really her. His last surviving friend from before the sickness; Go-Girl, who left for the countryside alone because Jester had convinced him it was a better idea to stay in the city. What use was chasing a childhood crush, when self preservation was key in the new world? He’d let her go and mourned the loss, thinking she was long dead, keeping from letting anyone else in because what if they left like she did?

But here she is now, alive and holding onto him for dear life and Shadowman doesn’t ever intend to let go of her again. And he never does

I really wish I knew how Ed would’ve turned out if jack and bam hadn’t died. Would’ve still been a crazy fighter or would he still be the Ed that crouched by the road and covered his face while his friends killed the grown ups i really wish the fandom was bigger so at the very least I could read a fanfiction about it. Jack Ed and Bam are three of my favorite characters mainly because I read the dead first by mistake before I read the enemy so I’m a lot more emotionally attached to those characters then the ones in the enemy. I also might’ve just finished the last book and might be suffering from an intense case of the feels
