Cemeteries are not wastes of space. Historical cemeteries ESPECIALLY are not wastes of space. The fact developers are continuously foaming at the mouth to destroy them and put a strip mall up in their place should make you even more determined to help maintain them. crazy how the printer is the only piece of tech that acts up like that almost every day of its life. and we just accept it

i don't think i've ever met a printer that actually wanted to be a printer. i think most printers have dreams of being on the stage

I met a printer early in my IT career that did not want to be a printer. it sat in a school reprographics room, sullenly chewing any job it was fed - if it deigned to notice them at all.

then one day, a miracle occurred. an exhausted physics teacher, instead of punching in 12 for the number of copies she wanted of the 30-page booklet she had made for her A-level physics class, punched in 1200.

and that printer came to life. this print job was its moment, its magnum opus! it WOULD NOT be parted from it, no matter what we did, until we physically unplugged it from the wall, by which time it had printed almost 200 copies.

moral of the story: no printer wants to be a printer, unless you also do not want it to be a printer for a bit.

One time I was leaving a friend's place and an older lady with basically no English came up to me and communicated that she was very cold and needed a ride. She pointed to tell me where to go.

I got there and her daughter or granddaughter came out and was like omg her phone died we were worried

yk when I first started watching Spn back in August I thought the fandom was just doing what fandoms do and shipping 2 characters together and exaggerating their interactions with not much actual romantic tension or subtext.

listen! dean is always passing jack a beer — it’s his love language, feeding the people around him — but what if one day jack just sort of quietly goes, “may i have… something else?”

and dean sort of scoffs like, “kid, i’m giving you beer even though you’re — y’know, technically four or whatever.”

and jack nods and says, “and i appreciate it! i just sort of don’t like the taste.”

and dean shrugs and heads back to the bunker fridge and is like, “alright, well, we’ve got…” beer. there is only beer in the refrigerator, and a bit of (probably old) milk.

and so dean goes on a grocery run and gets apple juice and capri suns and sparkling water because he doesn’t know what the hell the kid is going to like. and it becomes a habit to pass jack a goddamn juice box instead of a beer, and assorted other beverages crowd for space in the refrigerator, and one day dean realizes that he’s reached for two cokes instead of two beers, not even thinking twice about what he’d grabbed for himself. one day, he realizes that the simple act of having a kid who didn’t wanna drink did more for his own drinking problem than anything else had.

one day, all of a sudden, dean realizes that he has become a dad, and yet he is nothing like john winchester.
