"Oooo! This is really good!"
"Lucky guess on my part then?"
"I can promise you I'm a not as criminally inclined as my costume's inspiration,"
"No? Pity. Might have been a bit of a laugh if you were lightfingered at least."

"Dance with me,"
"That's a dangerous ask, love. I'm likely to tread on your toes."
At the Merriwick Inn
"Welcome," Twylla beamed at the person who'd just come through the front door. She was heading in the direction of the dining room, a basket of fresh washed kitchen laundry on her hip. But she paused to greet them. "Ah," she said as the clock chimed, "And you're just in time for tea and toast,"
Ciaran had decided to check out the inn that Daire had mentioned, if for no other reason than to determine that his brother hadn't invented the story entirely. But stepping into the quite mystical space rather forbid anything but utter belief in it being the truth. He looked up at the source of the voice, laughing a bit. "Ah... is that customary even for those just passing through?"
"Have you ever had that happen? Like a 'is there a doctor in the house' moment?"
"A few times, yeah. Last time was on a flight actually. Pilot went into cardiac arrest so they asked over the speakers if anyone was a doctor."
"I guess that means you're permanently, unofficially, on call. Ready to save the day at the drop of a hat,"
"Such is the nature of a medical oath, in some people's eyes," he agreed with a nod. "But cardio matters are much more... unreliable in terms of whether I'd be able to intervene successfully, I'll admit."
"Well...that's alright. I'm happy to drop anywhere you'd like me to."
Ciaran raised a brow at the comment before shaking his head and sipping at his tea.
"I am rather enjoying my Barry's, so I'm not sure a sudden live saving effort would be ideal."
"Well..." Max drawled, with a contemplative frown. "Would that involve life saving? Mouth to mouth, perhaps?"
"The chest compressions are normally more vital, in fairness," Ciaran replied quickly.
"I mean....is that ever certain though?"
"People suddenly feeling the need to drop dead...I mean."
"Mmm, fate is far from a gentle mistress," Ciaran replied a touch gravely. "But I'm not off getting pissed or anything, I'm just drinking tea. It's hardly going to impare me."
At Poppy's Brews
"Ah, well, I am off duty at the moment, sure. Unless someone tries to drop dead of a heart attack."
